Great for Team Organization and File Management, but Depends on Team Participation
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an excellent tool for organizing large groups and managing numerous image and video files in a single location. It helps our team stay organized and ensures that everyone involved remains accountable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only aspect I find frustrating is when some team members fail to do their part in keeping the team informed and up to date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple projects, maintaining organized information, and ensuring the team stays accountable are all aspects I appreciate.
Great Document Sharing and Branding, but Needs More Grid Features and Better Pricing
What do you like best about the product?
Shareability of documents and tools -- both internally and externally. I use mostly grids and forms, and both work very well. I also appreciate being able to add our own branding, which looks simple but nice (not too over-the-top like many tools out there).
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Grids had a few more options for formatting a la Microsoft Excel. I also wish that it was more affordable, so that my work wouldn't be moving other users off the platform (and making it less usable for me). It would be nice if training tools' locations were more obvious within the tool itself -- I'd probably be more likely to learn more about how to use its extensive features. I also wish attending its user conference was free -- it seems odd to pay to attend a vendor's event about how to use their tool (which would ultimately lead to them probably making more money off of us).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use a custom-built form to solicit required information from our external contributors. We also use Smartsheet to share information internally (e.g., lists of volunteers and their information). It benefits us because I like the searchability of Smartsheet -- if I've done something in Smartsheet, I know the search will help me turn it up. I CANNOT say the same about Microsoft tools / SharePoint, where files are often lost in the abyss.
Great for Project Tracking and Team Collaboration, Still Learning the Ropes
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that it can create a dashboard and help keep me on track with projects. The ability to collaborate with team members is also an important feature for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much knowledge about it yet, but I'm interested in learning more so that I can become proficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are reviewing an RFP, and we need to adhere to a strict timeline. This helps keep track of all the tasks that need to be completed.
Great tool to everyday working

It’s easy to use with a familiar layout and has helped with my data entry and seeing task progress.

Could be more cost effective and additional training could be utilised for more complex features

Great Automation and Project Management

Its a single place to keep KPI scorecards, KPI tracking, Project tracking, Issue management through the forms.
Versatile and Intuitive, but Formula Building Needs Simplifying
What do you like best about the product?
I truly love how versatile it is. It suits all of our information management needs and has become our one stop shop for multiple departments - it has really helped to provide support to all levels of experience and express it in a way that is creative yet intuitive
What do you dislike about the product?
The formula building can be a bit daunting to begin with. I would love it if there was a more simple formula building function as currently I tend to visit the community support section.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an organisation - we have gone through a huge amount of department and process changes, this has made information management really pivotal to how efficiently we can operate. We had a billion different folders on multiple platforms full of great resources - this was impossible to keep track of and relied on people passing on information to understand where it was all kept. This is now not the case - our entire department resources are kept in one WorkApp to make it easier for everyone to digest - from newbies up to top management who don't have time to filter through 15 folders and links. By also having the text sections, I can easily highlight new changes to documentation - this is not something that is easy to do on other platforms.
Great Organization and Helpful Dropdowns, but Issues with Data Loss and Dynamic View
What do you like best about the product?
The organization is great. The dropdowns are helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
If multiple people are on the same sheet at the same time sometimes data can be lost. Can't delete lines in dynamic view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking support staff resources.
Smartsheet has been a great resource for a 1 stop shop of information.
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been a great resource to help multiple users access information. Individuals within our company will gather all information for a job and upload into Smartsheet. From there, all active users can access this information when needed for reference. This has been very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet can be hard to grasp for those who are not tech savvy. Though, with a little bit of training this can be learned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all information accessible as been very helpful. If I was to be missing a document for a project, it is much easier to be able to pull from Smartsheet vs track down.
Visually Seamless with Great Customization
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how intuitive Smartsheet is, eliminating the need for extensive training. The ease of setting it up was a significant advantage for me. I enjoy the ability to add several subtasks under each category, which creates a seamless visual when sharing projects with other teams. The customizable options are plentiful, and the templates are both useful and visually appealing.

I find Smartsheet's cost too high for most companies to continue purchasing licenses.

Easy Collaboration for Project Management Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is straightforward to use and features an intuitive, user-friendly interface. I work with multiple sheets every day, and I appreciate being able to share them with both customers and coworkers while controlling their access permissions. This functionality helps me keep my projects on track and minimizes mistakes or the confusion that can come from too many people being involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to adjust the size of rows and columns, and I wish there were an option to do so more easily. Additionally, starting a new sheet from a blank template is not very straightforward for me. I find it much simpler to create a new sheet by duplicating an existing Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps keep all project details organized in one central location, making it easy for all stakeholders to access the information they need. This has been beneficial for me, as it allows others to find answers to their questions on their own, without having to contact me directly.
