Invaluable Audit Trails Make Compliance a Breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to see precisely who accessed a sensitive file and at what time is invaluable. The comprehensive audit trails have been a real asset for our compliance reporting, making the process of security audits significantly easier and less stressful.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, it feels clunky and unnecessarily complicated when handling straightforward tasks. The interface lacks intuitiveness, which means that sending a secure file often requires more steps than I would expect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a secure way to lock down our file sharing with clients and partners, which is especially important when handling regulated data. This not only helps us stay compliant but also ensures that everyone feels confident and at ease when exchanging sensitive information.
Secure and Reliable, But Setup Requires IT Support
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Kiteworks for its strong security and access control features. Files can be encrypted, permissions are tightly managed, and as an admin, I can see exactly who accessed what and when, which is reassuring when handling sensitive data. The detailed audit trails and activity logs are fantastic because they automatically log every file activity, such as uploads, views, edits, shares, and permission changes, with user identity, timestamps, and IP details. These logs can't be altered by end users, making them reliable evidence. Plus, the centralized dashboard allows for quick issue identification without technical intervention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup and configuration may require IT support. The initial setup was moderate to complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kiteworks solves the problem of securely sharing sensitive files with internal and external parties. It offers strong security with encrypted files, detailed audit trails, and reliable logs that can't be altered, which is reassuring for handling sensitive data.
The best choice for data security and compliance
What do you like best about the product?
I like Kiteworks' support for compliance requirements because it supports multiple compliance standards such as NIST CSF, HIPAA, and SOX, which are very important for industries like finance and healthcare. The platform can unify all component logs into a single continuous stream, providing it to security operations and compliance teams, making threat detection and mitigation very convenient. This way, companies can more easily pass compliance audits. Additionally, I am impressed by Kiteworks' efficient collaboration features, especially its Safe Edit function, which allows me to edit shared files in a browser's virtual user interface without installing agents or plugins, making it very secure and efficient. These features indeed help companies achieve high standards in compliance and security. At the same time, Kiteworks also makes the initial setup process relatively simple, and the overall user experience is quite good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bandwidth Occupation: During the transfer of large files, there is significant occupation of network bandwidth, which may affect the normal operation of other services within the same network environment. Especially in situations where enterprise network bandwidth is limited, it may cause lag in other critical business applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Kiteworks, I can manage large-scale secure file transfers and ensure data security and compliance during transmission. Its powerful encryption and access control features safeguard data security and meet various compliance requirements. Additionally, Kiteworks offers efficient collaboration features, allowing internal and external personnel to securely share and edit files.
Robust Security and Seamless Integration for Large Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Kiteworks offers strong security & compliance with encryption, zero trust access, and support for laws like GDPR and HIPAA. It connects easily with tools like Google Drive, SharePoint, and security systems (LDAP, SIEM, DLP). It also tracks all file activity and supports flexible setups on cloud or on premises for large teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kiteworks interface & file organisation is a bit confusing and limited branding options. Customer support can be slow at times, and updates may need extra storage or manual work. Offboarding old users or partners isn’t fully automated yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If our business deals with sensitive or regulated data (like in healthcare, law, or finance) & needs secure, controlled file sharing across email or cloud, Kiteworks helps manage and protect all that safely.

I like that this software is super secure and has all the latest security features.

I dislike the price of this software and also the minimum user licence

Secure Content Communication and confidential document sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I used this as a document sharing platform for confidential data like bank statements and personal information. Additionally, this feature helps to secure mail secure outlook mail communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
My first experience with Kiteworks was realizing that there is a time limit for how long documents are stored. After a point of time, we have to request the sender (person who shared the data) to extend the time period.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since it is a secured platform, we can make sure that no one else can access.
The perfect way to maintain confidentiality
What do you like best about the product?
The easy of use matters while you are have to share data and track activities with non-technical users and Kiteworks provides this in paralel with high security standards. This last part is high value for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not found issues (yet).

Exchanging confidential data with third parties with a excelent level of security and full controll.
Kiteworks is a great regulatory compliance software.
What do you like best about the product?
Koteworks has great and clean user interface. Kiteworks effective manages risk and protects your highly confidential data/files from inadvertent exposure. It is being used since long time and has a brand name in the market. It has a great security and good amount of features. It allows multiple sharing in one go.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing of kiteworks is on the higher side. Being expensive make the software little unaccessible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kiteworks allows us to share the file securely providing a safe environment. Kiteworks is an easy and apt software for file transfer. It is robust.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use when it comes to the admin UI + being able to reach out to support for any questions and they respond rather quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The unpredictablility of the system. Things that should work dont always work which end up causing more issues down the line.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kiteworks provides us a safe, secure, and easy way to send and receive data to internal and external users in a more efficient process. Since we work with a lot of third party vendors sending data back and forth with Kiteworks removes the additional work of providing them access to an internal system. The ability to give users access via just their email solves the problem of having to open our internal systems.
Positive and very professional
What do you like best about the product?
Kiteworks is very easy to use. User interface is clean and modern. Kiteworks support and technical staff is very knowledgeble and very experianced with the sustem and industry.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of a downside of using Kiteworks. One item to consider improving on is Project Management. We just did a migration from on-prem to hosted and it would have been nice for the Kiteworks team to have a "playbook/project plan" to share with client to better understand the work it takes. Kiteworks team is very knowledgeble and experianced in this domain, but as a client I dod not kno what to expect and how it was going to play out.
