Great tool for collaboration, but a bit antiquated
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes it easier for team members to collaborate and for us to share reports or dashboards with external clients. It's easier to import sheets so that existing plans don't have to be created from scratch and likewise export to other tolls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a bit antiquated, and the dashboards or more sophisticated reports require a lot input that can be time consuming to put together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets is most beneficial to tracking high-level program statuses for our internal stakeholders with views that are shareable externally with clients.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Smartsheet is how customizable and scalable it is. Whether you’re managing a small task list or a complex program, you can tailor sheets, reports, and dashboards to fit your needs. Its automation and alert features help reduce manual follow-ups, and the ability to collaborate in real-time with multiple users makes it ideal for hybrid teams. It also integrates well with other tools we use, which is a huge plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is that reporting can get a little overwhelming if not set up thoughtfully. It’s also easy for new users to get lost without proper onboarding. While the flexibility is great, it can lead to inconsistencies in structure if governance isn’t in place. And some advanced features require a higher-tier plan, which may be a blocker for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps centralize project communication, timelines, and deliverables in one platform. Previously, we relied on scattered email threads, disconnected spreadsheets, and manual status updates. With Smartsheet, we now have real-time visibility into progress, ownership, and deadlines — which significantly improves accountability, decision-making, and overall project efficiency.

Task level project planning is the best part to assign and utilize the manpower and resource allocation

Linking the data manually and some time the link get corrupt and the data will be missed

Project planning in task level helped to get the project delivery date, project man hrs spend and the ontime delivery status

What do you like best about the product?
I love how intuitive and flexible Smartsheet is. It feels like a powerful blend of a spreadsheet and a project management tool, which makes it easy for everyone on the team to adapt without a steep learning curve. The ability to automate workflows and set up alerts helps us stay on top of deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it's feature-rich, some advanced functionality requires a bit of digging or external learning, especially when setting up complex automations or integrations. I’ve also noticed that performance can lag slightly with very large sheets or complex formulas. Additionally, better built-in reporting visuals would be a great improvement.

Smartsheet helps us centralize project tracking, manage timelines, and assign responsibilities more effectively across teams. Before, we struggled with version control, scattered updates, and manual follow-ups. Now, everything is visible in one place — from task progress to file attachments and comments. It has improved accountability, reduced delays, and given us better visibility into workloads and priorities.
A Game-Changer for Project Management and Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate a lot about Smartsheet is how flexible it is. It feels like working in a spreadsheet which makes it easy to get used to but it is way more powerful than that. I've used it frequently to manage everything from project timelines to team task tracking (e.g. engineering verification and validation work) and it handles it well. The automation features are also a huge time saver, being able to set up alerts and reminders without needing to code anything is a big plus. I also enjoy being able to collaborative in real time with colleagues (not possible with MS Project Desktop), especially when we're juggling multiple projects across departments.
I have not had to reach out to their customer services but not felt the need to either. I am sure they would have helped resolve my issues though as the UI and website seem very well designed.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to point out a few downsides, i'd say the mobile app could use some improvements. It works, but it's not as smooth or intuitive as the web version, especially when you're trying to make quick edits or view complex sheets. Also, once you start building out more advanced workflows or dashboards, there's a bit of a learning curve. It's not a dealbreaker though and it just takes time to unlock the full potential of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we're using Smartsheet to build test plans and break down complex projects into clear, actionable tasks. It's helped us stay organized and keep everyone on the same page without relying on scattered spreadsheets or endless email threads. The visibility and structure it provides have made it easier to track progress, meet deadlines and reduce miscommunication across the team.
Excel Alternative with Robust Form Features
What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can attach stuff to the line, link cells, and link sheets. I enjoy creating forms and appreciate that creating a form from a template and mapping it saves me hours by generating a form efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want to be able to freeze a column or hide and unhide one column at a time, not all. I don't like that it doesn't have a recovery feature for cases where the laptop switches off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet allows me to store data in one place, create forms easily, and link sheets like an improved Excel. By generating forms from templates, it saves me hours.

tracking of progress in projects, which are not standard projects, where we cannot use mandatory company templates and checklists, as a product transfers, rebuildings of manufacturing lines, continous improvements tasks

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to create forms, capture data in a usable way leveraging workflow solutions enabling us to better support our customers, ease of collaboration, and reporting with visualization. Beyond Forms, we use SmartSheet for project management which allows for comments and attachments, allowing documentation to be centralized in 1 place and shared across project team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of anything that I do not like about SmartSheet.

SmartSheet simplifies collaboration, reporting, and fills in gaps in technology and integration in an IT stack.
