SmartSheet has changed my life
What do you like best about the product?
It assists us with managing our requests, we use it for all departments now.
What do you dislike about the product?
We can't send an email to it to populate rows.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is how effectively it streamlines our automated approval processes. Once it’s set up properly, it can be relied on to function consistently and accurately, which builds trust across the team. Our in-house staff who are well-trained in using Smartsheet have always expressed high levels of satisfaction with the product. Even those team members who only interact with the approval process and don’t use any other features find the parts that face them intuitive and easy to use. It’s a platform we depend on daily, and it plays a central role in our workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find most challenging about Smartsheet is the steep learning curve when you're not deeply familiar with its full capabilities. After exploring its features, I’ve come to realise there’s a lot I’m not currently using, which can feel overwhelming. I inherited a Smartsheet-based process from someone else, and understanding how it was set up required a lot of trial and error and “poking around” in the back end to make sense of it.
In our organisation, no one person owns Smartsheet as their dedicated responsibility, so we don’t have an in-house expert to rely on. Instead, we tend to figure things out as we go. While my team has found the Smartsheet training modules useful for learning specific tasks, I think the overall experience would be improved with more accessible, in-product guidance—especially for those trying to manage or adjust existing systems without a lot of background knowledge.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is helping us manage a complex, multi-layered approvals process across our organisation of 240 staff. With so many people and layers of responsibility involved, coordinating approvals used to be time-consuming and prone to delays. Smartsheet’s automated approval workflows have streamlined this significantly. It ensures that requests are directed to the right people in the right order, and that nothing gets lost or overlooked. This has improved both the efficiency and reliability of our internal processes, saving time and reducing administrative overhead.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can have multiple collaborators on this smart sheet, each can make their own comments, add notes and it’s easy to track the progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
It looks very similar to Excel, but there is a lot of functionality that isn’t the same so it takes some time to get used to

it streamline the communication. We have multiple collaborators on a project and none of us are in the same office. This allows us to update in real time and see the progress of each individual.

Smartsheet offers many options and is incredibly customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The muted colors and bland excel format are too dull for my personal taste.

We juggle a number of projects at our company and being able to collaborate easily is where Smartsheet really helps.
Great Gantt Chart Software
What do you like best about the product?
I like its ease of use. It is intuitive and it is not too hard to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can do quite a bit with it and that is not super straight forward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Procore and we are able to download the schedule in xml in order to upload it to the Procore schedule.
Smartsheet - not really smart
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to link it to PowerBI for reporting

Very limited function, not as versatile as Microsoft Excel.

I am pretty sure most of the function can be found in 365 suit
Game Changer
What do you like best about the product?
I love how collaborative it is all in one spot. Vs sharing a Microsoft office tool with someone where you may have to actively share each individual page. It can also do so much more than Microsoft tools on their own and do it in an esthetically pleasing way.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a new tool for many people I work with compared to the Microsoft Office Suite. Because of this, there is sometimes resistance to using it. Also, one of my customers can no longer even access it because it is blocked by their company's IT (a very large company).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love the automation feature. I'm able to get updates from multiple sources and then automatically send out a report without having to think about it. This is a time saver and helps to keep everyone accountable.
Its a very good tool with room for improvement for the cost

That its a SAAS and everybody can have access and also the automation part

That some times the delay to enter the tool its quite long, and also an update on the license cost made very difficult to stay working with the tool

Flexible, Cross-Functional Powerhouse (Even for Non-Numbers People)
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is like Excel on steroids. As someone who isn’t naturally drawn to numbers, I’ve found Smartsheet surprisingly intuitive and incredibly powerful. It brings structure to our workflows in a way that Excel never could. All of our departments use it now, from operations to finance to marketing. Personally, I’ve seen it shine in marketing - it's great for planning and managing social media campaigns, content calendars, and team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is that Smartsheet doesn’t support some advanced financial formulas like IRR. For teams working with investment analysis or development finance, this means we still need to rely on Excel for certain tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us organise our work across departments with real-time collaboration, automation, and transparency. It keeps everything - from day-to-day task management to long-term planning - in one place. It’s especially useful in a remote work environment where visibility and accountability are key.
A Powerhouse of a Tool
What do you like best about the product?
My whole team uses Smartsheet for work, and it's one of the main tools that have helped us achieve a "Work Smarter, not Harder" mindset. It helps us cut down hours of work with its automations and its connectivity. The comment and tagging system works wonders and helps us quickly send updates to members in a large team (+60 users).
The dashboards are an excellent way to collect information from different sheets and show everything on a single page, for easy access and reporting to upper management.
We've changed the way we work several times in the company, and Smartshee's flexibility has continued to amaze us. It is one of those tools we definitely couldn't work without.

What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I dislike about Smartsheet; if anything, having too many options sometimes bogs you down and makes it so that I'm not sure what the best one is for what I'm trying to do, but I think having options is always better than a lack of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet to reach out and send assignments to all vendors, as well as track quality metrics, deliveries, resource and asset management, etc.
