Smartsheet Keeps Us on Track
What do you like best about the product?
One of the things I value most about Smartsheet is its real-time, live sheet functionality. Being able to make updates that are instantly visible to my team keeps everyone aligned and eliminates confusion. I especially appreciate the ability to add dates and set up automations—whether it's sending reminders, triggering alerts, or moving tasks forward when a deadline is reached. These automations help ensure that nothing slips through the cracks.
Another standout feature is the automated project numbering system. It allows me to easily track and organize multiple projects without losing sight of where each one stands in the process. This has been a game-changer for staying on top of deadlines and deliverables.
Smartsheet also makes it easy to build custom dashboards, which give me a high-level view of project statuses, key metrics, and upcoming tasks—all in one place. It’s a powerful tool that helps me stay organized, efficient, and in control of my workflow.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet is a powerful and versatile tool, there are a few areas where I think it could improve. Personally, I wish there were more custom color options for formatting cells. The current palette feels somewhat limited, especially when trying to visually differentiate between multiple categories or statuses in a large sheet. Additionally, when using Card View, I find the number of visible lines per card to be too restrictive. It would be helpful to have more flexibility in how much information can be displayed at a glance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Traditional spreadsheets and project tools often require manual updates and don’t reflect changes in real time. Smartsheet’s live sheets ensure that everyone is working from the most current version, reducing miscommunication and keeping your team aligned. Manually tracking deadlines and sending reminders can be time-consuming and error-prone. With automated alerts, reminders, and workflows based on dates or status changes, Smartsheet helps you stay on top of tasks without constant oversight. It’s easy to lose track of where each project stands, especially when managing several at once. Smartsheet’s automated project numbering and customizable dashboards give you a clear, organized view of all your projects, helping you quickly identify what needs attention. Without a centralized view, it’s hard to monitor progress or identify bottlenecks. Dashboards and reports provide real-time insights into project status, helping you make informed decisions and keep everything moving forward.
I have been using smartsheet for the past 3 years in my business and really like it
What do you like best about the product?
That it is an online sheet where everyhting instantly always updates so that all my team members are always up to date

You cant modify formulas on the app on phones or tablets

Smartsheet is very easy to use, lots of different tools that can help track your work easily. I like the easy on the eye layout nothing is too complicated.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much i dislike at the moment, i haven't really had an issues that i have had to raise with customer service.

Keeping track of my work in one nice easy to use sheet.
Keep track of everything
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is that the formatting is so easy to use and that reports can be created from the tasks. As a project manager, tasks can be prepared and discussed so well with the various stakeholders. I use Smartsheet on a daily basis and am very happy of the easy usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Collaborative work is still somewhat limited. If two people are working on the tool at the same time, data may not be saved correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keep the track. Especially for comples projects it is very helpful. I use several templates for one project: I have a RAID log and thus use Smartsheet as well to save decisions that were made.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how flexible Smartsheet is — it’s like using a familiar spreadsheet but with added project management features. The ability to create different views (Grid, Gantt, Card, Calendar) makes it easy to adapt to different workflows. It’s also great for tracking tasks, sharing updates with stakeholders, and setting up automated reminders so nothing slips through the cracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Smartsheet can feel a bit clunky, especially when working with large sheets or lots of linked cells — it can slow down or get confusing to navigate. The learning curve can be a bit steep for new users, and I wish some advanced features were a little easier to set up without having to dig through help articles.

Smartsheet helps me organise complex projects and keep everyone on the same page without endless email threads. It makes it easy to manage timelines, assign tasks, and share progress updates with different stakeholders. Automations save me time on reminders and status updates, so I can focus more on the actual work.

That I would like to learn more about the tool in order to use it wisely, because I am not taking advantage of its full potential and it is something that bothers me.

I like how we can collaborate with team members on our sales processes. The customization of the sheets is very nice too.

Sometimes we have trouble getting access to a shared sheet.

In a business where our sales bag is so vast we can keep track of all of our opportunities so we make use of our hospital visits.
Easy to use, rewarding to master
What do you like best about the product?
At its basic level Smartsheet can increase your workflow and management to an efficiency that isn't achievable through other spreadsheet applications. At its advanced level we have implemented it to have automation, project tracking and intuitive data dashboards

it would be great to link cell values, eg tag a person or a value, then have that value have its own data, like in airtable
