Great tool for project managers and high level stakeholders
What do you like best about the product?
Templates are really useful and allow me as project manager to expedite my job and also for tracking purpose. Other thing I like is that allow me to add my stakeholders and process owner and they received the notification on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, but just sometimes notify owners on changes that are a mistake. (for example if a update the status by mistake, the user receives the notification right away regardless it was a mistake and I didnt save it).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It help me to organize my team and to notify and keep informed high level stakeholders.
Low barrier to entry but current licensing model precludes more-widespread use
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use has historically been the strength of smartsheet for me. While I have expert-level experience with many project management tools, anyone on my teams capable of using google sheets has the technical knowledge to maintain their own task data. Reducing barriers to information flow has been a driver, but this is now in question due to change in licensing terms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because we lost the ability for free users to maintain their own task-level expected completion date information, a major draw to the program has been lost and we are considering alternatives.

Timeline development and tracking; connections across projects
Smartsheets made it much easier to collaborate and track work projects.

The Graphical grid interface is very easy to understand

Sometimes it needs to autocomplete more information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My executive director implemented Smartsheet Kanban Boards for our projects and it now far easier to assign, track and update projects. I was a complete nube in this area and mainly just used e-mails to track projects. this was a huge upgrade for our whole department.

We can use it for anything from a simple task list and event planning to complex project portfolios, agile sprints, CRM systems, inventory tracking, and budget management.

What do you dislike about the product?
New users may find the interface overwhelming, and in the absence of proper governance, sheets can rapidly become disorganized and overly complex, making them difficult to maintain. This complexity is further increased by Smartsheet's unique formula language, which is less intuitive than Excel's and results in a steeper learning curve for those looking to automate tasks.

Smartsheet primarily solves the problem of operational disconnection the chaos that arises when teams rely on static documents, siloed information, and manual communication. It replaces this fragmented system with a dynamic, connected platform for work execution. The benefit is a fundamental shift from reactive chaos to proactive control, saving significant time, reducing risk, and improving outcomes.

What do you like best about the product?
My company loves how easy Smartsheet makes it to stay organized and keep projects on track. The ability to collaborate with my team in real-time, automate repetitive tasks, and customize sheets to fit our workflow has been a huge time saver. It’s flexible, user-friendly, and keeps everyone aligned.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, especially for new users who aren’t familiar with spreadsheets. However, once you get the hang of it, the platform becomes very intuitive and powerful.

As a staffing company Smartsheet is helping us centralize project management, track progress in real time, and improve communication across our team. What do you like best about the product?
The ability to automate repetitive tasks, set up alerts, and collaborate in real-time has significantly improved our efficiency and transparency.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app experience also feels less intuitive and feature-rich compared to the desktop version. Lastly, permission management can be a bit tricky—granular control over who can view or edit specific parts of a sheet would be a welcome enhancement.

What do you like best about the product?
Attaching documents to the rows really helps with keeping track. I also enjoy building dashboards and the ease of showcasing data

The limitation on the number of lines. Some of my reporting involves a lot of data so I have to pull from excel and paste the overview data into Smartsheet. New outlook emails were not able to be attached, I stopped using new outlook so not sure if this is still an issue

Smartsheet has been a highly effective platform for consolidating information from multiple sources into a single, organized sheet—thanks to its intuitive forms and user-friendly tools
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is missing a lot of functionality in terms of working with mass amounts of data. There is definitely a lot of formulas and calculations that are much more difficult and require work arounds in order to achieve the same results as other platforms. Also the inability to download a sheet as a file onto your computer can be troublesome at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet forms has solved the problem of too many hands in the cookie jar. There have been times when too many people are involved in a project and mistakes have been made that affect other users data. By using forms, users can submit their data with out interfering with other users information.
