What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes it easy to create clean, organized lists. It is like using a streamlined excel template, but simpler.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an experienced Excel user, the functionality is limited with Smartsheet. I am also not used to the hot keys, so it takes me much longer to create the sheet that I want compared to Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration on goals and tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to plan, collaborate and track all of our content across all of our channels with a variety of ways to filter and view that content.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a fairly high barrier to entry to learn how to set it up and how to use all of its functionality. It is a powerful tool, and I am sure I am not using it to its full capacity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides one place for our team to plan, view and collaborate on communication content and projects.
Great solution, but support and licensing is confusing and unhelpful
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use of the tool and the ability to write reports from the master plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support is difficult and unhelpful. The Ai bot gives confusing and inaccurate information, and the stock reply from support is to send a long response with a number of links to articles, which aren't helpful. A live chat type support option would be better - and expected based on the cost of the solution.

- Ease of use for basic maintenance of project documents, while maintaining more sophisticated functionalities for those users who want to fully exploit the possibilities.
- Customization of alerts and update notification options for team members.
- Familiar look & feel (Excel-like) for simple documents, but also the ability to generate dashboards in a very versatile way.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Lack of more integration options with other systems (e.g., time reporting tools, or synchronization options with Outlook for session scheduling).
- Lack of a greater number of predefined templates for project management.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps us solve all the tasks for planning and tracking system implementation projects very effectively, saving us a lot of time compared to traditional tools. We highly value the ability to collaborate and share documents with users outside our organization (clients).
We miss having a greater number of predefined templates for project planning, risk management, or a larger number of dashboards for executive presentations and Steering Committees.

- Tracking cell history is sometimes cumbersome, as it displays everything together.
- Auditing Changes for reviewers is not easy.

Expensive price point compared to some alternatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Addresses problems related to inefficient workflows, lack of real time visibility.
Good but not perfect
What do you like best about the product?
multiple people can use the smartsheet at same time. Email notification. Reporting (allow people to update from the report, instead of the original sheet)

formula is not the same as Excel. also less formulas. Hard to troubleshoot formulas like Excel. cannot format the title

Customizable and Tailor-Made Software to fit your specific Needs!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has changed my career and given me a tool where I can basically create my own software that fits my exact needs of my job. I use it every single day! As a project manager, I looked into many software options right off the shelf but almost all of them left something to be desired that didn't work for me. Smartsheet revolutionized how I manage projects, and was very easy to learn to use and set up. Even the complex macros and features I found to be straightforward, and I'm not super techy at computers. You don't have to write code or be computer genius to be able to create something really special with Smartsheet. I can't recommend it enough!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are options or cool things I would like to try out and design that might not be available yet on the software, however they are constantly adding new features based on comments from users. So I appreciate that they are listening and adding these as they can.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a workspace where I can have multiple sheets that communicate with each other and team members to move my projects forward and streamline information

What do you like best about the product?
I love that forms, sheets, and workflows can have automated processes, reports, and dashboards can combine data from multiple sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't always have an easy way to create summaries & cell formulas, requires some skill and trial and error, and can't create pivot tables with multiple columns and rows. Also, the upgrade took away the ability to round decimals in percentages. Inability to import Excel spreadsheets from external sources and only have non-duplicate cells updated.
Do not like the fact that the university cost is going to increase and include a full license for users who only update/edit cells.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gives the ability to edit, track, and share info. Love that form can be sent to end user, discreet data entered, and populates spreadsheets to make data "maneuverable".

Data collection and analysis is made so much easier with Smartsheet. Building automations, graphs, telling stories, so easy!

I wish that I could make bulleted lists in smartsheet cells
