Why Gong is a great training tool!!
What do you like best about the product?
It records everything and then highlights the salient words and content that goes on with every call. It's an invaluable resource to help improve our conversations with customers
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a great tool - I use it when I need to and haven't found anything I don't like except the sound of my own voice!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems solved are managing the talk time between me and the customer, confirming that what the customer says he said is really what he said, and also confirming what I said is what the customer heard. It's also a great training tool to learn how to structure a call, when to stay quiet and when to make an important point to closing the sale.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a way to document all calls, Gong is the solution.
Great way to understand you're sales process.
What do you like best about the product?
the best part of Gong is being able to dissect your call into teachable moments for yourself and colleagues. It also gives me a great ability to follow up with prospects around specifics they ask for.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit of a downside to Gong is the micromanagement aspect of it. Your boss can basically select every point of your pitch and shred it apart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No real problems to speak of.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't know any, pretty solid product.
Enhance the sales experience

Being able to gain insight during different sections of my phone calls.
Vital software for onboarding
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is useful in most Success/Sales orgs. But it is entirely useful (and vital) in onboarding new clients. At its base, Gong is simply a tool for recording calls, but it goes well beyond that. Gong also transcribes calls, allows for snipper creations, and has dynamic sharing tools that allow it to be useful not only to me as a trainer, but also to the client. The transcriptions are never perfect, but they are entirely functional and quite helpful for client and user alike.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gong needs to improve their interface for users. It is often difficult to go back and find your call, and the search functionalities need improvement. There needs to be a clearer dashboard for users, where your calls are listed, and your talk time stats, etc. Adding a dashboard would take care of a lot of the issues we, as users, experience in our reflective practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setting up power words in Gong is quite helpful in following up on any items a client might need addressed. Additionally, this tool is really vital in collecting client feedback, distilling it, and then moving that feedback up the chain. Being able to provide a Gong snippet to developers where they can easily listen to a client's use case is a really helpful extra feature of Gong.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly suggest considering various power words you'd like to use for your own reflective practice.
The other way to take notes....
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can go back and listen to a call, a month or even out further form when I had it. Even if I find theta I take copious notes (there are subtle things that I forget during the call). I . have had several situations where I recap a previous call and the caller responds with that is a perfect playback and represents where I am at. It also allows me to listen to peoples names and make sure I bring up relevant contacts when discussing the las tmile of the sales process.
I am also a big fan of listening to other colleagues calls,. I have drastically sharpened my game and allowed me to be omnipresent on other calls. Using Gong provides a way to listen and make adjustments the way and athlete watches game tape.
I also like to share calls with other reps or my boss when wither i did something particularly good or bad. On a number of occasions our sales enablement lead has indicated he listed to a call and liked what I said or did. The positive feedback is good to

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the automated this call is being recorded by gong. We tried to self disclose when we first signed on with the technology and our legal team ended that trial because we couldn't get a high enough % of compliance. I also don't find the highlights or call to actions particularly valuable. There needs to be a way that GONg uses AI to have more customizable CTA's based on the business and product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
recalling the specifics of the conversations
Understanding if I am talking to much or letting the buyer control
Listen to other reps to pick up golden nuggets from their calls.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's the most important piece of sales software I use. I probably access the content and use the service 4 to 5X anything else including sales intelligence like SFDC, engagio, hubspot etc. It has def changed the way I conduct calls and run my sales motion for the better.
Gong!
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to give ongoing coaching and feedback to my team while also learning more for my role including product and industry knowledge from listening to demos! I also love how Gong breaks things down so it's easy to digest and find what I'm looking for if I need something specific. For Account Executives to be able to listen to qualifying calls before giving a demo is super helpful well so they have the full context of what the potential customer is looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't had any big issues with Gong, sometimes the import times are inconsistent but I wouldn't say it's a problem! I think because there is so much visibility it can make people uncomfortable knowing anyone can listen to their calls but it also opens them up to be more vulnerable and open to coaching.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any gaps from utilizing first 30 seconds or adjusting what value props people are using!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend sales org and even customer success to use Gong, it's a great way to keep everyone connected and in line with what customers/potential customers are saying! It's also a huge help when on-boarding so the new hire can listen to calls and watch demos to gain product knowledge and more fully understand the industry as a whole. How you speak to customers is a big part of the BDR and sales world so this is a fantastic way to teach that!
First it’s sour then it’s sweet
What do you like best about the product?
I honestly didn’t want to implement gong. Seemed a little too ‘big brothery’ for me. It only took a few weeks to forget some crucial element in a meeting and go back to the Gong recording. Saved my deal and my quota. That’s when I flipped my opinion. Gong is glorious
What do you dislike about the product?
The message at the beginning of every call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I realized I forget key topics in meeting and have gone back to the gong recording on numerous occasions. It’s pretty clutch.
Automated feedback and topic tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Love the ability to tag certain topics that Gong will pick up for me and seeing the stats of who is talking the most.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dislike the transcripts - as they are usually wrong/inaccurate, but I see the potential!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning how to talk less and let the prospect do the talking. Love the ratios that help us see how much we are talking.
I will reject job offers if they don't use Gong
What do you like best about the product?
The transcripts. Tagging others in the call. Recordings of just about all calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I move a calendar invite by dragging it to a new time Gong won't appear on that call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having transcripts is a huge one for me. It helps when I am currently driving or unable to take notes while on a call. I like that I can tag and leave comments on the call and send it to someone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This will change the way you sell.
