Love the flexibility, but takes time to learn to use well
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility to create all sorts of workflow supporting tools, automating simple tasks and getting information from the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
the tool is relativly complex. You need a high proficency with the tool to get real good results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps structuring inputs, and sharing progress on specific tasks without the need to always creat extensive reports.

What do you like best about the product?
The concurrent working capability, the ease of setup and speed at which it can be used and learnt is fantastic. Bridge fills a very necessary gap in the capability that was previously lacking allowing inter-sheet workflows. It being a one-stop shop for almost all the various types of data input and storage mechanisms we require. The API is excellent which has enabled us to automate the link out to our Azure database and visualisation suites allowing us to combine it with data from our other source systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GANTT chart lacks some fundamental functionality that would let us replace MSP as the standard planning application for simple planning tasks. We also really need servers in the UK to allow us to use it on our range of security and off-shoring conscious government, nuclear and defence clients. The forms could also be much better with multi-column layout options and the ability to edit existing data as opposed to just entering it. The licensing model seems to be quite agressive with continual limits being encountered despite having spend a lot to get Enterprise licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We currently work on many of our smaller projects using a suite of excel files that are inconsistent and uncontrolled. Smartsheet is allowing us to standadise our approach to Project Management on these jobs and enabled us to connect our database and visualisation suite to the system without having to continually modify the mapping as the structure can be locked down and centrally managed through a change process, removing the hize of cotttage industry we previously had. This is enabiling us to offer a consistent and professional service and reporting outputs to our clients that has been extremely well recieved and reducing the time our teams spend manipulating data allowing them to be more proactive with analysis and creating and chasing actions.
A solid platform, however limiting unless you pay for extras
What do you like best about the product?
We like that it simple to use in its simple to use in its basix format. I allows us to move our work into workspaces, allowing us to seperate our clients from one another.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its functions are limiting and also time consuming unless you pay for costly extras which are not helpful to start up or small business that can'y afford this cost however need the function that they require.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to keep all of our infirmation in one place in managable locations which can be shared with the team members that need them making it easy for them to find the information they are looking for.
A complete business application
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful aspect is keeping track of and updating all the business tasks and activities and sharing updates with your peers and team members. The reporting features are add-ons that help anyone from mid to upper-level management.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take time to thoroughly understand and adapt to the most complete usage of the smart sheets. There can also be some confusion at the start where with improper access level permissions, you might end-up in double efforts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving all various aspects of proper project management, including task assignments, tracking, and progress. It is also very helpful in keeping an eye on our budget and milestones.
Great project planning tool with a lot of flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that you can work off one master spreadsheet to store all different data types and then create reports showing only relative information for different end users. We've been using smartsheet now for a few years and it is a lot more advanced than excel. Even simple things like a calendar widget on date columns have made life a lot easier when entering dates to plans.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to share contact groups with specific users. We have sheets that users are working on and would like to use the send mail option on a row to send to an update to specific user groups but can only send to individuals
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monthly planning in a development enviroment, sending forecasts to translators one when they can expect new jobs for translation and using the same forecasts for planning our development day to day activities

What do you like best about the product?
The collaborative aspect of Smartsheet is the most important feature for us as it allows us to enhance project management at the group level.
The ability to effortlessly link sheets together for better reporting is also a key feature for managers.

What do you dislike about the product?
The most useful functions require the whole organization to upgrade to business licenses. Some functions could either be included in non-business licenses or allow the possibility for specific users to activate business license functions, for managers in particular who need more reporting functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows us to easily create collaborative Grantt project plannings through the use of a template that is shared in a common workgroup for Project Managers.
Great product that has really taken off in my organisation!!
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is adaptable and can be developed and used in many differing situations which is great. I created assets that can manage different business functions, or I have downloaded pre built templates. I have always found more than one way of using Smartsheet to overcome a situation presented to me. The product usage continues to grow in the organisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates and improvements are sometime slower than expected but they do eventually appear. Smartsheet do consider feedback for improvements but sometimes don’t act on them as quickly as I would like, but the more feedback they obtain the bigger the likelihood they make improvements.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easu to chare with the customers, so it allows them to track updates and progress on the project. It's also easy to add new lines which are presented on gant chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
No possibility to change data format from sunday to monday in callendar. No option to add tabs.Issue also with flags, it could be more of them. Nice to have would be easier way to present comments

The app has some great advantages such as acting as online data centre allows free collaboration from multiple people, and also has advanced data analytics and data management tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The basic plan is quite pricy charging per user with limited features. It requires upgrades to business or enterprise plan use other advanced features like data shuttles, datamesh, workapp, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps me to allocate tasks to relevant personnels and keep track of their progresses, this also allows me to tag their name in their name in the data sheet or remind them about the task due dates with the setup workflow.
With this app, I can collaborate with my input into data sheets owned by others as well, so no need to send many emails back and forth.

Vital Source of Truth
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets serves as a source of truth to tie together data from multiple ERP, operating and middleware systems. It is the "golden thread" that binds all our data together.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when the sheets are slow to load and the dropdown lists have to be maitained manually (there is no option to make the dropdown lists dynamic).
