Easy Project Management with Great Features
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use and great for tracking projects, automating tasks, and working with teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet can be tricky for new users, and the mobile experience could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps organize projects, track tasks and automate workflows.
Good for automated notifications.

Automated notifications without invest in a macro as an excel file for example is an advantage.

Interface between sheets is complicated, is limited only to the Smartsheet tools.

Smartsheet send automated notifications accordingly the set up.
Easy-to-use powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the huge supply of templates, particularly those that are packaged with dashboards, etc set up. It's easy to use. Every time I introduce someone to Smartsheet, they're impressed that it's much more than project management software; I've created CRMs, training trackers, and more with it. As a PM I absolutely love the easy update requests feature - it allows even the most low-tech user to update the status of their task with no manual entry required from me.
What do you dislike about the product?
As more features are added, it becomes more complex. I've been finding the help feature / community board less helpful lately and rely totally on ChatGPT when I'm having an issue. I think AI is a big opportunity for you to integrate directly into Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborative tool to help track tasks within our project. I'm also using it as a CRM to track investor prospects and how much investment received / forecast which is incredibly helpful. From a PM perspective, my favourite feature is the ability to set update requests - cuts down massively on my workload.

What do you dislike about the product?
- User interface of Card View and Grid View aren't very customizable
- Can't make comments on individual cells in Grid View, only rows
- Can't customize checkboxes past current options in Grid View
- Can't reorder subtasks in Card View
- Have to get a code every time to log in now, and it takes forever to get the code

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project timelines so that we can keep track of what's being done by who, what's being held up and why, what's completed, what's not, approved documents, meeting notes, etc.
I believe Smartsheet is a great tool for the purpose of my business.
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to edit a specific row. I also like being able to transfer rows easily from workspace to another. I have not needed to contact support, but do appreciate email updates on tools in Smartsheet.

When filling out 30-40 different columns, navigating horizontally can sometimes be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing me to manage many different accounts/ proposals that are outgoing. I am able to send accepted accounts directly to another workspace where I am able to continue tracking until invoice complete. I am also able to attach colleagues who are a part of the specific account. We are also able to track how much money each service is being charged for which is helpful.

Being able to grant certain permissions by user.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was always an Excel user so I am used to that software, but I have not found any downsides to Smartsheets yet.

it is allowing me to permit permissions to the users I choose. This limits errors and mistakes.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is user-friendly, easy to share with team members and update. I have also learned how to use the automated workflow and create surveys which is much easier and cleaner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing is that it doesn't automatically save the document you are working on so you have to make sure you are saving constantly.

What do you like best about the product?
Makes creating project plans and providing updates through the dashboard very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their multi-factor authentication is not enforced and up until recently it was only available at their most expensive tier. It's hard to copy and paste and there's not much help for calculations like you would use in excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business uses an antiquated project management tool which is good for portfolio updates, but not conducive to creating and executing project plans. My project managers use smartsheet and the analysts that support them use it to provide updates so the PM's don't have to chase them down.

Learning curve for advanced features - While the basics are easy to grasp, advanced features (like formulas) require some training.
Pricing - It can be expensive for smaller teams, as key features are locked behind higher-tier plans.

As a freelance/small business creative, managing multiple projects, clients, and deadlines can quickly become overwhelming. Smartsheet helps solve these challenges by providing an intuitive, flexible platform that keeps everything organized and improves efficiency.
User friendly automated features are impressive!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can set it up like a spreadsheet since that is the format I'm most familiar with and then with the click of a link change to other formats. I love the automated features of filling out forms, email alerts, form set ups. I also love that when you want to try and do something new there are so many free tutorials on You Tube to figure it out. The dashboards are nice but not really important for our purposes. I also think it is reasonably priced. I also love that you can export and import with other applications such as excel. I also love the mobile app that allows me 24/7 access to my data whenever I need to refer to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even through you can set up multiple sheets and have them interact with each other, it did take some getting used to them not being in the same work book like excel where you have multiple pages within the same file. I've also had some issues with my automations not working at different times with no changes in the setup. It stopped working for a while then all of a sudden started working again and I did not receive adequate assistance with trying to figure this out. It was all online and via emails with links to trouble shooting. I would have preferred speaking to someone once the online and email tips did not work to trouble shoot until the issue was resolved. On this one, I tried all their trouble shooting online to no avail but it just started working again on it's own after a couple of weeks. That piece was out of commission for about a month.

It's assisting with getting more complete data from our clients AND automating reporting based on their input which reduces the time for us to manually compile all the data and format it.
