Gong is the digital call reviewing tool I've been praying for!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the feature in Gong that breaks down the call into categories. You can see exactly where certain topics are discussed and for how long. It shows the breakdown of talk time between each person on the call. It even provides you with an in-call transcript which I find has been consistently very accurate. You can navigate to any portion of the call based on topic or time. The sound quality is phenomenal!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike. If I had one critique it would be that the transcripts could use another voice training recognition update. It's accurate about 7-8 out 10 times but I think the heavy southern & mid-western accents of some of our members are the issue. So maybe do more voice/word recognition with those types of accents to improve the in-call transcript.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Member engagement is critical to our company operations and revenue. Using Gong has given us a seamless way to interpret call analytics and see where and how we engage members and then pinpoint what helps our associates be successful during member engagement.

I like that gong not only records calls, but also provides descriptive, fast, insightful analytics that allow immediate improvements.

Nothing comes to mind in terms of dislikes

Analyzing conversation for better use of tone, pace, questioning, strategy and also capturing insights digitally instead of manually with writing.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly reference and listen (or read in the transcription) key sections of a call is genuine game changer changer that has raised my efficiency and helped me immensely with my follow up preparation. Also powerful are the Points of Interest that help me analyze and plan for next steps. Finally, the ease with which you share calls with colleagues, prospects, and clients with minimal clicks is a major plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a number of secondary features shown to me during the demo but it is not obvious how access these. More guidance on the dashboard as to where to go and how to take advantage of the additional features would be helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing the time required to find and pull critical information from calls.

Captured Conversation
What do you like best about the product?
Post call it is great to review where improvements can be made with how the communication went with the customer. Accuracy of your customers inquires is captured, not missing key points of what they brought up or any missed opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Negatives to using Gong, I cannot think of any.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reviewing the call for accuracy has been a huge improvement in not having to go back and bother the customer for clarification. Gong saves you time and credibility.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It will save you time while allowing for accuracy in capturing all that your customers communicated.

The glitches in the product. If I walk away from my computer I almost always have the refresh the browser.

Gong allows me to have even more engaging dialogue with my prospects because I do not have to worry about keeping notes.

I would consider who would be administering it because it can be kind of glitchy.
In addition, I think it's best for outbound sales teams. I don't think inbound SDRs get that much value from the tool as their volume is much lower.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong gives me complete visibility into how sales tell our story to prospects, and have conversations about it

I wish I had Gong before in previous companies

Sales coaching has become much easier and faster. In addition, the ability to search recorded conversations by text is very powerful

Just give it a try. Once you see how powerful it is, you'll know you need it

I love being able to send call recordings for my customers to review. It's also an amazing learning tool to see how I can improve.

Sometimes calls will not get recorded and it will not pick up what I'm showing on my screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong helps me see where I can improve as well as being able to record my live demo's and send them to clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I suggest for those who are wanting to learn how to improve on their phone skills to use Gong. It's a great learning tool and can even be a good sales tool to help you close deals!

I love the analytics about talk ratio and the breakdown of subjects throughout the call! I also like the ability to share the call using a url to the person you had a call with.

There really isn't anything I dislike about Gong!

I have exponentially improved my sales skills by listening to my calls and focusing on the areas where I need improvement.
Gong is the perfect tool to improve your pitch.

Gong gives you recommendations based on your call. From pauses to percentage of time you spent talking versus the client.

The translation tool is pretty inaccurate.

I’m improving my calls. If I have a call with a client who’s spoke to my
company before, I can listen to the call, so I know what to bring up in my call.

Gong Helps Me Close Deals
What do you like best about the product?
Gong's ability to transcribe sales calls into a searchable script is particularly useful, it allows me to find the exact information that I'm looking for without going through the entire call. That said, the ability to listen to a call at 2x speed makes that process pretty painless as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
They've run into a few problems with recording calls for Google Hangouts recently, but these were resolved fairly quickly, so I don't think it's fair to judge them too harshly on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to send over a recording or a call to customers is very useful. It takes the work out of long follow up emails and customers generally like to be able to share these recordings with their team.
