Impressed with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
There are several upsides of using Smartsheet. The primary benefit i see and use is our client facing dashboard. I also find benefits in the workspace in general allowing for multiple team members to make their own updates. This makes for great team collaboration nd full visibility, customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me, what is least helpful is that sometimes I find that there are features that are not used in our membership. I also wish Smartsheet was integrated into our other primary service deployment program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation has been the major benefit in our companies use of smartsheet.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to my mind that I do not like.

Sharing program plans, goals, and results with external partners in a way that is collaborative.

I like the functionality of the platform - how it's easy to generate reporting and collaborate with peers.

I wish there was more variety in terms of reporting types and formats. Designs could be more diverse.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves the issue of having gaps among peers. Because of its platform being open to all my team, it's easier to navigate the project plan together as a team while making proper edits to each item real time.

While Smartsheet is a powerful and versatile tool, there are a few areas that could be improved
- Performance with Very Large Sheets: When handling extremely large datasets with thousands of rows or heavy formulas, performance can lag, and load times may increase.
-Cost for Enterprise Features: Some of the most useful features (like automated workflows, data mesh, and connectors) are locked behind higher-tier plans, which may be restrictive for smaller teams or budgets.

- Smartsheet centralizes project data in one dynamic workspace. Everyone sees the same information, in real time, with automated updates and alerts. This has significantly improved alignment, reduced meetings, and increased transparency.
- With automation rules in Smartsheet, we’ve eliminated many routine tasks. For example, notifications, row approvals, and reminders now happen automatically, freeing up hours each week and reducing human error.

Success with SmartSheet
What do you like best about the product?
Overall, I have enjoyed the use of Smartsheet compared to other Project Management tools. Managing a project timeline and tracking resource time is straight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, the complexity of setting up projects and automated notifications is difficult to understand and accomplish. Additionally, when setting project timeline templates changes and updates to the template cannot be published retroactively. At the beginning of using SmartSheet, its a learning process which often results in changes being made to timeline templates which are already in use. Updating those active projects is time consuming.

What do you like best about the product?
The variety of templates. This saves time in having to creating these. I can just go right in and start filling in my content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. Sometimes I get tripped up on the "indent" feature but I think that's my learning curve.

A MUCH better alternative to excel. Smartsheet is much more user friendly

What do you like best about the product?
SmartSheet offers the flexibility to create custom sheets and workflows, making it super easy to automate processes and improve project data capture. Plus, you can share Smartsheet with anyone, letting them interact and add value to our project portfolio.
What do you dislike about the product?
We could definitely use some improvements in the planning area. Right now, the Gantt charts are pretty basic and missing some advanced features. It would be awesome to have things like hammock tasks, automatic resource leveling, and the ability to assign multiple resources with different allocations to a single task.

With SmartSheet, we're now able to connect all our project data seamlessly. This allows us to manage our portfolio of changes with up-to-date information, without the need for any manual adjustments. Our stakeholders have access to the same information as the project team, creating a smooth and consistent communication channel for project delivery.
