Streamlines Event Planning
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is how much it streamlines my event planning and tracking. The templates are incredibly helpful because they introduce me to features and capabilities I might not discover on my own. The dashboards give me an at‑a‑glance view of what’s on track, what’s behind, and how my events are performing — without having to crunch numbers or build extra presentations. And the different views let me work from a single sheet while switching between Gantt, calendar, and table formats, which saves me time and keeps everything organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Smartsheet is the learning curve. It’s easy to use at a basic level, but really taking advantage of all its capabilities requires more guidance than what’s currently available. I’d love to see more in‑depth training videos, and for the templates to include not just instructions on how to use them, but also step‑by‑step directions on how to build those templates from scratch. That would help me understand the full functionality instead of relying on prebuilt setups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves several problems for me in my event planning and tracking work. It gives me one centralized place to manage everything while still letting me switch between different views — Gantt, calendar, and table — without creating separate sheets. That flexibility saves me time and keeps my planning more organized.
The templates also solve the problem of not knowing every feature Smartsheet offers. They introduce me to tools and capabilities I might not discover on my own, which helps me build stronger, more efficient workflows.

Occasional bugs and delays in real-time updates,, changes aren’t always reflected instantly and sometimes require a manual refresh, unlike more seamless collaboration in Microsoft Excel...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It streamlines processes by automating workflows and reducing manual follow-ups, which saves time and improves efficiency. It also centralizes information in one place, making tracking, collaboration, and updates more organized. The platform’s flexibility and range of features allow us to adapt it to different use cases, which improves overall productivity when using Smartsheet.
Stellar Organization, But Too Many Views and a Cluttered Interface
What do you like best about the product?
The organization is stellar. That said, some of the kinks in the functionality—like having to save and refresh to get the most up-to-date statuses—are a pain.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many different avenues to view things, and it ends up feeling overwhelming. There are too many folders and too many different locations to access the same information. A more streamlined, less busy interface would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and organization are much easier with this tool, especially because I can mark project deadlines and keep track of the active status of each task. It’s been helpful for time management. I also like being able to message or comment directly on a task and keep stakeholders updated.

Great for Team Collaboration, but Pricing Changes Disrupted Our Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helped us get organized and work collaboratively as a team. It became our one-stop shop for our project management and work processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
We HATE that Smartsheet changed the business model. We are not able to upgrade packages, so some of our workflows have had to move outside of Smartsheet to keep them going, while others have been able to stay (depending on the individuals working in that sheet). This has caused us to have different work in different places, and that goes against the reason we switched to Smartsheet in the first place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was helping us get more work in one place, making a visible space for everyone to know where a project was. It helped have one place for tagging others and collaborating in real-time. Formulas have helped us with data and dashboards to view historical data more cleanly.
Easy, Modular Automations That Cut Down Admin Work
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use and how modular it is. I’m able to create automations that run on their own, which helps cut down on admin work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app version tends to crash a lot causing periodic delays

It is creating workflows based on specific team member needs. Able to create profiles and dashboards to suit different departments needs rather that pigeon holing everyone to the same reports

It helps me organize my work and stay on track.

I don’t have any dislikes about this product; I love it.

Intuitive Project Management with Minor Limitations
What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet as a project coordinator for engineering projects. I love the ease of use and good interface. The drag and drop feature is especially simple and intuitive, allowing me to move project cards from one column to another effortlessly. Being able to upload files to the card is also great as it allows us to share updates with clients quickly and seamlessly. The ability to sort many jobs into columns based on their current status helps me keep everything organized and makes it easy to determine what steps need to be taken next.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I do not have a full license, the inability to create rules and scripts limits me. Also, the horizontal scroll bar disappears often when Smartsheet is loaded (on Chrome, Windows 11).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me organize projects by sorting them into status columns. It makes it easy to see next steps, and features like drag and drop and file attachments on project cards simplify updates and client communications.
Great for Collaboration and Change Tracking, but Needs More Text Formatting

I would like to see some more micro capibilities (i.e the ability to highlight specific text inside each cell)

Clean Look, Powerful Reporting, and Flexible Parent-Child Lines
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to run reports across multiple sheets, add attachments to each line, and use parent and child lines. I also appreciate the ability to convert column formulas and the cleaner overall look.
What do you dislike about the product?
Harder to understand how to run dashboards and some limitations where you have to use an outside platform like power BI. formulas are different and a bit unclear or harder to find a solution for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet enables centralized tracking for our team, allowing us to manage and update information in real time. This improves visibility, reduces manual back-and-forth, and ensures everyone is working from the most current data.
