Great Email Automation and Tracking, but More Smartsheet Automation Would Help
What do you like best about the product?
I’m able to automate email messages and, at the same time, track information about what’s missing for my company. My emails are automated based on the items I add to the list, which helps me stay organized and follow up more consistently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more automation tools within Smartsheet. For example, it would be really helpful if I could schedule sends based on more than one piece of information, or connect my SQL queries to it so they could drive what the automation does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating emails is definitely the best part, since I don’t have to send them one by one.
Flexible Ticket Tracking with Room for Time Resolution Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet is easy to customize, and the information it has is good. I also appreciate the templates it uses, as they make the customization and use of the system easy. We can change headers in the templates, add or remove columns if needed, or just choose not to show them to people. The template made things very much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Area of improvement for me is under, like, time resolution. If we could get more specific or more in detail as in instead of just putting a date, being able to put a time as well. That way, I can see when things come in instead of just the day, and then I can track better, more in-depth information as to, like, how long things really take.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet as an IT ticket tracking system to measure productivity and time to resolution. It helps us internally track tickets and assists with documentation.

Simple, organized, and ease of use. Fast integration and implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Going beyond simple project management requires a lot of learning.

Smartsheet is very cross-functional. We use it for implementing project management discipline for many repetitive tasks.
Easy Document Attachments That Keep Work Moving
What do you like best about the product?
The way in which you can attach documents

The fact you can't hide columns above like on a spread sheet without deleting them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for the crew on site to gather information so it is really useful as it changes online and the fact plans and attachments can be put on to it.
Streamlines Design Projects, Needs Notification Tweaks
What do you like best about the product?
I find Smartsheet effective for design projects, especially for keeping all the stakeholders up to date on project progress. The report generation feature is really handy during our design meetings, and I like how quick the modifications are notified when an update is made. Additionally, I appreciate that our IT team handled the setup without any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
When working on several Smartsheets, the email notifications generated are usually a lot, and each change generates 2 emails. I think 1 email once a change is made is sufficient. And it needs stronger visualization features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Smartsheet for design projects, and it ensures everyone is up to date on progress. The report generation helps in meetings. It allows collaboration, though email notifications can be excessive when working on several sheets.

What do you like best about the product?
Structured, easy to use, "smarter" Excel, automation tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Technical limits of cells/rows; filtering options in Dashboards; Resource management is not include in main functionality and it is for very high price; due to missing better report tools still needs to use other SW; a lot of modules for extra price

Structured manage and track activities with possible comments and automation setup of messages etc.

Easy Collaboration with Live Spreadsheets, Tables, and Graphs
What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to use. It’s brilliant being able to share live spreadsheets with other colleagues. I also love how it can automatically create tables and graphs, which makes it much easier to analyse the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really - it does everything I want it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating with other colleagues and being able to view the graphs to summarise the data.
Transforms Publishing Production with Smart Tracking and Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you're able to add links and attach documents that are relevant to a specific file and file name. It shows when tasks are done with the smart ticks and provides updates on who is editing the sheet. The interactivity really shines once you get to know it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think maybe allowing images to be directly imported into the sheet, which is visible. Maybe timers to better increase production. Things that'll come down to a deadline. It wasn't that easy to set up and similar to Excel, but it does take a while to get used to. The intricacies and the available tools and helpful additions are not available on other spreadsheets.

I use Smartsheet to keep things logged in a logical order, with good lists and priority display.
Clear, Structured Project Planning Overview with Detailed Task Assignments
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it’s possible to create a clear, structured planning overview for projects, where you can specify multiple details such as dates, equipment, and who tasks are assigned to.
What do you dislike about the product?
The indents and outdents are sometimes a bit finicky, so it takes some time to adjust. On the right side, when there are many lines, it can sometimes be difficult to read. Also, on the right side I’d like to see the exact date instead of only the weekday.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us create higher-quality project overviews, timelines, and schedules. It saves us a lot of time to have everything clearly set up in Smartsheet, instead of having to build it from scratch in Excel, for example, which takes extra time just to get the layout right. We also like using the option to save projects as templates, so we can reuse them for similar projects. That way, we spend less time setting up the project schedule and activities each time.
