User-Friendly, Versatile, and Cloud-Based—But Limited for Complex Sheets
What do you like best about the product?
i love that it's on the cloud and updates automatically + can be shared easily. the optics of Smartsheet are very user-friendly and sleek. It is nice to open it every day and get an overview of how things are progressing on a project. I enjoy how a sheet can be used in many versatile ways and add so many options. i haven't used all the features but i like knowing that there's a library of resources. There are a lot of answers available on smartsheets support. my favourite feature is how the formulas are explained and show you how to use them correctly. it is much neater and refined than a drive folder and you can integrate a lot of different file purposes and functions well. Overall the software is easy to pick up and can be easily implemented across a whole team.
What do you dislike about the product?
you can't make super complicated sheets on Smartsheet like you can on excel; for example, a financial costing sheet can be more challenging to build. the columns and rows can make things a bit restricted and have to think hard to find a creative way to build what i want on a sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As part of a large global team, we need to be able to access files and updates simultaneously, while flagging even the minutest of changes to certain team members. we also have a lot of inputs coming in every day which need to be managed and displayed clearly. Smartsheets is great for tracking multiple things that can be cumulatively and separately be displayed on a dashboard for specific outcomes. Creating this visual set up has been great for our team productivity and checks ins. also, the automation features save a lot of time and hassle! lastly, it is easy to use for our external clients as well.
Intuitive and Flexible—Smartsheet Makes Team Workflow Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
I myself am not a full user of Smartsheet, I am the IT Technician and only do user management (permissions, licenses, etc..). But from all feedback I've heard from my colleagues, it's a great tool that let's you easily keep track of tasks, pending orders.. you name the use you want to give this tool.
Also from what I hear, it's quite easy to use and also intuitive. It gives a few liberties that similar tools don't offer ;). Our team uses it everyday for their workflow with minimal assistance from me (IT GURU) because it just works.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far I don't have anything bad to say about the tool. Like I said in the in the 'like' section, it just works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's giving our users an easy way to keep track of purchasing orders, material tracking, non conformity requests management, among other things.

What do you like best about the product?
The seamless integration of dashboards and reports makes it easy to visualize data across teams. Its simplicity and intuitive interface reduce the learning curve for users, and administrative controls are clear and efficient for managing permissions and automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited integration with Microsoft 365 tools like Outlook and Teams makes it harder to fully align with our existing collaboration ecosystem. Enhanced native connectors or tighter synchronization with these tools would greatly improve workflow efficiency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps centralize project tracking, automate routine workflows, and improve visibility across departments. As an IT admin, it reduces time spent managing manual updates and provides better oversight of user access, data governance, and reporting. This leads to more consistent collaboration and faster decision-making across teams.
Great for Collaboration and Support, But Not Always Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
It is great to be able to work with a lot of people, and customer support is great when we need help. I use smartsheet every day and we have huge documents that are easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it is not always intuitive, sometimes I have to search how to do things in a document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remembering a lot of details and sorting information in team.
Well-Organized Data, Perfect for Large Projects, Easy to find data
What do you like best about the product?
The data is easy to find. it is disciplined and well organized. Additionally, it is convenient to bigger projects where demand is required. Similarly you can find everything in single page, its awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
The searching option is useless. For example, when you put CTRL + F, it begins to ask useless commands like type, location etc. it should immediately search to the present page like MS word does. Similarly it should only ask for permission one time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For example, i use this for my daily tasks. Its super fast and convenient. It is beneficiary when i have to search something. All is available in one page and you can search and find relevant data. The expanding command is super cool.
Handy Automation for Bookings, But Speed and Date Format Need Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The automation is really handy! We use this frequently for booking vehilce repairs and it advises our drivers the dates of bookings without needing to send reminders.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit slow! We are about to move the forms to a new sheet to see if that speeds things up. Also the date format changes to US date which can be confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bookings of vehicle maintenance and requests by drivers for work to be done without need to speak to the team directly
Great Project Management Tools, Occasionally Slow Connection
What do you like best about the product?
Friendly ecosystem including a lot of tools to manage projects and teams workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes slow connexion. Application on smartphone not available without added fees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Plan view for the teams, better visibility on tasks for everyone.
Easiest Project Management Tool I've Used

Ease of use compared to other Project Mgmt tools

Licensing across our organization being so light means extracting rather than sharing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets easy to use system allows me to manage projects of course but I've additionally begun using it for Work & Task Management which is a god send!

What do you like best about the product?
We have set up workflows and approvals for certain aspects required for our department, eliminating the need of sending e-mails and following up on outstanding items as the workflows generate prompts to follow up and list everything in a central easy to understand sheet/schedule.
It has also allowed us to set up team based schedules/sheets that several users can work with at the same time.
The smart sheets build in log files and line history also greatly assists us with our internal and external audit requirments.
We use it daily and smart sheets has standardized the way we process information and documents in the department and ensuring that items are followed up and resolved in set deadlines.

We would like to set up drop downs for certain fields utilized in standardizing how information is done and presented, but we are currently having issues with the data shuttles due to the volume of information we need to include on the drop downs.

Standardizing how we process the documents we require to collaborate on.
Setting up workflows to confirm correctness of information and approvals.
Ability to set up deadlines and tracing that task are completed, also logging dates when items are attended to so we can pick up turn around times, identifying where we are experiencing delays.

Great for Collaboration, But UI Feels Outdated and Some process are Clunky and Time Consuming
What do you like best about the product?
its a relatively easy, central way to collaborate with colleagues on worksheets, and fill in forms for processing
What do you dislike about the product?
manual save, clunky ui, outdated multi step processes to try to do most things. Having been used to using apple ios the ui and functionality seems unnecessarily difficult and clunky.
