Smartsheet is a time saver!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is easy to use and keep things updated & organized. Many staff can collaborate on the project. I like that you can sort many different ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not a way to revert back to an older version or reinstate a line you deleted prviously (from earlier versions). There may be a way but I am not aware of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps me from having multiple versions of a project.
Smartsheet: Powerful, Flexible, and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
We primarily used Smartsheet for managing internal request forms such as PTO submissions, office supply orders, and job board posting approvals. The platform made it easy to standardize our processes and ensure that all requests were tracked and routed to the right people efficiently. The form builder is user-friendly, and having everything centralized in one place improved visibility and accountability across the team. While it's not a full-scale HR or procurement system, it served our needs well for organizing and automating routine administrative workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
We primarily used Smartsheet to manage internal request forms, including PTO submissions, office supply orders, and job board postings. It was an effective way to streamline and centralize these processes, giving our team better visibility and accountability. The platform is intuitive and reliable, with many features we only scratched the surface of due to time constraints. There were few downsides overall—Smartsheet served its purpose well and proved to be a valuable tool for organizing and simplifying our internal workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helped us solve the problem of scattered and manual request tracking by centralizing all our internal forms in one platform. One key benefit was the ability to automate our PTO request process—employees could submit a request via a form, and once approved, it would automatically populate on our shared calendar. This saved time, reduced miscommunication, and ensured everyone had visibility into scheduled time off. The automation and integration features made routine admin tasks much more efficient.
Great tool for running projects
What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility of Smartsheet when running my projects. It allows multiple participants to access the same project plan, and I can connect other sheets to it. Participants can write feedback or add attachments. Additionally, the forms work very well for users who are not technology savvy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formulas are not easy to master in Smartsheet. Although I use MS Excel formulas often, I find them difficult to master in Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project collaboration is central to keeping my projects on time. Smartsheet is an effective way for me to keep all stakeholders in sync on communication.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of the Smartsheet, you can create a lot of the specifics columns according your needs. Also, you can use the filters to let you vizualization more easy and help to use the tracking our tasks in the daily meeting. You can use the Kanban or board for this, or use also the time line to view a way summarized. Furthermore, the possibility to create forms, reports and dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss of the resource management, for use this options is need to pay more and purchase another licence. In dashboard I miss of the interation, dynamic filters for example. Another function I miss is not have a way to create a pivot table.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Today in Nidec GA, a lot of users (project manager) not are using the smartsheet to create yours schedule and even not track your task. The most of the time, the team have a lot of the spreadsheets scattered. Smartsheet is help to standardize and keep the control of the project in a unique place, avoid the missinformation and likely delayes in the projects.
Very usefull tool but does have limitations
What do you like best about the product?
Can help present information into more usable formats and allow Smartsheet’s to be linked into another Smartsheet so you can make a dash board to show high level overview and use that to access multiple other sheets were the data is stored / edited. This allows for quick overview of data / project updates and easy access to data when it needs to be updated
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limitation within Smartsheet – Smartsheet act much like MS excel when it come to data and formula, but it doesn’t have the full range of functionality as MS excel. This can cause problems when trying to do complex functions within Smartsheet and some times requires an alternate approach to be used. There is a number of online resources and forms that can be very usefully in these situations

Tracking of project time lines and tracking updates to end clients – used as a tool in daily meetings to review project status and updates to end clients – this ten allows us to revaluate schedule and resources adjustments based on current progress
A tool that truly improved our team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes it easy to manage complex projects and collaborate with team members in real time. I particularly appreciate the flexibility to switch between views (grid, Gantt, calendar), the ability to automate workflows, and the way it integrates with other tools like Microsoft Teams and Google Workspace. It’s a great solution for tracking progress, assigning tasks, and ensuring transparency across departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
While powerful, Smartsheet can feel overwhelming at first, especially for users unfamiliar with project management tools. Some features require a bit of a learning curve, and the UI, although functional, could be more intuitive. Also, some advanced functions (like automation or dashboards) are limited to higher-tier plans, which might not be ideal for smaller teams.

Smartsheet helps us centralize project planning, task tracking, and communication in one place. Before, we relied on scattered spreadsheets and email threads, which led to miscommunication and missed deadlines. Now, we have real-time visibility into project statuses, clear ownership of tasks, and automated reminders that keep everything on track. It has improved accountability and significantly reduced the time spent on manual updates and status meetings.
Easy to start using for excel users and then challenging to come up with creative work arounds
What do you like best about the product?
The templates are useful as a starting point and with some of the same basic formulas in excel you can make great use of it in other forms beside a project management tool. Online sharing with users makes it easy to collaborate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see some more of the advanced excel functions made available. how to link sheets together to get a working data set is challenging and some of the work arounds i need to come up with overcomplicate formulas and make it challenging to actually get the data sets correct.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online publishing and sharing content is made easier and is a huge benefit.
Beneficial for Certain Projects
What do you like best about the product?
I think Smartsheet is great for timelines or simple spreadsheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it's great for very complex spreadsheets that contain a lot of information and have many stakeholders involved.

It his helping to hold people accountable for their assigned tasks.
Smartsheet for General Contractor
What do you like best about the product?
I use smartsheet for communicating complex material procurement information, tracking completion items, and sometimes easy scheduling. It is very intuitive. I would say I use smartsheet as one of my big 3 (procore, bluebeam and smartsheet) are open daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is intimidating to people, they are worried they will mess up a spreadsheet i made. not sure how to fix that honestly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
coordinate complex spreadsheets, collaborate issues logs, and create comprehensive quick schedules.
