Mostly as a Smartsheet Admin looking for a good backup solution for the application.
What do you like best about the product?
Has lots of templates/workapps to help get new users started. There's also a good amount of content online and at Smartsheet to help with learning.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had a good experience with customer support. They have been extremely slow to respond to issues that appear to be fairly common and simple.
The deficiencies in the API where it applies to being able to backup dashboards, reports and formulas. This has been on their roadmap to implement for over 2 years and still not progress.

Using it to help us manage resource allocations, project status updates, and product evaluations.
My go-to project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
I’m in SmartSheet everyday and couldn’t function anywhere near as efficiently without it. The sheets, reports, and dashboards are easy to customize and allow my team and our stakeholders to know what’s going on in our various global projects without needing to ask me. The reports especially have been crucial in helping me track what’s coming down the pipeline and plan out realistic timelines for new projects. I also leverage reports to manage workloads across the various individuals and teams I work with, which helps me ensure I’m not overscheduling resources. Additionally, I appreciate the fact that not everyone needs a full license to view a sheet or report.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more options for permissions. While you can assign general permissions to a sheet, it would be great if you could assign them based on task ownership. On my projects, I tend to just give out Viewer permissions because I don’t want the structure of the sheet impacted or other things changed. I’d like to give people the ability to update the status and completion percentage of tasks assigned to them without full Editor permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping me and my team complete multiple, global projects that cross over several different teams. These projects overlap and some run multiple years. Smartsheet has been the best tool I've used for managing and planning the projects and scheduling resources.
Easy to maneuver Smartsheets
What do you like best about the product?
I like that they are is to work with and have filters that make it easy to find what you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see that SS sync more efficiently. There are times where it lags.

It allows us easy access to information we use on a day to day basis.
Great tool to keep track of projects
What do you like best about the product?
I work in marketing and membership, and Smartsheet makes my life a lot easier especially to stay organized and keep track of ongoing projects. I recommend!
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is powerful but has a learning curve, especially for non-tech users like me. Some features feel unintuitive, also I think integrations could be smoother.

Smartsheet helps streamline project management, and improve team collaboration. It keeps our marketing and membership projects organized.
Smartsheet has been fairly intuitive and easy to use on a daily basis.

This software is intuitive and easy to pick up the nuances of use, including data entry, adding new entry points and categories, and editing what has already been saved.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitations of linking with other software I use has been a little burdensome, but nothing that would dissuade use of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are utilizing this software for both project and portfolio management, where the time savings are instrumental. Prior to implementing Smartsheet, we were utilizing dozens of spreadsheets to track projects and individual milestones. Now all this information is entered, viewed, and edited in one place, with reminders going to pertinent employees with approaching deadlines.
We implemented in one department and have now expanded use in 4 more departments in over a year
What do you like best about the product?
The useful collection of data has decreased the number of hard paper records.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's pretty difficult initially to become familiar with. I would have liked an interactive course to learn how to use the tools of the systems capacity so I know in and out how to make the correct edits instead of always having to articulate what we want changed or tweaked and wait on someone else to make the changes.

Tracking workflow of each technician which is increasing productivity & accountability of each individual.
We have more accurate records of work performed that can easily be searched if needed.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet helps me keep my projects organized and easy to find each one.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly nothing at the moment it runs smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping my co-workers aware of when there are updates to the project.
Fast and Easy to use for high level project management
What do you like best about the product?
It's fast. I've tried Asana, Monday, Jira, and their interfaces are very slow. With Smartsheet I'm able to quickly input tasks and dates and set dependencies easily. The spreadsheet type input makes it easy to brainstorm with the rest of my team (or even with clients in Excel) and just paste into Smartsheet. It's our standard tool for Gantts and we use it often.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit difficult to link all sheets to get a high level overview. Sometimes I have to individually update the resource management for each sheet. The menu options change between Grid and Gantt, so it adds extra clicks. 10,000 feet would be great, but it's an expensive add on, same with the Jira add-on. The Gantt view zoom settings are not quite as flexible.

Gantting mainly. It also helps map out resourcing by using some formulas.
Awesome platform for building schedules
What do you like best about the product?
Automation for scheduling. It makes it easy to make a change to the schedule and move all the other dates in the future move as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I havent used it for everything but for my schedules it is a little tricky to learn at first.

It is making scheduling a lot easier.
A versatile project management tool (with some limitations)! Solid choice.
What do you like best about the product?
Really great for collaborative tasks/ team-based work. Highly customizable sheets with useful & versatile tools (like forms and checklists). I really like the project tracking features, which have clear visibility into progress. The workflow automation for streamlining tasks is a nice feature too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited data manipulation capabilities. Lacks complex calculations and formulas beyond basic functions. I hate to compare this to Excel, since its purpose is different, but I wish it was more suited for advanced data analysis. Also, the interface isn't as intuitive as other tools I've tried; new users may face a learning curve.
