Essential for Streamlined Construction Management
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Smartsheet for its automation features, which allow me to set intuitive rules that help report activities efficiently. This feature is particularly beneficial in my lean setup, as it pings the right stakeholders when certain conditions are met, ensuring smooth operations without an ornate software stack. The ability to track overall activity on a sheet, as well as activities per cell, is extremely valuable for maintaining oversight. Additionally, I really appreciate the ease with which I can prepare Gantt charts for waterfall project schedules. This functionality makes controlling dependencies much more straightforward, especially when compared to alternatives like Microsoft Project or Primavera. Smartsheet integrates seamlessly with tools such as Outlook, Windows, Bluebeam PDF, and Excel, which enhances its utility in my project management tasks. Finally, the availability of templates makes the initial setup moderately easy, allowing for a quick and convenient start.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love the recent modernization of the Smartsheet UX. It feels like it's lost functionality, and having to relearn where everything is has been a disturbance. Although the previous interface was dated, I had become comfortable with it over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet to centralize my project portfolio, track task status, and maintain project schedules, allowing me to view both the overall picture and project specifics. Automation features notify stakeholders efficiently, enhancing project management in a streamlined manner.

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Smartsheet is how it enables every user to collaborate on a project effortlessly, thanks to its user-friendly interface. Additionally, the visually appealing reports and dashboards make updating data and tracking progress much less time-consuming.

To fully take advantage of Smartsheet's features, users currently need to go through some complex steps. I believe the experience would be much better if Smartsheet could simplify the process, making it easier for users to make modifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the challenges Smartsheet addresses for me is the repeated task of generating progress reports for my team about my projects. With Smartsheet, I can set up live dashboards that deliver real-time updates, allowing my team to access reports whenever they need. This means I can concentrate more on the important aspects of the project, rather than spending time on manual reporting.

I love how Smartsheet aligns project timelines across departments, which is crucial for maintaining cohesion in team-based projects. I especially like the Gantt chart view, as it works visually as the quickest way to understand where we are on a project timeline, making it easy to track progress and manage time effectively. I appreciate that when I change the date for one item, it automatically adjusts the timeline for the whole project, saving me a considerable amount of time and ensuring accuracy across projects. The overall setup of Smartsheet was fairly easy, which minimizes the initial hurdles of getting started. I find these features significantly enhance productivity and facilitate efficient project management, which is why I'd highly recommend this tool to others, evidenced by my perfect recommendation score of 10.

I find the login process could be improved. It keeps asking me to use my old email.

Perfect for Daily Work but Sometimes Slow
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Smartsheet works and appreciate how fast it is, which allows me to perform my tasks efficiently. It is perfect for its purpose and I have not encountered any significant issues that negatively impact my experience. Additionally, I give it a high recommendation because I consider it an outstanding product.

Easy Dashboard Creation and Sharing. However its Pricey and the dashboards are not very broad.

It helps me to easily and readily create a data set and some dashboards to present to other colleagues. This allows them to interact with it without the possibility for them to wrongly update the file.

Flexibility, extremely useful for making project schedules. Convenient access options with different levels of access for all Project team and some other relevant personnel

There are some minor issues with transferring from and to MS Project. Some functionality is missing compares to MS Project

Furthermore, I find Smartsheet visually functional, which enhances my day-to-day workflow. The initial setup was straightforward, making it hassle-free to integrate into my tasks. Overall, these features provide a satisfying and efficient experience, and I would rate my likelihood of recommending Smartsheet a strong 9 out of 10.

It's very flexible and you can mould it as much as you want
