Not special enough to warrant use over competitors
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and easy to use. Brand has potential.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adoption by our 3rd parties is low. Functionality can be replicated by major competitors which have sticker and more widely used ecosystems.

It tracks things and hosts files.

For the most part, tool works great! Just a few items for improvement.
What do you like best about the product?
* Ability to share the document over the web
* Ability to share the document with multiple users and assign different levels of security
* Ability to upload an excel sheet and convert it into smartsheet, and retain formulae from the excel sheet
* Ability to export the smartsheet into different
* I like the fact that Smartsheet is continuously staying up to date with latest technology by enhancing their integration capabilities.

What do you dislike about the product?
* First and foremost, help documentation is not very clear. I suggest improving it for making it more complete and detailed.
* We recently implemented SSO feature with OKTA. It doesn't work consistently. Some times, we have to go back to OKTA home page and launch the app.
* when more than one user is updating the smartsheet at the same, I occasionally ran into issues with losing some changes. this need to be improved.
* It would be great to have ability to format text with in a cell differently. For ex: some part of text in bold and red color while remaining stays default.

It removes need for maintaining multiple versions of the same document by different people.
Next Level of Project Managment
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet is accessible and updateable by everyone, very collaborative. updates easily and the learning curve was not bad at all. I was able to implement it into my team with minimal issues after years of using an outdated software. we us this to track every project. We have also integrated it into teams to keep employees up to date on timelines to ensure our projects are delivered on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see easier formulation and excel like functions. being able to reference other sheets within a cell easier would be nice.

Smartsheet is making Project Management more collaborative and is allowing me to delegate more of the responsibility

What do you like best about the product?
It has a very strong interface, or I guess sharing ability is what I should say.
What do you dislike about the product?
That you cannot utilize excel like functions. copy/paste drag/drop etc..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows my employer and therein myself the ability to access the same data as our clients do.
Very easy to use and it has everything a construction person needs!
What do you like best about the product?
That I can use it for all types of documents, if its a drawing to do a markup, or if its a contract I need to sign. I also like the markups and measurements tools. I had no need for previous training and never had any issued that required customer support. I use it on a daily basis and it's a pretty good tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
the highlight tool always gives me a hard time, but other then that I believe it's pretty easy to use. Another thing is that when I change to board mode, I cant set up alarms and notifications

I use it mostly to do markups on drawings to send it to designers. it benefits me because I dont need another software to do it ( typically Id need Autocad or Revit to be able to open the drawings and do the markups there)

It's easy to use, collaborative, and flexible.

Roll up reports are rigid in structure, so making changes (i.e., adding a field) requires going into each sheet to adjust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me track projects, plan dates, and conduct UAT easily.
Smartsheet: Powerful Features with ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Smartsheet is that it feels a lot like Excel, which me and my team are already very familiar with. That makes it really easy for me to explain to new users in my team how to use it. Another feature we love is the ability to work on it simultaneously without disturbing each other’s work. I also don’t have to constantly follow up with my team since I can set auto-reminders for when a task is due. It was very smooth implementing Smartsheet for a new client too, they found it easy to pick up. The integration with Excel is especially useful for us and saves a lot of time. Honestly, there’s not a single day we don’t end up using Smartsheet. And even if we do face a problem, my tech team resolves it quickly without any delay.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet does come with a high price tag, which makes it expensive for us. Learning automation in Smartsheet has also been a tough task for my team. Another limitation is that I can’t work on it without an internet connection, which can be inconvenient at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me keep all my tasks sorted, integrate smoothly with Excel, and send automatic reminders to my team so I don’t have to keep reminding them manually. Because of this, we’ve never missed a major deadline, and my clients have been really happy with that.
Efficient project tracking and collaboration tool for construction projects
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has become an essential part of our daily workflow at Dale Construction. I appreciate how easy it is to set up and customize sheets to match the way we run subcontracting projects. The ability to track tasks, budgets, schedules, and change orders in real time keeps our field crews, office staff, and clients on the same page. Dashboards and automated alerts help us quickly identify delays or issues so we can act before they impact deadlines. The interface is familiar for anyone used to spreadsheets but adds powerful features like forms, file attachments, and integrations with Outlook and Microsoft Teams, which reduce manual updates and improve communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet is powerful, it can feel heavy for smaller, quick-turn projects. Some advanced reporting features require a learning curve, and mobile performance can occasionally lag when working with very large sheets. Pricing can also add up when scaling to many users. These are relatively minor trade-offs compared to the productivity gains, but worth noting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet gives our construction team one central place to manage every phase of a job—from bid tracking and subcontractor scheduling to daily progress reports and close-out documentation. Before Smartsheet we juggled spreadsheets, emails, and paper forms, which led to missed updates and duplicated work. Now we can automate approvals, capture site photos, and track budgets in real time. This has reduced project delays, improved communication with clients and vendors, and saved many hours of administrative effort each week.
