Love what gong gas done for my sales process!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to go back and read the transcription of what was said. The fact that subject matters are labeled for easy access to timestamps is a total game changer. I always end up picking up a small detail every single time I go back and relisten to my client conversations and pitches.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally the only thing I dislike is the announcement of the gong recorder at the beginning of my zoom calls. Always makes for a nice awkward pause as soon as the client joins the call prior to engaging in conversation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I feel like i am able to holistically revisit conversations in order to provide maximum value and further show my attention to detail for my customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend if someone wishes their team to get more of an understanding of talk ratio's topics and conversation details. The ability for management to coach reps on skills remotely is extremely helpful and doesn't have the "big brother" type feel.

Brilliant Insights Lead to Solid Feedback

  • July 27, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
In the past, I have reviewed calls and received feedback from managers that are not directly connected to real, tangible moments between myself and a customer. With Gong, my manager and I can pinpoint exact moments and words that I use that make the moments on the phone stand out. It has made my learning and growth exponentially easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the transcriptions with Gong aren't accurate, but with time it learns more of my own speaking tendencies and can more accurately transcribe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are a few silos that the impressions of calls can live in: in my own head (did that feel good/bad?), in my manager's head (when they listen to a call), in the customer's head (what did they leave with feeling?), and in the recorded version of the call.

Gong solves the siloing of these impressions by bringing the conversation into one space, allowing me to perform better.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ever wonder what makes someone feel great after a phone call with your team? Does training and implementing strategy for calls feel daunting or over complicated? Is there a lack of insight in your company as to why things are going the way they're going during your calls?

Gong will help.

Gong gives insight, suggestions and data on the performance of your team during calls. As an individual contributor, I find it immensely valuable to have a breakdown of everything I could possibly think of to help me perform better and serve customers at a higher level.

Gong is awesome.

A great tool for team selling and coaching

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy to use and intuitive the main functions of Gong are. It is very easy to teach reps how to use it and it has become a staple in their daily work lives.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "Deals" and "Activity" pages are a little clustered and hard to follow. Additionally some configuration with recording consent - using the consent page specifically. You can not select specific users to have the consent page which would be nice.

You can also not export anything from the Stats page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong has allowed us to share best practices among all sales reps, and expedite onboarding through the use of real life selling examples. Commenting and tagging is also a great feature for team selling and for everyone on an opportunity to know what's going on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong is a great tool especially in the conditions of today's world where everything is virtual. This tool makes conversations with customers easily visible across the business and streamlines coaching and 1:1 conversations. For conversation intelligence and coaching Gong is the best. They are working to get more sophisticated with their product and those changes definitely still have some kinks to work out but for the most basic functions there isn't a better way to go.

Valuable Learning Tool

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can share the calls with your colleagues or director. It has been a useful tool to learn about better practices and also help refine your calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't really anything I dislike about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to hear how I sound and bring any calls where I am pausing or unsure how to handle objections to my manager. From there we can roleplay and really breakdown how my calls can be better. This also allows our team to run classroom activities while we are out of the office and we can submit calls for different learning purposes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using Gong as a way to not only track what your sales team is doing but you can also ensure they are doing things the right way. As a salesperson, you can analyze where you went wrong or where you can do better.

Critical to personal efficiency

What do you like best about the product?
I am a power user of the "transcribe" feature, and I enjoy the flexibility around sharing only snippets of calls with clients. Key for privacy.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been several bugs or hiccups I have encountered where a call doesn't record.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I no longer have to take tedious meeting notes- when I am on calls, I can actually focus on the conversation at hand and not have to worry about remembering every tiny detail.

Recording calls for Auditing and determining client needs.

Gong is a must-have

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Gong allows me to supplement my note-taking with data driven recordings, and being able to listen to other team members' calls is an absolute life saver for the new remote lifestyle. I have used it at multiple sales organizations, and at this point consider it as essential as email or a CRM.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only snags I've run into are when it doesn't automatically record because a team member originally scheduled the call, and that team member didn't have their account sync properly. (Pretty easy to fix those ad hoc at the beginning of a meeting, though)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to more fully participate in a natural conversation instead of trying to scribble down shorthand notes. I know I can always recheck facts after the call by listening to the recording, and I'm able to leverage the natural language data afterwards to better hone my selling skills.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Why are you still reading reviews? You should have bought Gong yesterday.

Needed now more than ever!

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to automatically put calls into folders based on the call disposition. I can easily log into Gong and can listen to all of the calls that resulted in a meeting set. They are all organized into one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how long it takes for the call recording to populate. I wish it was faster. I might be nit picking a bit but sometimes it takes hours for the call recordings to show up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to listen to my team members calls so that I can give them coaching feedback. In the office I'm able to help my BDRs in real time, but with all of us working from home Gong allows me to still listen to what they are saying to prospects. Without Gong I wouldn't be able to coach my team and they wouldn't be able to sharpen their phone skills.
