I've been using Gong for 3 years at Terminus and it's excellent.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I am able to listen to my calls to go back and gather additional information, and I can listen to my coworkers calls for additional learning and guidance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The updated UI is not easy to use. I do not like the individual company pages
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to take great notes, and to learn more from my coworkers.

Love Gong! Honestly the best recorder for training and conversation intelligence
What do you like best about the product?
The transcript of the recorded call is accurate and love that the recording comes through via email pretty much right away after the call is completed. The transcript also breaks it down per the conversation, which makes it easy to find what was said at what timeframe. It is. easy to share with teammates and also receive feedback. I love the feedback feature. The feedback can be broken into the timeframe which makes it easy to know what you need to improve.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike. If I would give a recommendation, I would say it would be awesome if we could share the call with clients just snippets from the beginning and at the end - so pick and choose where you want to share.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training, listening to previous calls, receiving feedback, etc.
Didn't want to love at first but now I'm hooked
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is a great way for me to stay organized with meetings but also a way for me to improve my craft. I love being able to go back to transcripts if I forgot an important detail or refer back to calls earlier in a sale cycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a bit to get used to the recording announcement at the start of the call. I wish it could just be displayed visually vs. audio as it can feel awkward at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving my discovery and simplifying my messaging. It was also super helpful for me to get back up to speed after maternity leave and my book was being temporarily managed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It may take a bit to get used to it but try to lean into it and know that it's only going to help you improve and hold yourself accountable to personal development goals.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is a simple, easy to navigate interface that always me and my sales team to review key parts of the call where additional clarity and context are needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcription isn't PERFECT but it isn't bad either - and having worked in voice analytics before, this is definitely one of the better transcription offerings out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information repository, note taking, objectivity, etc. I love it because everything I need is stored in a convenient location so I never have to stress about forgetting a minor but important detail
Gong Useful for New Sales Engineers
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to search Gong for specific keywords, whether in the title or in the call itself. This is helpful when I want to find calls about a certain topic. This feature has allowed me, as a previously new Sales Engineer, the ability to up-skill in a variety of areas that my company can cover on a call, helping increase my technical acumen.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is that it is difficult sometimes to find calls where you are a speaker. Searching on a name will usually bring back limited results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem I am solving is staying up-to-date on demo best practices throughout the company. Gong allows me the ability to listen to calls of my colleagues not just in North America, but throughout the globe.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My advice is to think about the benefit the team will gain by being able to evaluate calls by themselves or colleagues.

Easy to listen to snippets of calls and learn what customers are talking about.

So far no complaints. It does exactly what we need it to.

Learning more about the customers without having the be on the call.
Neat tool to track and analyze phone calls
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is incredible at turning a voice call into text. From there, Gong will provide analytics on the text. How many filler words did you use? What percent of the time did the client speak? Easy to use and provides great insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, not all of my calls are successfully captured by Gong. I have also seen instances where a call is recorded, but saved under a different client. Besides that, there is nothing to dislike about Gong!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am still fairly novice with my Gong usage, but I appreciate that it can make the sales team stronger. If we notice trends, we can zero in and take advantage of them. For example Gong can help you learn, if a client says, "xxxxx" then they are xx% more likely to close. Using Gong effectively will make our client interactions better for better close rates and better retention rates.

Nothing, they are constantly adding new features.

Coaching, it allows call sharing and coaching down to the minute/second

User friendly. Very easy to send calls both internally & externally. Very appealing to the eye as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcripts are often hilariously wrong. I understand the challenge here, but there could definitely be some improvements made to that side of the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending recordings to prospects without having to send the entire clip. Having recordings expire helps us build urgency with our prospects.
Powerful tool for every department in our SaaS org
What do you like best about the product?
The calls searching is incredibly powerful, with benefits across the organization. Product gets to hear key features to develop, customer service gets a feel for the goals of the customer. And for me, Sales gets it all. note taking, insights, crm integration, keywords, buyer motivation
What do you dislike about the product?
I wished it allowed integration with other CRMs in it's deal page, or even hubspot contacts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training new AEs is really built around Gong. I can track key features and market trends in the daily emails.
