Good candidate to substitute to MS project

Similarities with other products in the sector in a web based app.

Flexibility is good, and its similarity to Excel helps a lot. The yellow, red and green traffic light system is handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app version is not very good, it is hard to add or change tasks. I prefer something more fluid and visual.

Before: Users submitted requests via email or informal chats, which led to disorganization, lost messages, and inconsistent tracking.
Now: With Smartsheet forms, all requests are submitted in a structured, standardized format and logged instantly in a central sheet. This reduces confusion and ensures no request is missed.
Lack of Central Visibility
Before: There was no single source of truth for open, in-progress, or closed requests, making it difficult to monitor team workload and request status.
Now: The master Smartsheet acts as a centralized dashboard, offering real-time visibility into all requests and their statuses. Filters and reports make it easy to prioritize and allocate resources.
Inefficient Communication with Requesters
Before: Users had to follow up manually for updates. Team members had to juggle communication in multiple threads.

I always enjoyed Smartsheet to manage my projects. I don’t like the recent changes in the policies.

I like the flexibility and the chances to adapt SS to your needs.

I don’t like the customer care and the recent issues with the desktop app. Nobody could manage to solve it.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has way better capabilities for visuals than Excel. Our company utilizes that function everyday since we require art to be reviewed before it can be printed on apparel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The data mesh is a little confusing. There are no warnings that you cannot have multiple persons have a data mesh work together or else it will just switch back and forth between data sets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very good at viewing jpgs. Way better than excel at copy and pasting images.

The cost was the only thing that made us leave. Sad to.

Makes Every Process Efficient
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can connect various types of data with supporting documentation all in one place with Smartsheet. It's also extremely user friendly, and it has streamlined so many different processes for me. I use it every single day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I can't easily move attachments to new sheets. For example if two sheets have similar data pulled at different dates, I want to combine attachments when the same name is found in both sheets.

It's solving an organizational issue as I have been able to consolidate processes and files into one large integrated system using various sheets, reports, and dashboards.
