Very easy to use be it for everyday tasks or working with various teams to collaborate across the same company or with others outside our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have noticed on recent projects that the ability to be able to give necessary access to change fields to show project status is requiring someone to be admin on some sheets and not others. Its a learning curve I am still trying to understand.

Smartsheet has helped with inventory and project management

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The endless possibilities are great. Smartsheet is capable of much more than we are able to currently utilize. I also like the smartsheet university which offers a wide range of self paced training courses.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing structure is probably the only thing I would like to see different.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently using it to keep track of inventory across multiple sites in different states. We have been able to save significant money by moving inventory from one site to another instead of ordering new right away.

Good collaborative tool for project management

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The core SmartSheets feature is a good collaborative tool we can use with our customers. It is easy to use and clear. Customers rarely have issue understanding and onboarding onto the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Resource Management aspect of SmartSheet is very poor. The time entry is super basic, the resource allocations is basic and the whole system is very rigid, you are not able to make customisations as easily as you should be able to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration on projects, allowing clients to submit changes and feedback without going through email. Audit of all changes and history

It might be better

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the fact that you can share spreadsheets and reports and link data. The interface is very clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think removing folders from the main Smartsheet page is a mistake. I have created a lot of sheets that I don't share in Wordspaces, they are only mine, and I can't organize them thematically. It's a huge loss.

I often use reports and I miss the ability to format data and change the colors of baselines in the gantt view.

A fantastic addition would be to add Polish language.

When removing a user from the user list, the administrator should be informed in some way which notifications this person was indicated in, so that they can manually change or update them immediately. The option "remove from all notifications" would also be useful.

When adding a new user, it should be possible to share sheets that another person has access to in bulk. On the principle: grant the same access that user X has.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows me to plan work on individual projects and control deadlines. Automatic notifications and conditional formatting are great. The ability to send attachments, which are also sent in emails, makes work much easier.

A Powerful and User-Friendly Work Management Platform

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Smartsheet regularly for project planning and reporting, and it has quickly become an indispensable part of my workflow. As someone who manages multiple projects, I appreciate how Smartsheet combines the familiar layout of a spreadsheet with the power and flexibility of advanced project management tools.

What sets Smartsheet apart is its ability to bring real-time collaboration to the forefront. Our team can plan, track progress, and share updates seamlessly, no matter where we're working from. The platform's automation features save us time on repetitive tasks, and the reporting tools provide clear, actionable insights that help keep everything on track.

Smartsheet is intuitive to use, yet robust enough to handle complex project timelines, dependencies, and resource management. The ability to customize dashboards, integrate with other tools, and visualize data in different formats (like Gantt charts, calendars, and card views) makes it adaptable to a wide range of needs.

Whether you're managing a small team or overseeing enterprise-level projects, Smartsheet delivers a reliable and efficient way to stay organised and aligned. I genuinely enjoy working in it and would recommend it to any team looking to boost productivity and visibility across their work.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area where I’ve encountered some frustration is with the Smartsheet connector—it occasionally breaks or doesn’t work as expected. This can be annoying, especially when relying on seamless data integration across platforms. While it's not a major issue, it's definitely something to be aware of if connectors are a key part of your workflow.

Overall, I genuinely enjoy working in Smartsheet and would recommend it to any team looking to boost productivity, visibility, and collaboration across their projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Disorganized Project Management
Problem: Teams struggle to track tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities across scattered tools like email, spreadsheets, and meetings.
Smartsheet’s Solution: Provides a centralized, cloud-based platform to manage tasks, timelines, dependencies, and milestones—all in real time.

2. Lack of Real-Time Collaboration
Problem: Team members work in silos, leading to delays, miscommunication, and duplicated efforts.
Smartsheet’s Solution: Enables real-time collaboration with shared sheets, comments, notifications, and update requests, so everyone stays on the same page.

3. Limited Visibility into Work Status
Problem: Managers have little visibility into project health, risks, or progress without manually collecting updates.
Smartsheet’s Solution: Offers dashboards, reports, and automated update tracking to give decision-makers live insights into project status.

Great at flagging and prioritising tasks

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For me personally and for the role that I have the most helpful thing about smartsheet can offer is being able to automate sheets and flag dates and whatever you basically need to be prioritise. Automation and flagging really did help me with my product retesting schedule where the automation flags due to expire dates for me in another report. Great stuff, so much help in seeing what I need to test based on a date, clear view. This is being used on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I dislike about smartsheets is when I sent a specific made report for someone but unfortunately they only have editable view rather than a licence it won't let them filter by themselves. I need to do that beforehand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to use excel for my product retesting schedule but it took ages to figure out what is due to expire soon and what products are to be sent for testing because there was no way to automate the sheet to flag dates. With smartsheet I was able to do this. I have created an automation which flags dates 3 months before it's due to expire so I have time to test the product before testing cert expires.
