Smartsheet has streamlined our projects and increased visibility across all projects at a glance
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has helped to simplify how we manage and track multiple project data sets which is our main focus in what we do on a daily basis. It has allowed us to consolidate multiple excel files and projects into one centralised platform, making it easier to access and visualise information across multiple project files at the same time. The use of Dashboards has been especially helpful for providing real-time insights and improving data visibility. Additionally, the built-in forms have reduced our reliance on external tools like Snapforms, saving time and reducing manual data entry.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area that has been challenging is the row summary reporting. While summaries are useful and we need them a lot, the need to collapse sub-rows to view the amin summaries and the inability to print just the main row summaries without all the underlying data has been a point of frustration. This limitation makes it harder to share concise reports especially when working with large datasets. It's a small issue in the broader context, but one that has a huge impact on the data our team collects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Smartsheet, we were managing project data across multiple Excel files, which made it difficult to maintain consistency and track progress in a centralised location without doubling up on work input. Smartsheet has allowed us to centralise this information and improving visibility across multiple projects.
The use of forms has streamlined how we gather information, eliminating the need for separate tools like Snapforms and reducing manual data entry. This has saved time and improved data accuracy.
Overall, Smartsheet has supported better project oversight, simplified reporting, and enabled us to make more informed decisions by having real-time access to key data-all in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the automation part the most, set up reminder, including msg and document all in one please.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formulas. It works very differently than excel which make it harder to pick up. So a lot of time I would still chose excel that's I am more familiar with .

the automation and reminder feature is the best. Remove a lot of things that take up my mental spaces

Its easier to work with and i love the fact that my staff are finding it useful. It helps bridge commication in a way that has not been done before

Training on some of the advance features seem ambiguous. The training that ive seen only focus on the fundemental and not based on how we are using the platform

The mobile app has fewer capabilities compared to the desktop version, which limits flexibility on the go.
The least helpful about Smartsheet is Large or complex sheets may run slower, especially with heavy attachments or formulas.

Smartsheet helps solve the challenge of scattered communication by bringing project updates, files, and discussions into one centralized platform. This reduces confusion and keeps everyone aligned and It helps with accountability by assigning clear owners and deadlines to tasks, reducing missed deadlines and overlaps.

It's a fantastic platform to build forms to collect data from people, and allows the right level of customization and restriction to get a good sample

It does take a bit of time to learn how to get everything set up properly

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using Smartsheet for the ease of navigation and ability to access multiple sections of my company's resources on one website. Smartsheet allows me to navigate between areas as well as communicate with other colleagues easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time I do not have any complaints about Smartsheet.

Smartsheet allows me to easily communicate within my company and access several different forms and resources that are vital to my daily duties.
I don't like the copy/paste difference with SS and Excel

Instant updates/ collaboration, ease of use.

The copy paste.

Smartsheet is a game changer
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to share and collaborate with others, as well as the ability to set customizable alerts when updates are made.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see an option to create a shared calendar that shows specific assignments. Maybe that already exists, I just haven't found it yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to collaborative work in a sheet simultaneously has been a huge upside. It keeps information organized. The ability to incorporate into Microsoft Teams is also a huge benefit.
Makes my job easier
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy and intuitive Smartsheet is to use. I'm able to streamline several of my tasks using different Smartsheet functions.

There is a learning curve involved with getting started with Smartsheet.

Smartsheet helps me streamline my research administration pre-award tasks, including PIs sharing their grant ideas and getting started with the applications.
