Seriously high tech
What do you like best about the product?
Transcribing the calls is cool. Transcribing and indexing the calls is way cool. Transcribing, indexing, and analyzing the calls is amazing. But then they added alerts based on keywords, holy wow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The name. When I first heard of 'Gong', I thought of some type of sales attribution software, like alerting people that you made a sale. Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't know what Gongs have to do with call transcribing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Taking perfect notes. Remembering who was on certain calls. Attending calls you didn't really need to attend.

If you would like to use AI to analyze all the calls that your sales folks are making.
Great call recording and training solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the calls are recorded and transcribed. It's very easy to then take either of those and share them with your team (for further analysis or training) or your customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The navigation is a bit clunky. I wish that it was more user friendly. You really have to click around to get where you want to go. For example, if you want to just send a clip of a recording to a customer, you have to click share and follow the prompts. I'd rather be able to edit the clip on the main screen and then take that and share it. Might just be some user error and preference, but it's what I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong allows us to record calls and share results easily. Call recordings are used for training, further analysis and detail that a technical team may need to review, or to collaborate with customers.
It's saved us a lot of time and has helped us to be more accurate with details of a call.

What do you like best about the product?
Having the recording available to review after calls and to use as prep for future calls, being able to allow my boss visibility into my calls to help coach me up

I wish the recordings transcripts were a little crisper and accurate.

Amazing sales tool
What do you like best about the product?
Analytics on my sales calls. Allows me to be precise in my selling. I love the the data and key insights into each call.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have a lot to say that is bad. The one thing I can think of is I can't add Gong to an outbound cold call. I would love to have you help me figure that out. If I call a prospect from my cell phone I would love to click something and have Gong join the call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong allows me to tie each sales call together enabling me to get the most out of each call. I know this has shortened my sales cycle and helped me close more deals

This is a no brainer if precise selling is important.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to listen to my colleagues calls. Being able to reevaluate my calls. Having my mentor and boss be able to tell me what I am doing right and wrong. I can study myself and others, and get better everyday.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to find certain accounts. Sometimes the labels are located wrong within the call conversations. However, these are very picky dislikes and generally fine.

Tweaks in my sales pitch. Understanding where I can get better as a sales rep.

If you want to hear your previous sales tactics, as well as listen to the best sales reps within your organization, I definitely recommend Gong.
Enablement staple
What do you like best about the product?
Great tool for identifying and communicating "what good looks like" and using it to onboard new hires. We save a lot of snippets and use them as social proof for trainings, rollouts, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little more reporting flexibility would be nice so we're not having to export and make a ton of pivots.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to chunk coaching when you have reps source calls for you. Good way to create visibility for other team members on what successes are happening.
Gong is a game changer
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is an amazing tool for learning from your calls and also keeping track of conversations to go back and reference. It gives me insights on what my filler words are, keywords mentioned in my calls, or details on whether I should talk longer, have more patience, etc. I'm also a big note taker, but it can distract from me actively listening and having a good conversation. Now I can take high level notes and know that I can go back to reference Gong if I missed anything. It helps me engage better. Lastly, it helps onboard new reps quicker, because you can listen to the top rep's calls and hear how they pitch the product, address objections, etc. Highly recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Gong could create a little better interface for organizing calls. If I want to go listen to the best discovery calls, demos, closing calls, it's not easy to know what calls I should be listening to. You can create folders but it takes a lot of manual work to sort through calls & categorize them. Some automation perhaps to help sort good/bad calls and what types of calls they are would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving my process in sales, faster training times, ability to learn from top reps, ability to take less notes and go back and listen to calls if I missed anything.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to analyze and distill calls to make them succinct and digestable. I love the ability to speed calls up, slow them down, and send specific snippits. Gong is the most valuable tool in my toolbox, for both coaching and deal velocity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search functionality remains a work in progress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coaching and call reviews have become much easier to work through. The functionality allows me to improve as a salesperson and help give me minutes back in my day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate the whole company offering, including support, webinars, LinkedIn follows, etc. It is very impressive how invested they are not only in the product, but the entire company.
Great tool for reps
What do you like best about the product?
The first thing to catch my eye is how easy it is to use a tool like Gong. There is nothing that I need to do on my end to make sure that Gong is recording, just jump into my client Zoom meeting and voila! I have my recording. The insights provided by Gong are great, like pointing out next steps, how much time I talked vs. my customer, action items, etc. I don't know how many times I jump back into Gong to find next steps and they already have them blocked off for me. Very helpful tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a hassle to find the call that I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am always working to make sure I follow-up the 70/30 rule (I talk for 30% of the call, while my prospect talks for 70%). Having this insight is a great reminder that I talk too much, and I need to listen more.

If you or your manager have any sort of coaching that involves listening to recorded calls, I would highly recommend checking out Gong.
Fast, efficient and accurate
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the annotation features, reminders and organization that the software provides. Great to see an accurate and searchable voice to text system that is easy to pickup and use without a large amount of formal training. Would be ideal to get some monthly deal in review features such as the beta that is currently being tested.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times voice to text can be repetitive, would be great with more constructive feedback on individual sales process and suggest resources to help with certain situations. Ideally sales and advice centred videos and links to popular articles and key contributors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization and clarity is the main benefits from gong, would be great to get more constructive feedback from this information and move to a more interactive system. The main benefit I have seen is accuracy in deal details in past conversations, keeps me organized in terms of dates, times and pain points. Saves repeat calls and emails for clarification and ensures that what I said actually happened within a call.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a good system that is quite intuitive and quick to pick up full for useful information and features. Would be a benefit to any sales organization looking to improve their overall organization and accuracy within the sales process. Would be ideal to have been using this program a few years ago. Good to level up your sales and organizational knowledge through listening to others calls and customer interactions.
