Keeping me sane and organized
What do you like best about the product?
It is very intuitive and user friendly. You can easily customize it based on your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some instances wherein it does not refresh reports automatically and as expected. I need to put controls in place to make sure everything is in order.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
monitoring project progress and collaboration with a larger group
I have grown right along with Smartsheets!
What do you like best about the product?
I started at the beginning with a wholesale/resale business and used Smartsheet's to track Amazon returns with issues. We were able to create different detailed lists with attached pictures to help with returns and inventory control! Now we use the same aspects for a non-profit I work for. Being able to attach files and pictures is absolutely brilliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found any, I did try to convince my organization to use Smartsheets new capabilities with project management, but they went with a different company which is less user friendly and less capable, unfortunately. Smartsheets probably needs to up the game in sales and coordinated demos of functionality!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management that shows an approval process and all of the connected files associated with requests.
Wonderful for our payroll

We have multiple properties and it allows us to list them all out and the whole team to update and make notes so come payroll nothing is missed

There is nothing we dislike about smartsheet

its a common place for the team to add something we can all see

That it can be shared with colleagues and we can all work in the document.

Instead of me having to do several reports to send to different individuals, we can all access and edit the information.

the attatchments to Smart Sheet do not allow for editing and or copying

allows for mulitiple projects to be viewed in an easy, concise manner; with the ability to drill down to details on an as needed basis

A Great Overall Product for Program Management Tasks
What do you like best about the product?
The basic functions of Smartsheet are intuitive, so even new users with limited experience can create meaningful tools to aid in the project management process. The product allows you to start with a wide array of templates or from scratch, and the automation can be a massive time saver. Our business uses Smartsheet daily to help track our programs and ensure collaboration and transparency across work groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is expensive, and its pricing model means you must pay extra for features other PM software tools include. It also requires you to maintain a certain number of seats to utilize the business plan. Most of the product's support is provided through the community, and it can be difficult to interact with their actual support. There is also room for improvement on the automation side. The system is complex to replicate across sheets or work groups, and the basic functionality leaves something to be desired.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping our team with collaboration, transparency, and program management. The main benefit is that it provides a common operating picture across the organization and allows us to easily track tasks and automate routine work.
Nothing short of exceptional
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, ability to have mulitple sheets interact with each other, ability to have help from other community members in forums for help with formulas, unlimited used of space for sheets/dashboards/reports, and the customer service and how the account managers are willing to help when ever it is needed.
This is used across our whole company, with ever supervisor. The ability for them to access the information in real time, any time, is what we were looking for in the company. The abliity to implement the dashboards into meetings, or sent out via email, cuts out the middle man of putting information into excel to send out.

What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of spam emails that gets sent out could be trimmed down a little. The licensing is a little expensive. I would like to have 10 or so people on a license, however the price is not feasable for a lot of companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows me to send information out to all employees within minutes. The ablitiy for them to access the dashboards as needed helps them receive the information they need in real time, and any time. Via mobile or via computer.
Unsure the true benefit of smartsheets over excel
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating formulas to calculate information between columns. Costumer support was great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not find it very user friendly. For sheets with lots of columns, it's hard to navigate. I also did not like that if multiple people were working in the sheet at once, information wasn't saved from all accounts.
