Advanced tool for complex data sharing and management
What do you like best about the product?
It's the best tool I've found so far for project management - allow us to embed rich media and information in 1 place and create complex project management templates with dependencies and the timeline updates automatically without manual update on each individual tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI/UX can be improved so it's more user-friendly and less intimidating for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Advanced project management tool integrating spreadsheets format with rich media & information embedded directly into one template so it's clean, organized and easy to access additional information.
Optimizing Data and Project Visibility with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is how seamlessly it blends structure with flexibility. It provides the familiarity of a spreadsheet, but with added capabilities for managing tasks, timelines, and team coordination. Features like automated reminders, change tracking, and customizable dashboards make it an effective tool for staying organized and maintaining accountability. It's especially helpful for cross-functional teams where each member may work differently but still requires shared visibility and daily updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I find challenging about Smartsheet is that it can become overwhelming for new users. While the platform is powerful, there’s a learning curve when setting up more advanced features like formulas, automation, or cross-sheet references. Additionally, performance can slow down slightly when working with very large sheets containing thousands of rows. More real-time collaboration features—similar to those in Google Sheets—would also be a welcome improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps solve the challenge of managing and tracking multiple projects, teams, and updates in a centralized and structured way. Before using Smartsheet, consolidating data from different sources, keeping track of status updates, and maintaining version control was time-consuming and error-prone.
Now, with Smartsheet, I can automate repetitive tasks, set up alerts for status changes, and provide real-time visibility to stakeholders through dashboards and reports. It also reduces dependency on manual follow-ups by allowing teams to update their progress directly, which saves significant time and improves data accuracy.
Overall, it's improved reporting efficiency, streamlined communication across departments, and made it easier to manage large volumes of project-related information in a consistent format.

Very useful and customizable for our team
What do you like best about the product?
I loved that it was cloud-based, has a mobile app, and easy to maneuver around most pages and sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile-app had limited features, and sometimes when you had a large amount of data, it wasn't as easy to maneuver or jump in and out of sheets. The loading would take a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resident management at various homeless shelters. Having a one-stop site that we could use as a dashboard to see details of census, age breakdown, etc.

Best In Class for Mixed Requirements and Utility for Our Company
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ability for truly collaborative use and feature sets to streamline data manipulation into almost any way you want your data presented. I also love how we are able to export to other spreadsheet formats for use of data outside of the tool or offline use. I also enjoyed use of integration with JIRA to read sheets and generate tickets on a scheduled basis. Customer support when needed was very helpful and calls with a professional service person. Throughout our org we seemed to have used many different features and frequently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like how it was difficult to create forms for customers etc to fill out that would convert to a smartsheet with the responses. Standard forms we use for sales, onboarding was able at one point with great assistance to generate one but to do that myself was either just not being knowledgeable enough or limits of that as a highlighted feature you can use easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to use it to track integrated use with our JIRA ticketing system to solve a problem of how to generate scheduled tickets with prefilled fields. It has saved a tremendous amount of time having a collaborative set of data points for reference and constantly changing data. It has allowed us to perform project management and manage work load easily.
Smartsheets help develop workflows and delegate tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I like that instead of delegating tasks one at a time I can set up a workflow to delegate the tasks automatically, but receive the notification of the request for review.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little bit slow to save and integrate. I would love to know as well if there will be an AI tool integrate to help assist users in making more complex sheets faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed me to delegate tasks efficiently and monitor tasks requested by the admin team. I also create workflows for our company that I don't directly monitor, but allows a number of tasks to be improved. It allows us to create workflows and systems that people can follow and a database. For example when we offboard an employee the necessary people are notified and we have a record of employees who have left. I use Smartsheets everyday.
Great for keeping track of assignments with the team
What do you like best about the product?
It is great for keeping track of assignments with the team and individual things I'm tracking for keeping track of historical data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. I've been very happy with it.

It helps the team know what proposals are happening, coordinating time off with deadlines and tracking for the future.
Great for construction project management.

Our company uses this portal to enter invoicing for collaboration across many departments. I also like using the scheduling software.

I am still learning some of the features within SmartSheet.

Flexible and efficient, but admin-only features slow things down
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature is the automation and notification tools. Automated reminders, approval workflows, and update requests save a lot of time and reduce the need for constant manual follow-up. Smartsheet also helps to keep everyone aligned and accountable by making project progress visible and transparent.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main drawbacks of Smartsheet is that certain key features are restricted to admin users. For example, only admins can send Update Requests or edit column names, which limits flexibility for regular users. In collaborative teams where multiple members need to manage and adjust content dynamically, these restrictions can create bottlenecks and slow down the workflow. It would be helpful if more granular permissions could be set for trusted users to allow smoother project management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Smartsheet primarily to track change history clearly and to receive automated reminders about important events and deadlines. It helps us stay organized, maintain transparency in task updates, and ensure that no key milestones are missed.
Smartsheet is a great software that allows multiple projects to be shared and edited by many.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to communicate with others on project status at any time. To be able to review past projects and use that info for future ones.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes at this time, after using for a while, it becomes very easy to use.

Helps with cash flow to allow better future budgeting.
