Customer Success Manager using Gong
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Gong for the ability to reference all video calls across our organization. I also love that you can easily skip from speaker to speaker based off the recording framework that is segmented in the audio below.
What do you dislike about the product?
The quality of the video recording can sometimes* be fuzzy when you are trying to view in fullscreen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickly reference historical sales/customer calls..
Gong a great tool for both internal & external use
What do you like best about the product?
A great tool to ensure we capture all customer details during web discussions. We frequently return to the Gong to dig deeper into ways to drive client value, and clients often love receiving the recordings as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes searching for a specific call is not as easy as I expect using the "search" box. Sometimes sharing a link with customers is problematic - need make sure not limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do a better job identifying keys to unlocking customer value. Helped us advance many opportunities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Strongly recommend as a sales enablement tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Unprecedented insight into my teams calls. Gong allows me to identify the training needs of my team and also keep a record of sales calls which I can review later and postmortem why we lost a sale.
What do you dislike about the product?
The volume of calls can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping is improve our close ratio.
A Great Tool for Account Management!
What do you like best about the product?
One of my favorite features is the breakdown of who is speaking and when. It gives me the ability to track down a specific part of a conversation efficiently. Because I have access to calls across my entire organization, I also use this feature extensively when reviewing calls that are relevant to my clients, but that I was not necessarily on.
What do you dislike about the product?
The resolution on video call recordings could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to track and organize calls, go back and review important items for summaries, next steps, and access relevant calls that I may have missed or took place before I took on a client.

We beta tested Gong and it's just improved each month since we started using it. Love the ability to search my calls, hear how my colleagues are doing things, share calls with clients...
What do you dislike about the product?
Silly thing - like it seems to takes longer than I'd like to auth Google Apps to log me in.

Training, consistency in calls and demos, ability to be coached better and more effectively
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely use it or at least pilot it. Integrate it with Salesforce so you have history of calls massively helpful if you have turn over in your org. it will help improve revenue and your sales cycle

What do you like best about the product?
Gong has been a great tool for coaching opportunities. As a salesperson, it's difficult to go back in time and see where you have room for improvement. Gong allows us to do so by easily accessing calls and even using keywords to identify a portion of a call to quickly jump to that spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike about Gong, or at least that I know of.

We're continuously improving our coaching opportunities, from senior reps to your freshly graduated employee

If you implement, do make a concerted effort to review your calls. It becomes easy to pinpoint areas that need improvement.
Excellent Tool for Development
What do you like best about the product?
Being in post sales, looking back at last year renewal conversations are unbelievably valuable for picking up on previous conversations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a fan of the inconsistencies of the recorder not attending my meetings.

There hasn't been anything I don't like about the platform yet.

Every call is automatically recorded. I never have to worry about forgetting an important piece of the call. Followup afterward for internal champions by sending them the link to the call. Benefits are providing more detailed followup to prospects.
Taking notes is a thing of the past (and that's a good thing)
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. gong automatically starts recording all of my calls when scheduled through zoom. I like that I don't have to think about it. It's easy to search for any prior call. Playback sounds good. I especially LOVE how when you are reviewing a call, it shows the points in the call where each person is talking. It makes it so I can see whether I'm talking too much on any given call. Great reflection on calls in general.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike having to log in everyday. I wish gong would keep me logged in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love knowing that all of my calls are recorded and stored in gong. It allows me to be more present with customers because I know I can reference any part of our conversation later. I now take lighter notes and can listen better on my calls. That's a win.
A Product Marketer's Secret Weapon
What do you like best about the product?
While most people recognize the obvious value of Gong for sales, Product Marketers need to be getting in on the game. Gone are the days of PMMs sitting quietly on a webex with 6 other ramping new reps. Calls are easy to share and give you direct, on-demand access to the customer voice. There's no better way for a PMM to become a subject matter expert and learn the market than hearing a live call, objection handling, demoing, eureka moments, FUD, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need more analytics. For a product marketer I want to be able to analyze messaging from the field and slice and dice the data to better understand which messaging points the reps are comfortable with, which they are shying away from, and where things are resonating with a prospect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cutting months off of ramp time, learning VOC, objection handling, new hire training, collaboration and alignment with our field team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to ask questions on setup and integration. Gong connects right to your calendar and webex platform and just works. Reps don't have to remember to toggle anything, it just runs in the background which means it's "always-on." This is huge for generating massive adoption across lines of business. It's so hard to get reps to adopt anything. Gong proves it's value right out of the box, because it requires no additional effort or expertise from the rep.
