A whole lot of possibilities with a big room for improvements
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use - Smartsheet is a best tool for people new into programming. Without any coding knowledge you can do a lot of things that are impossible in tools like google sheet. Ease of implementation - To do basic workflows in Smartsheet you only need to know english and take few hours time for trainings.
Frequency of use - I use it a lot for many different reasons. Holiday tracker with google calendar connector, Feeding DOMO with KPI data, Tracker for material creation, timelines, project management. Basically most of the time in work I'm using smartsheet.

What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to create advanced workflows in Smartsheet you need a lot of time to learn. Right now even after 3 years I don't think I learned every trick here. The difference is that Smartsheet is limitated in many ways, for example you can't actually write a macro here, you have limited amount of rows per file (google sheet or excel has a lot more). Creating dashboards and KPI's is also not so user friendly since since to create a chart that you want you need a backup file with "countif" formulas, which is not required in Google Studio or excel.
Customer Support is fast and if possible helpful yet in most of the times they are also hopeless for some questions like fe. exporting via DataShuttle from smartsheet to googlesheet with a googleSheet format.
Ease of integration is also a key point here since you actually cannot make workflow "copy workflow" for only few of the columns from the file. To do so you need to create 3 different datashuttles and is more a trick then a functionality.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It automates the tracking of data creation for new materials and automatically contacting people for update requests and many more.
It's making work faster and easier. It also helped me learn basics of programming and understand how the code should be written. Now learning python is gonna be easier than before.
Smartsheet is also going to be connected to another SAP tool we have and will check if data is fullfilled if not then will contact people to maintain the data immidiately based on deadlines that excludes weekends and bank holidays per country. I highly recommend working with Smartsheet but it's the tool that is still missing a few basic cappabilities which supposed to be there from the very beggining of the tool.

The automations and that it's easy to use between different areas of work like finance, OPS & Sales.
Also very good that Forms are easy to intergrate into the sheet.

Maybe that the reports don't make it easy to use filter system, it then requires me to make another report. I don't really like this.

Using Smartsheet on a daily basis for a number of different uses - Dashboards, Sheets, Reports - and all are extremely useful and beneficial to what I want to achieve.
My Smartsheet dashboard is one of the first items to open when I login. From there, almost everything I do revolves around Smartsheet.
The whole interface is extremely easy to use and can be very pleasant on the eye.
The recent addition of AI assistance to generate a formula is a great help.

From creating my own dashboard, Smartsheet allows me to view all relevant statistics within the one easy to view page.

Smartsheet requires an internet connection, there is not offline version; Learning Curve for beginners could be slow; The mobile version lacks functionality.

Smartsheets allows me to easily share work across multiple department including working with exterior clients.

Cost per administrative user is slightly higher than other platforms

Smartsheet changed everything for my office
What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly Smartsheet is. Anyone can learn how to use it and then can build on their skills. The automations and alerts are my favorite. Since Smartsheet we've been able to automate data from one step of onboarding to the next without back and forth emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the formulas. Smartsheet helps you write formulas which is great but as a proficient excel user, they frustrate me. The formulas are more complicated than excel. For example, referencing another sheet requires many extra steps where as in excel you can just click on a cell in another tab.

Smartsheet is automating our onboarding process. It has cut back in emails and time spent processing data.

I like how we can assign tasks to team members and track tasks in the same sheet with notes.

It can take a little extra work to enable our external team who may not be a member of Smartsheet into our workflow.

Smartsheet helps us to keep track of who's responsible for specific tasks in a project. It allows the project leader to track accountability and division of work among the team.
Easy and simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
We use smartsheet to track staff workloads and produces project programmes. it has been simple to use and effective solution for what we wanted needed. Staff using smartsheet have been able to pick it up and understand the use of it quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major has stood out so far during my experience. some small user interface issues have popped up. doing something is not as intuitive as it could be
