Productivity Boost w Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet handles large amounts of data seamlessly in a way that allows for easily collaborating within our company and with our clients. It is easy to integrate our clients to the tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheets can be a little rigid and it takes longer to set up sometimes than say excel. However, once set up it is more stable than excel for some of the things we do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of our client facing tools were no longer functional using excel. Smartsheet allows us to build customer facing tools that are robust. It has also been great for managing projects that require customer imput.
Lots of good functions to Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I like the range of functionality. You can track projects, you can drag and drop documents into it. It has very good search function. I love the reminder, ability to set various people on it and have it email.
What do you dislike about the product?
For what we use it for i think its good. I'm not sure at a larger scale if it would work as well.

User friendly and can be easily convert to other file formats
What do you like best about the product?
I tried many project management software before. They are either difficult to read for big projects or can't importe other file format. The layout of SmarSheet is more friendly and well reading. I can easily import a schedule created by our vendors and combine them as part of my own schedule. Also, it can track the budget which is a plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using budget column, I need to type the numbers one by one. If Smartsheet can read the information in other files (such as Excel), it will be more efficient.

Smartsheet captures the timeline of our project. I use it to track deliverables from my consultant.

1. ease of use - intuitive interface - thoughtful UI layout

3. Sensible design, but not complex - doesn't require a degree in IT to use it very effectively

Need more Forms elements to create even more solutions using Forms

The largest benefit is providing a common ground for project execution between disparate, and sometimes opposing, company departments
It's Easy To Use
What do you like best about the product?
It's a good alternative to excel sheets when an entire team will be contributing to one sheet. You're also able to access the smartsheets via API. That's expands the different use cases for smartsheets. It makes it a very flexible tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The row limit per sheet feels too small.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's good for when you have a big team that needs a central place to upload data. Withthe application being web based, is more convenient than setting up a shared folder location on the company server for everyone to save the same excel file to.
Perfect for New Learners
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is user friendly enough for beginners, yet has enough features for experienced users. I particularly like the automation to reduce the burden.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet requires manual saving of data, although it gives a prompt to save every 10 minutes. Some of the formulas are complex and could be automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Smartsheet in helping small biotech companies becuase it is a nice balance of structure and flexibility. I also use it in a course to introduce students to project management concepts and tools.
