The best call intelligence tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
Call stats are extremely helpful for me, it tells me the ratio of me talking vs. my prospects which is so helpful, identifies their level of engagement and interactivity on the call and other really helpful insights to constantly improve my calls. I can also tag my manager in specific parts of the call for feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, this is the best of the best. I have used Chorus as well and Gong is my preference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving my call structure and engagement, being able to review my calls and easily share with colleagues and customers.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to transcribe and categorize has been amazing for clients. Being able to pinpoint exactly what we were speaking of has been useful so we can reference things from training videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Attaching it to zoom is a bit confusing - haven't yet even figured it out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving 1. validation problems (he said/she said/you said this, etc.) so we can clarify what was promised during calls. 2. is training - we can send our videos to clients so they can constantly reference them during their future product use.
Very effective tool in strategizing and proving success
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is great for proving success and finding where our reps can improve. I've used it as a way to discuss strategy and nail down exactly what our success metrics are, and then Gong allows us to show where we are on the pathway to success.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the metrics that come out-of-the-box are somewhat useless in answering our questions. They help to keep our teams in good habits, but they don't provide much in the way of insight for improvement. Particularly the activity and interaction metrics have many metrics (ie Longest Customer Story, Talk Ratio, etc.) that don't seem to yield any measurable correlation to success.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Gong to see what conversations are being had with our prospects and gain insight into what messages are working with people the most. It allows us to test out hunches, see if what we are doing really is effective, and help us adjust until we can fine-tune our message.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to integrate as many tools as possible. The more win data you have connected to Gong, the easier it'll be to compile data for reporting.
Unlocking conversations to the next level
What do you like best about the product?
As a sales rep, Gong's ability to organize the entire conversation with an account, with a further breakdown of specifics in the call to understand important metrics with comparison to top performance reps. I am able to get an entire snapshot of the account to stay on the same page as my AE as the deal comes to fruition as well as leveling my own conversation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know saying nothing isn't too helpful, but nothing!!! This platform has helped me level up as an SDR and is vital for me as I step into the AE role, to understand exactly what points I have to hit. Excellent for leveling up conversations and understanding the whole picture. Without Gong, I would have to rely on recordings, which is helpful but does not break down a deep analysis of ways to improve based on research.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Self-coaching. Gong provides the metric for sales reps to analyze their own calls with improvements and comparisons suggested. Their transcription highlighting topics discussed, ability to pinpoint certain parts of the conversation to add notes from yourself or another user, and automatic import from our integration makes it so easy. All of the top sales rep at our organization utilize Gong. It is a tool that can help you stand out from the rest of your peers, by investing in yourself.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want reps to have a breakdown and deep analysis of their calls, Gong is the way to go! Utilizing Gong has enhanced my sales knowledge and breakdown compared to peers with deep insight and research. This is a vital tool for my next step in my career as I can take a hands-off approach and learn on my own time, decreasing rep ramp time.
Robust Sales Tool - Good for documentation , quick reference, and team training
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can leave comments in certain parts of the call and tag my team member when I need their input. I also like that I can quickly jump to the parts of the call where we're discussion pricing or they give an objection. When I want to refresh my talk track, I can check and see how more senior reps are handling objections or setting up their calls. I also benefited from the metrics and best practices, in the beginning, to ensure I wasn't speaking too much and reminding me to ask more questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think the AI transcription tool is that useful. I talk to a global pool of business owners from India, South Africa, Spain, etc, and because of that I can't search for specific words in the call transcript easily or use the text to pull out takeaways.
I also find the way the bot chimes in at the beginning of a call and takes up a whole section of my screen extremely annoying. I wish I could minimize this or that there was just a small highlight at the beginning that showed the call was being recorded not a vocal bot.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We piloted it to see where we could improve as salespeople. At first, the metrics were very insightful but over time I've paid less attention to them. For example, customer story, impatience, and so on. Training and quick recaps of past conversations. It's good for revisiting sections of a conversation quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great when you want more visibility into what your remote reps are doing and areas you need to coach them on as well without having to join each call or share Google files.
Better insight = better conversations = more effective conversations = more $$$
What do you like best about the product?
instant AI feedback on every call gives me immediate insight and coaching for my calls - this is HUGE!! I'm pretty sure every sales rep wants feedback. We want to know where and how to improve so that we can make more sales. Before Gong, I had to wait 8 hours for our call system to upload the call, then find the call in our call log, then download the 100mb+ recording, then find a way to send that file to my manager, THEN finally get feedback a few days later when they had time. By that time I hardly remembered the call and what they were coaching me on. With Gong's automatic insights, I get feedback right away! And the extra neat thing is it learns our team's style, sales process etc even more over time so the coaching is always improving.
What do you dislike about the product?
the only thing I dislike (which isn't really anything against gong as it's not part of their offering) is that it doesn't offer real-time feedback while ON the call. I've seen another platform that offered this, but it doesn't integrate with our CRM. So, as for Gong, it's incredible...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
more consistent coaching, faster feedback to sales reps, and also my sales managers LOVE Gong because they can easily sort, filter and search their reps calls very quickly; and even setup filters to email them calls that fit within certain parameters (e.g., calls over 5 minutes that mention the keyword 'contract terms'). we've seen our sales rep satisfaction up, conversations improve, cross collaboration where reps are learning from each other, and more effective management and coaching

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that Gong let's me listen to the areas I need to improve on. This allows me to continuously hone my skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that by default all calls are recorded but I understand this can be disabled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest advantage to using Gong is that if I miss details on a call, or need to revisit what was talked about, I can. The benefit is that I don't have to jot down the notes and can pay attention to the customer.

I highly recommend listening to yourself and others on your team to find ways to improve. It helps better prepare you.
Great Resource for Sales
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to learn from my peers and search an entire library of calls that can benefit my career.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes wasting time trying to find a call that is actually worthwhile.

If I'm inheriting an account that I haven't talked with before, listening to a Gong call of that account is very helpful.
Great for Sales calls and internal meetings
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to tag teammates in a call and share insights from sales meetings/recordings. It also allows me to be more attentive during a call because I know Gong is recording in the background for me to look back for action items and notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly don't love all of the email notifications from prospecting calls. I typically schedule out my day to make cold calls all at once, which floods my inbox all at once with 50+ cold calls, half of which were never answered and just clutter my gong recordings for the calls I do care to look at.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving internal communication problems with Gong. Through Gong's tagging ability, we can quickly involve developers and other team members into sales calls, which was not happening before.
