Good but limited as the tool may require some integration to Linear.
What do you like best about the product?
The integration when you can have several sheets aligned to each other.

There are tools that cannot integrate with Smartsheet (like Linear).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Timelines and project plan views. Helps with gantt chart, and project plan creation with timelines.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been an invaluable tool for our company. It provides quick access to all the information we need, bringing a new level of organization and efficiency to our operations. Once you get the hang of using Smartsheet, the improvement in communication across teams becomes immediately clear. It's something we rely on every day. Over the past five years, we've continuously fine-tuned our reports and sheets, and Smartsheet has now become fully integrated into all aspects of our business. Whenever I have questions, their tech and customer support teams have been extremely helpful. Overall, it's been a fantastic addition to our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a lot that we dislike but some of the design changes can be a bit annoying. We do not like that the search bar has changed, it used to be in the upper right of the screen and it would clear itself. We also don't like that when you go to change your font size the "font size" text box hovers over the 8 and you can't pick it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
before smartsheet communication was more difficult. Now anyone can update and we all know what stage a job is at.

Super easy to comprehend, built-in features that help seamlessly include additional information or other resources.

Relying on others to manage spreadsheets.

Aligning enterprise data between multiple departments, business entities, etc.
Easy to use for complex planning
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use for complex planning. Easy to visualize, as well as make adjustments when changes are required.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish color style customization was a bit easier to access/maintain consistency. Feels very manual at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping to plan complex project timelines that have changing priorities and many phases of work.
Simplifying project management for Higher Ed
What do you like best about the product?
I would say the ease of use is my #1. We've recently rolled out Smartsheet access to various business units across the UNE ecosystem, and we have had very few cases where folks needed additional assistance to access the sheets, dashboards, and reports that they need. It was very easy to get it implemented, and is something that we use in ITS on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more come down the product roadmap specifically in the area of reporting. The dashboards currently available are good, but I think they could be improved. Looking for KPI's that can provide early alerts, and it may be something that I just need additional training on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining processes, especially our intake processes for new project requests and ITS application security reviews. Also making information readily available to all stakeholders in a one-stop-shop sort of format.

User-friendly task and project management tool with automation and workflow features.

Requires training for full utilization, especially for automation and formulas.

Teams use scattered tools (Excel, email, chat apps), leading to inefficiency.

I dislike that filters are specific to the users, not the sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping to simplify workflows that were previously redundant.
Great for program management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes production planning and work sequencing very easy with their Gantt chart features. I like that I can access my work from any computer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The spreadsheet features are not great for writing formulas or doing calculations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me write sensible production schedules and informed timelines.
Easy to use; Effective for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly and intuitive. Multiple users can work in a Smartsheet document at the same time, and the comment function makes it easier for collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
While many features & layout are very similar to Excel, some functions aren't as easy as Excel spreadsheet such as trying to select and move a data set or to copy & insert as a new row.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing the team to track project status and sign off on each task effectively.
Our company uses this tool widely and it is easy to use, intuitive and robust

I like the clean and simple look of it and that it integrates with the tools we use
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing personally. Some of our users also use Monday.com and state that Smartsheet isn't able to use the same integrations and workflows that Monday.com can.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting multiple people into a central location with a simple format. It makes it really easy to collaborate and invite other users to a sheet to get up an running with a project quickly.
