What do you like best about the product?
As an EPMO solution, Smartsheet offers a powerful blend of flexibility, scalability, and user-friendliness that makes it highly effective for managing portfolios, programs, and projects across an enterprise.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of Visibility Across Projects and Portfolios
Problem: Without centralized visibility, it’s difficult for EPMOs to track project progress, risks, and resource utilization across multiple teams and initiatives.
Smartsheet Solution: Provides real-time dashboards, consolidated reports, and portfolio views that aggregate project data in one place.
Benefit: Enables leadership to make informed, timely decisions and align projects with strategic objectives easily.

Great replacement for Google Sheet
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet transforms the spreadsheet style interface by adding a layer of coordination with different apps and teams. The software makes creation of Gantt chart so easy that it doesn't feel like a management tool anymore. Resource management, real-time collaboration, automation, everything can happen in one single platform
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is robust, but I think the interface can be slightly daunting for new users, when one is setting up complex workflows or creating new dashboards, then it would take a learning curve, plus the flexibility can be improved in terms of visual customization, like changing axis names along with colors. The costing also goes up for some features, it can also be worked upon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The first and foremost is setting up and managing complex projects and keeping centralized information updated in real-time for multiple teams, helps with tracking progress and deadlines. There were multiple spreadsheets and email threads that we used to use/ maintain before implementing Smartsheet. Older solution had multiple hiccups and caused project delays as well, but with Smartsheet we don't have to spend manual effort for daily reporting, and they also give leadership team detailed view in one go, which has made collaboration super simple and without errors.
Make work life easier, track progress, collaborate with other teams. It's just an amazing tool

I love that you can automate projects and make life easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features form excel could be implemented to make it even better.

Collaboration with other teams, Automation in project plan, gives you more time for other things. Organization, helps you to organize big projects.
Smartsheet Enhancements
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud based can access anywhere, tracks projects in a centralized way. Automates tasks like reminders approvals alerts. Collet data thought custom forms. Dashboard view. Using advanced capabilities to enhance the project management like data mesh data links, bridge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deletion is painlful cannot just select and delete all workspaces, similarly for giving access I cannot select all and give access for workspaces or few sheets need to do it one by one. Dashboard cannot handle complex charts and cannot combine two charts into a one like power bI or tableau. Performance drops when we have larger data set in sheets it becomes slow and sheets have limited rows it gets full. Limited conditional formatting rules. If need to create complex solutions not a direct path need to create n number of helper sheets and columns to have a correct chart displayed in dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our whole Project Management system is on smartsheet and mostly it has solved a lot of problems for us.

What do you like best about the product?
it's an easy to use collaboration tool, and it's been useful especially when collaborating projects across teams internally and externally.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's been difficult to manage sheets that have been abandoned by users who have left the organization, especially when users later down the track want to have access to the sheet and edit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easy to share across teams and works well as a project management tool
Smartsheets for Business
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheets has the ability to be able to be used somewhat as an API, we have lots of integrations at our workplace which looks at areas of some smartsheets that allows us to pull information quickly. These integrations are to things like Zendesk, New Relic and Grafana which we use on a almost hourly basis everyday to actively monitor parts of the business.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of using Smartsheets is the same as using another tool like Excel, you need to be aware of what exactly your intending to use it for. If your looking for an enhanced version of Excel that is cloud accessible to hold some information or track progress thats great! However if you looking to store vasts amount of data and record tracking like for instance a data set of records or something, then this falls short just like excel compared to a database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Smartsheets to hold a data set of all our assets that we deploy in the field, this is benefiting us as its a cheaper and argueably easier alternative to creating and maintaining a database.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the capability to publish and communicate specific rows to other members in my organization, that way I can share only relevant data in a sheet without using email.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web tool is not intuitive, sometimes hard to locate tasks (would want it more "office like")

There are many capabilities and possibilities, but they are challenging to understand and implement.

Good software with a lot of capabilities but hard to switch from Excel to SmartSheets
What do you like best about the product?
Forms which can be generated are really helpful when linking them to a website and backtracking to a database.
What do you dislike about the product?
some functionality is not intuitive and there are not a lot of helpful resources to find solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can be HIPPA compliant so it is helpful for us to create forms on there and distribute to the patient and also have us be able to download it.
