Good product for those willing to invest
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the amount of customization and automation within their systems. The ability to autofire emails based on the data in the sheets was something that speed up our department output quite a bit. I liked the amount of automation available within the system but there is a steep learning curve with it. When integrating into our systems we worked with a rep at the company and it was relatively easy. The ease of use within the program for non technical users was easy to follow as it is sheets based, we leveraged the forms to sheets options to make it even easier for end users to insert data. As a company who uses this daily it is worth the time to look into the features of the product and make sure you get your moneys worth.
What do you dislike about the product?
We felt that the customer support access was a hurdle with this software. Our package came with a certain number of teaching hours but it was next to impossible to get an appointment to utilize the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping to keep data flowing and allowing a location to store this information to review later for any issues or questions.

It doesn't include advanced features like those in Excel.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that its open to multiple users editing the sheets at the same time and you can link the sheets with each other which cuts alot of time. I use it everyday without fail!
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't see if another user is editing the same cell you're editing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping log of all projects and linking them with other smartsheets that collect and update data. (minimises the need to go back and manually edit)

It's interactive, drives efficiency for collaborating with other team members.

The functions appear to be vast, but how common is the knowledge required to follow these is questionable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
interactive way to capture queries linked to various stakeholder where we can see the live status of all queries made and how and when they change through the relevant status.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very easy to use and to get started. Information can be shared to multiple end users, both internally and externally. It is easy to set permissions such as admin, editor, or read-only.
The data is live and everyone can contribute simultaneously. You can also create reports pre-filtered dashboards which give specific information from a larger sheet.
Sheet = database
Report = dashboard - filtered down only to the data and columns someone needs to see.
You can also set up automated emails to share a report or sheet in excel or pdf format to specific email addresses. We find this helpful for giving daily updates to some of our suppliers without giving them access to the online smartsheet itself.

What do you dislike about the product?
As an admin, it is difficult to see an overview of all the sheets and reports created under a company. The admins only see sheets and reports that they have created, or which have been shared with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use smartsheet to coordinate all our company-wide projects. Departments also use separate sheets to manage their internal tasks. We also use smartsheet forms to capture user feedback, such as environmental opportunities for improvement for our environmental system.
Made life much easier
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has made our team work more efficiently. It keeps our information current, available in real time and to whoever we need to see it.
The automatic workflows make setting up sheets so easy (and they are very user friendly).
I love that I no longer spend time sending reminders or following up approvals. It has really become a one stop shop for managing our leasing and property obligations.

What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting modes in Smartsheet are not as intuitive and is a bit clunky.

Smartsheet is helping us to make things work more seamlessly.
It helps us meet our compliance obligations in a hands off manner, as it all happens automatically in the background and alerts us when intervention is required. It save us a lot of time.

Great data visualisation tool, but not perfect
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboards are great for total visibility of campaigns, and taks rollups, at risk etc
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be clunky to format data and the AI assistant doesnt work often. Sometimes tthe data just works despite no changes after some time has passed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The timeline and calendar views are great to capture ongoing timelines, and the dashboards are great for vital reporting up the chain
Smartsheet has been a game changer for our Construction business
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has helped our business keep on top of construction schedules and collaborating as a team with upcoming tasks. We are finding more and more uses for the program in our day to day business. We would highly recommend it to other construction companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
We needed help getting our templates set up as some of the detailed functions were a little complicated to set up initially. However, there was excellent support to do this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us be more organised, specifically with ordering materials and tradespeople.
Easy to create forms with sophisticated automation
What do you like best about the product?
There are many automated functions that can be applied to the sheets as well as a dashboard to have a snapshot of selected sheets. Very easy to implement and integrate to websites / social media. Customer support is very responsive and can resolve issues fairly quickly. I use Smartsheets every day for work and it has become a part of our company's daily operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some nuances such as line skipping on the backend sheet side. There also isn't "real time updates" so it takes a minute or two for information to update. There are work arounds for most nuances and is tolerable.

Central hub for our various needs. Helps keep employees on track for various programs and helps onboard new employees. Can create databases with employee inputted information.

I love the intuitiveness of the system and the number of features it offers.

There are not many things that I dislike about the system!

It is helping me keep track of projects, lists and timelines needed for job efficiency
