A straightforward project management solution that helps to reduce time to market
What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
The solution is straightforward. Whenever a requirement arises, we create three things in Smartsheet: a project plan, a dashboard, and internal documents. It is done through the form and Smartsheet's automation services. This process shortens the time to market from seven days to less than 12 hours.
What is most valuable?
The product simplifies project management. We have worked with other project management tools and found that Smartsheet simplifies the overall interaction in an organization. You can do everything from the software.
What needs improvement?
Smartsheet needs to improve the user interface.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using the product since 2014.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
I have never heard any PMs complain about Smartsheet and would rate stability a ten out of ten.

I rate the solution's scalability a ten out of ten. It doesn't have any limitations on scalability.

Configuring user identity is complex in the tool.

This app has a varieties tools with automation features to support project and data management tasks such as forms, pivot, data shuttles, dashboard, etc.

Sometimes still experence issues like cannot save data or have limit of lines and row in a data sheet.
Support team often could not help resolve the issue immediately, have to wait for few days so they could escalate to dev team.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This app offers automations workflow and tools help update data automatically and allow multiple persons work on the sheet simutaneously to keep the database as live, also provide audit feature to review if needed.
The best application for managing staff activities
What do you like best about the product?
I feel comfortable using Smartsheet. It is quite pleasant to use. Even inexperienced users can navigate comfortably after a couple of hours of experimentation.
The interface is also excellent. It could be more modern, but it has enough elements to be functional and user-friendly.

What do you dislike about the product?
It has some bugs that could be easily corrected:
- Reminders are not sent at times.
- Freezes when handling a lot of information.
- Mails are not sent either, despite being automate.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have the responsibility of assigning tasks to different people. I do it almost every day because I make decisions based on the progress and the activities' general status. The system has allowed me to make timely decisions.

It is well-priced for all functions. It is not so cheap for companies, but is always worth it.
One of the most useful functions is to collect and analyze information objectively. This is done through reports, charts, graphs and more.
It is also very customizable. This is an excellent advantage because users can use it for different purposes and ways.

It is not easy to use. It has so many functions that it takes time, even if you have experience with this kind of software. However, I like the amount of material available to learn.

Smartsheet has helped me make my work easier and more efficient. I do the same with other workers' tasks because I manage a small work team.

Reporting issue is still there we are unable to extract report with more and relevant information as compared to other tools

Some users might find Smartsheet initially complex to learn, especially if they are not familiar with spreadsheet-based project management tools. Limited Automation, less comprehensive for certain advanced features or troubleshooting scenarios.

Working Smarter
What do you like best about the product?
I love that everything related to a specific project is kept in one location. I am able to schedule follow up's with colleagues without sending individual emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not yet found something that I dislike. The platform is user friendly and there are many ways to track and manage projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using the tools provided to me, I am able to create checklists and customised templates which can be used as a guideline to ensure all aspects of a project is covered before closing. It helps to keep everything organised and manageable.
Smartsheets is the best for organization!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the feautres that let me assign and categorize my databases and lists. I like the functionality with the automations and how it can work with other programs. Smartsheets is so much better than the standard excel sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve was somewhat difficult for me as I have not used this format for organizing, but once you get the hang of it it is great!

Smartsheets solves my lead management and organization problems. It can get hectic but I make sure to always log in and input my data in smartsheet because it is a major part of my process.
We Love Smartsheets!
What do you like best about the product?
We're using Smartsheets as our PeopleOps (HR) planning and execution tool. We use it to help hold one another accountable, set priorities, and set key dates/reminders. The tool is easy to use, and the dashboard feather is really helpful for our team. We also really love being able to assign key tasks to members of the team along with reminders that are sent to Slack automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Each user needs a license which makes collaborating with one-off teams/people hard at times. We've figured out workarounds and the team loves the system. One solution may be to have temporary contributors, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets is helping with cross-disciplinary collaboration and project management. We're able to work across disciplines/teams and effectively manage our projects seamlessly. We also love the dashboard views, which are helpful for getting the team updates quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
It is one place for my team to go to keep in the look. Dashboard and forms are so powerful. With dashboards you can set it up for the end user to just load forms. This will then make it faster for them to turn in required numbers for work. Forms are quickly becoming better than they were in the beginning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now my least favorite part is with forms, you are not able to search all of them. I have a couple of sheets that have over 100 forms made on it. I created a Employee record portal which requires forms to turn in the trainings when they are done. I have to sit and go row by row to find the one that I want to update when we have a change or find an error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is allowing our teams to have that one stop place for all the details on a project or workflow. Building Dashboards to support the required data just enhances the experince. Currently we are using to hold our Companys training records and also our trianing documents. The end users just have to go and access the trainings, then will out a form saying they completed it. No more keying names, training types, etc when a training has been completed.
