Very useful app!!
What do you like best about the product?
I'm new in my role and Gong allows me to speed up my training by hearing previous calls that cover similar topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, there isn't anything I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved training effectiveness, maintaining a library of topics.
Forget shadowing calls
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Gong is being able to shadow the orgs best content. For us, we have several great calls saved to represent the entire sales cycle, verticals, and specific technologies mentioned. Gong creates a self-sufficient training and enablement portal for reps to consume content with ease. You can download the Gong app and listen to calls similar to the way you can listen to a podcast. Brilliant!
What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing that could improve (and I'm sure it will over time) is the transcripts. Would love to be able to copy and paste portions of the call without fear that the AI isn't perfect. Other than that - no other downsides! There are so many functionalities that cover all areas I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Listening to my organizations best practices and hearing it multiple times over from different people and with different styles. Gong helps me learn at my own pace and pick up where I left off.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is useful if you are looking to avoid the "lone wolf" mentality in your sales org.
So helpful for anyone in or adjacent to sales.
What do you like best about the product?
Recordings are automatically uploaded and stored for external calls throughout the org. Having that repo is so helpful when I need to review any calls, either mine or my peers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that external emails weren't sent without my knowledge because I don't appreciate sending clients with auto-reminders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need more context when I speak with a new prospect, and that prospect has a lot of touch points wiht different people, and gong lets me provide a better experience by recording the calls and giving me auto access to them.

I'm using Gong at an accelerated rate. I love being able to review action items from any meeting.

The transcription makes errors sometimes.

I like that you can be able to go back and listen to calls. This is helpful because it allows room for coaching and improvement. Also, the tool allows the calls to be automatically recorded so that's convenient

I have yet to use gong for a long time, but it would be great if the calls could be sorted by team, and also individually so that if you want to listen to calls by specific team members you can easily go back and forth

Being able to go back to calls and listen to them for coaching purposes

What do you like best about the product?
Love how calls have both the video as well as a written transcript. Makes it super easy to go back and review calls and clarify information. Also makes it easy to go back and learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hmm. There really isn't much. Just have to wait for the call to be analyzed before being able to share it. But that's life.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is solving several problems. Learning is easier with Gong. Reviews are easier as well. And they can be done on our own time. My manager doesn't have to be on my call to give me pointers.
Data Driven Sales Technology
What do you like best about the product?
Gong gives me the ability to validate that the entire sales organization is aligned around our new sales methodology that we recently introduced, MEDDICC.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order to get the full value out of Gong there is another portal to log into and look at, but they mitigate this with Slack and email notifications, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is helping RetailNext pivot into a data-driven sales organization. We use it for onboarding and ongoing enablement, as well as reinforcing behaviors tied to MEDDICC such as ensuring access to power, developing Champions, and uncovering decision criteria and success metrics for key deals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong is a powerful part of a growing sales organization's technology stack. It's uses go beyond conversation intelligence into the areas of onboarding new reps, ongoing enablement for playbooks, seller skills for excellence, and forecasting with context and data.

Not easy to add Gong after the fact. Takes a little time.

Tracking of calls, to aid with training, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy UI/UX. Good search functionality, especially in the web interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as easy to do certain things on the mobile app. Two things I always go to web to do are filtering search by participant (because SEs never own the call), and and if I'm creating folders I only do that on the Web app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easy way to find calls that will help me be better at my job and/or review my own calls so I can be better.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compare the UI/UX to Chorus. If simplicity and ease of use is number 1 consider gong.
Amazing sales insight to get all those low hanging fruits
What do you like best about the product?
Funnel analysis. Gong outlines every deal that requires immediate attention. We did not buy it for that, but the data it gives is very actionable!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a lot to configure, so it's really time-consuming to make the most of it. We get an ROI from the start, but I still feel we leave some on the table.
