Good for collaboration, a bit hard for the admins

Simplicity, collaboration and quickness of usage
What do you dislike about the product?
Capacity management is horrible. There is no dynamic calendar view like MS Project's team's calendar, which could provide an easy way to shift the tasks to resolve overallocations.
Copying flows across the projects is horrible.
Automatically changing the duration with the change in start/end dates is tricky

Keeping a track of all items that are completed from among all the planned ones.
Secondly, collaborating with multiple stakeholders on various tasks is beneficial.

What do you like best about the product?
The automated workflows bringing a level of automation in an integrated environment across the communication stack (Teams and Slack)
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't share at a folder level, no form level content validation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to take an agile approach in prototyping and testing business processes and workflows before maturing them, we also use it to run our PMO business unit end-to-end.

It is easy to use and user-friendly. It provides the chance to track project and document-related advancement status.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not easy to customise and does not integrate well with other apps.

Tracking Project Status.
Adaptability is excellent but lacking in scalability
What do you like best about the product?
I still believe Smartsheet is a great product. Yes, it takes a while to learn because you can do so much, but out of the gate, the basics will feel very familiar with products you may have used before, like Excel or MS Project.
The short-term investment in learning will pay off for the flexibility of the tool, unlike Asana or Monday, where you start off faster but then hit major limitations if you need a true Project Management Tool.
The design is seeing major updates as is the options to integrate with other platforms, Smartsheet will set you up for success.

What do you dislike about the product?
In terms of scaling at a larger scale, more work is needed to allow for a less manual update method. I know changes have been implemented for some of Smartsheets wider portfolio Products, such as DataShuttle and DataMesh, but having more of this scaled automatically will really drive further engagement,
The major downside of Smartsheet are its Support functions. It seems no real investment or development happens there, meaning you can feel left on your own when you encounter actual issues. The first line of support is just not cutting it and needs a major overhaul.

Overall, the full cycle of Project Management from the Intake of data, to the running of your projects. I love how adaptable the tool is and how easy real-time reporting becomes.

The current licensing model and the fact that there is only a complex interface to Microsoft, which in turn causes licensing costs.

Smart Excel Sheet
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Smartsheet fosters a collaborative environment and if you create the right workflow, is the source of truth for many companies. I like that you can see the entry history, leave comments, images, files, etc. It uses all the same formulas as excel and more advanced forms than microsoft. I also appreciate that we can always transfer ownership of sheets easier than an excel document. I keep a tab open all day to access the company info.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides of using smartsheets are that it's another program you'd have to log into, need a paid subscription (at least one user does), etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Other than storing much of the company/organization info, I found that the Smartsheet forms are more advance in their if/then prompts than Microsoft Forms. I also found that Microsoft forms has restrictions that Smartsheet doesn't (i.e. multiple selection for drop-down menu values). It helps us have more efficient workflow.

Smartsheet has a wide range of functionalities and use. Automation rules that can be set up are quite useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The overall UX could be improved. The current user experience and design are quite dated compared to other software applications. Also, the user training materials could be improved. Smartsheet has so many functionalities but are left unexplored by some users.
The resource management is a good tool however, the time investment for the initial set up is quite high and sometimes, could discourage its use.

When the project is complex and large enough, smartsheet is quite useful. However, each project manager also has multiple small projects. Smartsheet can be quite time-consuming and inappropriate to use.

I like the cross functionality that SS brings to teams all over the world. It updates easily in real time and is such an asset when organizing for both internal and external team.

I don't receive notifications all the time from SS and I wish i did.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets keeps my team extremely organized and it is easy to use for our various projects. Deadlines are kept in tact because Smartsheets helps us to track and delegate assignments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not many dislikes but I tend to use the same template/layout time and time again, so having a better understanding of the other templates and how I could use them.

We are able to keep track of every step of a process for our projects and easily assign them to various team members.
