The Ability to Build Malleable Systems
What do you like best about the product?
For me personally, I enjoy the versatile nature of Smartsheets. I have used it in many companies that had initially used more complex, expensive, and rigid systems that ultimately caused more problems than they solved. Smartsheet ended up replacing those systems as it put the power back in the compainies hands.
What do you dislike about the product?
The apps are very expensive and not reasonbly priced compared to other spreadsheet applications. Simple feature like pivot and calendar should be apart of the base model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data management, client management, removing chances for human error with automation.

What do you like best about the product?
Helps put everything in one place. We have many projects that require different teams and members, so to have everyone collaborate in one place is great for us. It helps streamline objectives and tasks and means we don't spend as much time chasing up and missing deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could look better. I like the calendar look of it but not so much the Excel sheet type, but I guess that is necessary. I know you can change the look of it, but the calendar one falls short technically, as you cannot put approvals on there, or move projects in a timeline sense. It would be better if it was just updated to look more modern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to collaborate with teams easily and proactively, meaning we don't spend much time chasing. We're able to prioritise tasks pretty easily and ensure the right people are seeing what's going on, also placing responsibility on certain people too. It benefits the business because we now have a space where every event and task is visible to the Marketing employees and with email reminders on deadlines, nobody has an excuse to miss their deadline.
Smarsheet has been pretty helpful to use to work with teams because it always updates in real-time.
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to see my co-workers real time edits was very helpful. We didn't have to hop on a call to make changes, we could just see each other's at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The formulas aren't the best. I'd love to have an option to import Excel formulas, or something of the such.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was too hard to keep sending Excel files to my colleagues, as a lot of them are across the nation. Having real time edits with my co-workers makes work much easier with much less hassle. It's also nice to login to Smartsheet anywhere in the world and have my files, even if I don't have my work computer.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is incredibly adaptable to all different types of projects. I love their online hub where people can post questions and receive answers from Smartsheet or other users. Anytime I am stuck it is usually easy to do a quick search and find the answer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that some of their add ons were free instead of extra subscriptions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having one place where multiple sources can access and collaborate. Smartsheet has extra functionality which something like google sheets does not.

What do you like best about the product?
It has great potential. Does a lot of great things.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are a small company and I only need 1 license so I bought that package, but a lot of features are locked behind upgraded packages with more licenses. I reached out to customer support to see if there was another option and never heard back from anyone. I am not renewing.

I wanted to help with master planning.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it is customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The page can "disconnect" a few times during the day and sometimes you will loose the time stamps that you had saved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to keep a clear track of the time we are allotting to the clients work. It also centralizes all the mini tasks you do throughout the day and you need to keep an eye on.

Cloudbased, easy to use, great place for basic data

SS really needs tabs within sheets like excel

! stop shopping for registration and enrolment of courses, forms are helpful too.
Thoughtful in the way we work but needs improvements
What do you like best about the product?
Dynamic Views, Reports, Dashboards are easy to make/use. I also like how they can all work together to create an easy workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The capacity is too small. It's easy to get over the limit, especially for more complex builds that require multiple helper columns. The Dynamic View builds don't have a "Make a Copy" option; instead you have to create a whole new Dynamic View from scratch.

Documenting work tasks to completion.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides structured project tracking with Gantt charts, Kanban boards, and Calendar views.
Smartsheet is a great resource for project management and organizing of any kind
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very easy to use, the collaborative features are great. We are able to be very creative with Smartsheet, building dashboards off of the project plan data negating most of the effort required to build a weekly status report. The flexibility of the tabs is excellent because it allows us to track every component of a project within one workbook - calendar plans, task lists, milestones, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not anything that I can think of. It is a great product with flexibility and usability.

Project planning - easy to keep project tasks up to date
