There is nothing I can think of that I dislike about Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of our guys likes Smartsheet and he set up various sheets for us to use for things like documenting what was worked on each day, tracking when team members are off on PTO, reading values from various data sources and displaying the information in graphs and charts.

Perfect for College and High School Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Our office uses Smartsheet extensively to manage and share information between our college and our partnering high school sites. We use it daily to coordinate course information, scheduling, and updates for multiple high schools, and it has quickly become an essential tool for our team.
One of the features we appreciate most is how seamless and efficient the sharing is, and how easy it was to integrate Smartsheet into our daily operations. Setting up our sheets and dashboards was straightforward, and it required minimal training for both our team and our high school partners to get up to speed. The intuitive layout made the transition simple, and the built-in tools fit right into our existing workflows.
We especially value how Smartsheet keeps everyone on the same page in real time. Whenever we update a course section, instructor information, or schedule, our high school contacts see it immediately—no need for constant emails or version confusion. This live visibility saves us countless hours and helps maintain clear communication with our sites.
Another big plus is the excellent customer support. Any time we’ve had a question or needed help customizing a sheet or automation, the Smartsheet support team has been responsive and knowledgeable, making it easy to resolve issues quickly.

One of the main drawbacks is that some very basic features, like creating and sharing filters, require a paid license for each user. In our setting, we often have multiple staff and site contacts who need to filter data in different ways, and it would be much more efficient if they could do this freely without needing individual licenses. This limitation can make collaboration slightly less smooth, since not everyone has the same ability to customize views or share filtered information easily.
Additionally, we’ve noticed that sheets containing large amounts of student tracking data often take a long time to load or refresh. When multiple people are working on the same sheet at the same time, this can further slow down loading and saving, which can be frustrating during busy times when quick updates are needed.
Overall, we love Smartsheet for its core functionality, but we wish that simple features like filters were more accessible to all collaborators without extra licensing, and that large, shared sheets performed faster when handling high volumes of data and multiple simultaneous users.

Efficient software for project tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Quick row updates and multiple users' collaborations
What do you dislike about the product?
Sorting features and a lack of resources for the training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily/Weekly reminder for the task updates. Cross-linked functionality with proprietary software. Some of the Smartsheet forms, which we were able to link with the existing tracker format, eliminated the need for separate files and manual tracking. By implementing Smartsheet forms, as soon as the client fills out the online request form, all the information is automatically transferred to the tracker. This has significantly reduced manual work, and everything is now automated.

What do you like best about the product?
the ability to link data across Smartsheet's, summarize, and feed into dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
If I am collecting information in a smartsheet that is quite long and covers different areas that I don't need to see at once, the only way that I can condense it is to create the dropdown. But when multiple users are accessing and leave the dropdown open, there is a ton of scrolling that has to be done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating with users who do not have the same access to Office Suite. Use browser-based access when I'm unable to access an app or my work computer.
Using Smartsheet has been a great and efficient experience.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how well organized and structured Smartsheet is. I really like having the option of uploading all my backup files for other users on Smartsheets and that I'm able to tag them on the website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have to save multiple times and this can be a headache in a way. Other than this, everything runs smooth.

Smartsheet helps us with the month end closing tasks and the annual audit preparation.
Great tool for managed collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Its flexibility and familiarity — Smartsheet combines the structure of a spreadsheet with powerful project management features, making it incredibly easy for teams to adopt and customise without a steep learning curve

Sometimes the automation doesn't work, we use an automation to send a daily reminder email, and sometimes it stops working

Smartsheet for Project Management and forms
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet does great for project management. One of the easiest platforms to track projects, make gantt charts, and see what is going on. I use it for several large projects. They also have easy triggers for sending emails to people for followups, request apprvoals ,etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a big fan of smartsheet forms. You have to pay more to have automation in the drop downs which is free on most other platforms. It is a lot of manual work if you don't get the top package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet makes approvals a lot easier. When you have a process that involves multiple people and departments it makes it quick and easy to manage the workflow and notify others when the task has moved on to them. We also use it heavily for project management.
Great project management platform but poor user subscription model roll out
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to create different project management sheets based on a wide range of needs. My organization has found it very helpful to use with both internal program staff as well as external community partners who deliver the programs we support. We use different sheets every day in our work, and our team who often struggles with different technology, has had very little issues using Smartsheet. It's easy to integrate with other platforms we use in our daily work, as you can easily export the sheets to PDF, Excel, or Google sheets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything I dislike in terms of the functionality, but I did dislike the rollout of their updated user subscription model. It was very unclear how it was going to impact our pricing until they rolled it out, and then they paused the roll out, I assume because it was poorly received. Other than that, I have no complaints about the platform itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it much easier to manage projects that have a lot of moving pieces and responsibilities, which makes the team and our work more efficient.
