Work well as our daily task management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is one of the few task managers that worked well with the other software stacking that we use. The integration is flawless and makes us able to use it without any problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet needs to revamp the spreadsheet to be able to solve complex calculations like MS Excel can do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our projects need collaboration from users in different departments as well as our client's involvement. Smartsheet provides an easy platform to make this collaboration happen and to have total control over the collaboration settings.
A complete and versatile tool to get through all the stages and processes of Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Its intuitive and excel-like design helps users to get familiar with. Collet data and prepare documents is effective and streamlined through forms and document generation. Access through the mobile app is very helpful for mobile teams, as it allows them to enter and consult information conveniently on the go.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is missing certain options, such as including multiple rows in document generation, previews for notifications and an assistant option to develop customized dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet serves as a beneficial and comprehensive tool, fostering efficiency, transparency, and collaboration to meet project requirements. It enhances tasks management, scheduling, cost tracking, communication and reporting aspects of projects, contributing to their overall success.
The automation we needed to improve communication
What do you like best about the product?
Automation is easy to implement. The system is intuitive, so it is possible to automate complex processes. The complicated part is designing the route, but it is related to the process, not the function.
Also, the software automate other tasks with a couple of clicks, such as sending emails and reminders. I also loved its versatility because it can be adapted to my needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
The simplicity of automation is sometimes limiting. I would like to use a command language to have more complete automation. However, it works well for that it offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We decided to automate much of the communicatin while working on a project. We no longer need weekly meetings because we can see progess through Smartsheet. Reviewing all communications on a Smartsheet sheet, including mails, instant messages, and others, is also easier.
Using Smartsheet is smart
What do you like best about the product?
I like that's its easy to use and integrate with other systems. While it's highly customizable and full of functional automations you may need on a worksheet, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure how to use it. Plus it's easy to share with in the inay work groups
What do you dislike about the product?
Having those nice functions I mentioned of course will have you a run for your buck. The price comparing it to it's contemporaries is more steeper.
Also while it is to learn and to use, there are advanced functions that maybe a little bit harder to figure out to finally make it happen.
Otherwise, having a precise automated sheets working for you is a smart move.

Tasks for Project, portfolio and various work & project management needs. specially, where it is tiresome to go at one by one. IT has systimatically make things easier to track and easier to update for my entire department
Effective for Product Management/Operations
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a very effective and efficient way to organize and track tasks/items across multiple teams and multiple products/projects. It is a great project management and operational tool for our team to stay on top of everything we need to all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
When updating a large amount of items/tasks in a smartsheet for multiple users, it can generate a lot of notifications for the users. Finding a way to reduce notifications, or organize them in fewer emails would be ideal!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is providing an effective and efficient way for our team to organize operations, project management tasks, and workflows. When we are working with multiple teams and stakeholders, it is very helpful to have one place where everyone can stay up to date with our next steps, priorities, and operations.
Workflow automation made my repetitive tasks less boring.
What do you like best about the product?
What I find most helpful were flexible workflow automation, reminders and approval request features. The cell linking function has proved to be of great value, letting us consolidate datas from many sheets into a centralized dashboard. That is definitly a strong point for data managemet and accessibility. Also, the Gantt charts functionality has rendered substantial help in tracking our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet have been a tad less performant while dealing with big datasets. Also, they didn't provide any tutorials how to handle more complex macros or integrate third-party solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has been instrumental in tackling data management, task and project orchestration, providing a boost to our productivity. It's a boon to have datas all in one spot and the ability to picture it with lively charts and dashboards has enhanced our decision-making remarkably. Furthermore, it has helped save time and cut down inefficiencies by automating repetitive tasks.
With limited time, I've made it work well
What do you like best about the product?
I haven't found a ton of time to explore the many training resources and features of SmartSheets, but without much effort on my part, I've made it work quite well to use for basic project management with my small communications department. I use some conditional formatting that's helpful to quickly identify priority projects. I use some basic automations, which were super easy to implement, that notify members when they are assigned a project and when a deadline is approaching, and it works quite well for this.
There are MANY many training resources and I will one day spend a bunch of time with them. There are also a number of features that I don't yet make use of, and it seems like the platform is incredibly versatile and adaptable.

What do you dislike about the product?
I suspect most of my dislikes are related to my not having the time to dig into the many training resources, but here are my main points of frustration:
1. I wish there was an auto-sort feature. When I add a project or make changes to deadlines in my project management spreadsheet, I'd like to have it automatically rearrange itself rather than me having to turn off the filter (which I use to filter out completed or abandoned projects), then select the three sort criteria I use (deadline date, priority then type of deadline), then turn my filter back on - every single time. It feels like there must be an easier way to do it, but if there is, I haven't found it.
2. I'd like tasks within an overall project to work a little more intuitively. You can nest tasks within the overall project, but when you sort by due date, the sorting always takes the value of the overall project rather than the next upcoming date.
3. It sometimes takes a bit for the page to update when my colleague submits a file to me for review. I'll get the notifications then go to the page and have to refresh a few times before the update is visible.
4. I'd also love it if, when I get a notification, I click on that notification and it goes directly to the line the notification is about. It does give you the line number, which is helpful, but a click to get there feature would be really handy.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a million projects I am juggling, including many that require collaboration with colleagues. SmartSheets gives me a helpful way to track all of these projects and collaborations.
Great tool that allows to replace MS Project
What do you like best about the product?
It offers the online access to the project planning tool, containing all functionalities, that are needed for efficient project planning. It is like a MS Project and much more. I love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Basically it is hard to point out things I don;t like about the Smartsheet. Minor glitches related do scalling a Gantt chart maybe, but this is insignificant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows an efficint project planning, replacing exels. The chery on top of a cake is a possibility to share the plan with stakeholders who don't have a full licence to use the system.
