Call Analysis Amplified

  • July 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of which you are able to breakdown calls. Note taking is already eliminated using a tool like Gong, but even further you can easily jump right to the topics that are most important to review.
What do you dislike about the product?
It integrates into our video call software but often doesn't sync until a few minutes after the call has begun. It's a little awkward getting through introductions and a very loud doorbell chimes in, can be a good icebreaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong helps provide significant call integrity in terms of reviewing content and performance. It saves me time and allows me to be more an active listener because I don't have to take notes. It also makes the second and third calls I have with prospects even better because reviewing the prior notes "verbatim" is just that much easier.

Absolutely helpful

What do you like best about the product?
I like the call monitoring that I can look back on to review where any of my calls could have gone wrong, and the performance metrics to guide me better as far as when and where I should speak aswell as the call process. Not alot of other platforms do the same thing gong is capable of doing.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike is there isn't a direct hub for me to put calls I want to save. Although there a folders, it would be nice if there was a specific location for all of my calls that i want to save and also send over to other indifividals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem I am solving is having a refresher for my next follow up call. A lot of the time, i will get off a call and not remember specific talking points that i want to retouch or my calls want to retouch. it's also helped me develop my talking points and where i should be introducing different ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend using gong as a tool within any company looking to expand and have a better grasp of their sales cycle, and how to value prop on a consistent basis. Gong has allowed me to review all my calls with specific metrics designed for my company. Not a lot of other call recording platforms allow you to record, apply metrics, and create folders to store all of your calls.

Gong for Customer Success Team

  • July 15, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having my calls automatically recorded is incredibly helpful for sharing internally, reviewing for action items, and especially send to my customers so they can refer back to our product training calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcripts can be a bit off, but it's not a roadblock.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong has provided a more transparent sales cycle for the Sales and Customer Success teams. On the post sales side, being able to refer back to sales demos and conversations helps me understand the expectations the customer had when they signed up. Additionally, the feedback loop from management is so much tighter since they can listen to the calls when they have the time and provide constructive advice without having to wait for a 1 on 1 meeting.

Revisit all of your calls

  • July 15, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to go back and listen to what my customers said versus what I think they said, derive the value they see, and apply it to the next set of correspondences.
What do you dislike about the product?
Note taker appears as a guest on your Webex, takes some time to explain to the customer, but generally that's acceptable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, being able to revisit calls and get the information straight from the horse's mouth.

Easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
I like that i can go back and review calls easily as well as share snippets with others like customers and internal. It helps me get better as a sales rep to hear my calls, and review how I can get better. I like that I can go back to customers and ask questions or follow up questions I didn't have a chance to to ask on the phone. Customers like the fact that they can also view the calls from training or save the recordings for future new hire that come on board. Also new leaders come into the sales cycle and it is a great way to get them brought up to speed!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of. It was very easy to use and to implement with Salesforce.com. It is a very easy tool to share insights with customers as well for both training purposes as well for sales calls. Cusotmers enjoy a copy of the recording when certain key individuals are unable to join in on the call due to vacation, current meetings, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Taking notes, reviewing how customer says things and helps me learn what follow up questions I still need to ask. I can get back to the customer faster with quests that are still remaining! It helps shorten my sales cycle. Gong is super helpful for customer trainings. Also when new sales leaders come into the selling cycle, the call recordings can help bring them up to speed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. No matter the cost, it says you time and money in the selling cycle!

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is a must-have for any sales organization committed to continuous improvement, development of reps, and customer experience. Best part is the ability to listen to top performing reps, understand best practices, and scale to the org.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to organize calls into sub categories, apply tags, etc. to make searching that much easier and efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to learn from my peers, understand where I can continue to develop, and seek feedback from managers/ coaches.

Forget taking notes during calls, Gong changes everything. The best app you never knew you needed!

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is easy to use, and extremely powerful and functional. I can review my calls, listen to everything, with automatic voice-to-text transcription and a helpful index and easy to read/understand/use GUI I can jump to anywhere in a call I want. I can play back at multiple speed settings. I can listen in to live calls. I can even see what's currently being screenshared or screencast. It always just works, uptime is fantastic, haven't experienced a downtime yet, even with months of use. I LOVE their mobile app too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Normally it's easy to find something about a product I don't like. What can I say? I'm a picky guy. In this case I don't really have anything major. The one thing is that the voice to text is sometimes comically wrong, but that's not Gong's fault, Apple, Google, Microsoft, everyone gets this wrong because our technology is not quite there yet. Like I said, I'm nit-picking here. No complaints so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I no longer have worry about rushing to write everything down, or playing back an mp3 audio file of a call that gives me absolutely NO INFO about what I said, where I said ,what the major topics or themes of the call were. etc. With Gong I can easily jump into anywhere in a call I want. I can add notes where I want them for myself and others in my org. to view. I can jump into my teammates calls and listen in to learn from them. I can playback calls at 1 or 1.5x or 2x. I can see what was screencast or screenshared.

I get an email after every call where I can play the call back and take any notes I may have missed. Great training tool for myself and others. I can review calls with managers and teammates, it's completely changed my workflow and increased my productivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong is a great tool for conversation analysis and for reviewing your calls, it's helpful for sales training/coaching and it just works.

An awesome tool for those with a growth mindset

  • July 12, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Listening to my last call with a customer while I'm prepping for the next one is a great way to make sure I'm not missing anything. I often hear opportunities to drill deeper on discovery where I failed to ask an important follow-up question, and build that into my plan for the next meeting. Listening to my own calls allows me to coach myself and correct for bad habits, etc. And having my manager listen to my calls makes our coaching sessions much more productive and impactful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recording that cuts in to tell all parties the call is being recorded is important, but it's poorly timed and the quality of the audio is very poor. It sounds like the recording is being played into a phone from an area with terrible cell service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better, deeper discovery makes for larger deals. Never dropping the ball on action items helps maintain trust. And better coaching sessions with my manager help me to get better every week.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Some of my colleagues were reluctant to embrace Gong when it was first rolled out. I think it's critical for a sales leadership group looking to implement this tool to help their teams see how they will directly benefit from the tool. I'd focus communication on the self-coaching sort of features. While the ability for my manager to listen to my calls was exciting for me, for lots of people, it felt a bit big brother. Same goes for the ability to listen to colleagues calls. People came around, but I'd lead with the value of listening to your own calls as a note-taking and self-coaching tool.

Great Experience with Gong

What do you like best about the product?
The recording helps with sales training and also documenting customer notes so you can go back and listen to things you might have missed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not comfortable listening to ones own voice and critiquing how the conversation could have gone differently or better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better customer note taking and being able to hear how I articulate the message and recognizing areas I can improve.
