Smartsheet - Easy to Use, Scale, & Deploy
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet allows for seamless inter-departmental collaboration and easy visualization of project status in real-time. It is accessible for new and experienced users alike, and is used daily within our organization. The ability to add in files and reference key items quickly helps to reduce confusion across stakeholder groups, with dashboard features and integrations regularly leveraged to keep employees on track. Smartsheet has been easy to implement across our organization, and is used in all areas of the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations with formatting, sheet size, and calculations that otherwise are present in tools such as Microsoft Excel that are not available in Smartsheet. For users transitioning from the Microsoft suite of tools, there are a few growing pains that need to be overcome before someone becomes comfortable with Smartsheet, Aside from that, there is a lag in input visibility on sheets between users accessing the same sheet. This can be a source of frustration and may be an area for Smartsheet to target moving forward so that it matches similar software (e.g. Google Forms/Google Sheets).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us to increase productivity and enhance collaboration between stakeholder groups. We use it to assist with project management, day to day operational forecasting, financial management, and a plethora of other user-cases that are unique to our business as it serves the transportation and logistics space. We find that it helps to reduce lag in communication, and that it provides a single source of truth when it comes to data visibility between groups.
Team collaboration, workflows and data management
What do you like best about the product?
My company uses Smartsheet to house useful information from fuel pricing to IT requests to tracking progress on c-store conversions. There really is no limit on the number of ways Smartsheet can help. You can create workflow and automations to save yourself from all the follow up emails. It holds all the information in one place for our whole corporation to access and you get real time updates across all departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes getting formulas or workflows to work properly you have to create a lot of helper columns or sheets. Which can be confusing when you first start using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has been saving us hundreds of emails going out on a daily basis; by using update requests and workflows it drastically cuts the time it takes to update all the data needed to run our company. We also have multiple dashboards that house important company information, so all corporate employees have access to the data necessary to keep our operations operational.

Smartsheet stands out for its user-friendly interface, quick setup, and reliable customer support. It’s used frequently across teams, offers a wide range of features, and integrates easily with other tools—making it a powerful and efficient platform for collaboration and project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I have no major issues with Smartsheet. It’s been reliable and effective for my needs. If I had to mention something, perhaps a slight learning curve for new users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For NOA, Smartsheet provides the protection we need while offering the versatility to allow multiple external consultants to access and collaborate on data safely and securely.

the organization Smartsheet brings to my scattered brain is unmatched.

There is no dark mode which is preferrable to light mode

Streamline Galore
What do you like best about the product?
I love that capabilities of making internal processes more streamlined and efficient while simultaneously documenting important information to make informed business decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do miss the free feature for view only rights.

Smartsheet has been super crucial in planning ahead for jobs, and being able to stay on a consistent flow of work without tasks sliding.
The "Smart Sheet"
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to collaborate with other users in real time using this. Notifications can be sent to everyone on the "shared" list when changes have been made. It's pretty easy to use although I'm sure there a lot more things it can do that I don't know about.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times I wish a sheet could include more than one, like excel you can have more than one tab in the workbook. I haven't figured out how to do that, if it is possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows multiple people access to each sheet at the same time and notifies those it is shared with when changes are made.
Smartsheet is a tool for Collaboration with External Organizations
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Smartsheet for a while now, and overall, it's been a solid tool for managing and tracking projects. I really like how easy it is to collaborate with my team—being able to assign tasks, leave comments, and see updates in real time makes staying organized a lot simpler. The different views, like Gantt and card view, are also super helpful depending on the type of project we're working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that can be frustrating. There aren’t a lot of keyboard shortcuts, which slows things down if you're used to working quickly in Excel or Google Sheets. Also, formatting can be pretty time-consuming, especially when you're working with large datasets. Copying and pasting bigger amounts of data doesn’t always work as smoothly as I'd like, and it often requires extra cleanup. Despite those issues, it's still a useful platform if you're managing complex projects and need a centralized space for your team.

Smartsheet is solving a few key problems for me, especially around project visibility, collaboration, and workflow automation. Great for data syncing
What do you like best about the product?
I use smartsheets in collaboration with skypad. it's helpful to not have to send files back and forth and the data is automatically sent to skypad for upload when we update the smartsheets

sometimes there are delays with the auto processing and updates arent reflected as quickly as we need them

Resolves issues with human delays answering emails and files needing to be manually uploaded. instead, smartsheet is used to automatically send updates. this cuts out time with waiting for email responses and manual upload.

update the status of complex project keeping tracks of a large quantity of tasks from different users, allowing them to directly update their logs. these eases the advancement monitoring
Solid and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
It has the options you would expect and doesn't make things more complicated than it has to be. Clearly some thought has been put into collaborative design for remote workers and reviewing work together. Easy to share sheets between colleagues and keep track on previous tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing too significant. Maybe the auto save function could be enabled quicker? Once or twice I've clicked out of a page and it didn't save things, but that's also my fault for not checking that I had saved.

Keeping all tasks in one place with updates of how it's going, keeping a log of previous projects and keeping teammates updated on where those projects are at
