Helps us run our business
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is fully customizable and saves us so much time with automations. It keeps all of our information in one place
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little intimidating at first if you don't have experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are much more organized, it saves so much time and helps with accuracy
Versatile Database and Workflow Design Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is accessible to no-code database builders and very adaptive to the needs of different users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable is not designed for highly collaborative organizations. It is hard to coordinate use of the database across internal and external teams, or to take a collaborative approach to platform design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable allows you to build customized platforms for tracking different types of data, and to visualize that data in an automated way. Without Airtable, I would have to sort, analyze, and compile large amounts of data in a less efficient and intuitive way, and the visualizations/integrations with other programs would take longer time.
Great tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to link tables together easily. The ease of collaborating, automation, integrations, and roles makes the tool a win for our organization. Additionally I like how easy it is to share tables and add users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would have loved more support when adopting it at our organization. It is such a robust tool and I know we are under utilizing all of its functionality. Additionally, outlining our use case and aligning the design would have improved user adoption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage our strategic initiatives collaboratively. We also leverage it for product development with our internal and external team members, which reduces development and communication friction. Myself and others in the organization use it to manage our workloads and to stay on top of our individual tasks and also monitor those of our team members.

Airtable is a fantastic tool for small data visualization but suffers as data size scales
What do you like best about the product?
The UI and UX for analyzing data. Its filter menu in particular is fantastic. I use it multiple times a day at work as it is very easy to set up small datasets with simple modelling, and do some quick filtering and reporting. This is specifically useful when I need to share data and reports across non-technical coworkers where a python notebook wouldn't suffice.
The built-in modules are great too, but could probably use some additional support - specifically the search, csv import, and pivot table modules.

What do you dislike about the product?
The backend API for airtable is atrocious. There's a global 5 requests/second limit per base, and unfortunately this also includes operations triggered by active users in that base - so its literally impossible to reliably program api calls into bases that are actively being used. This makes it really difficult to integrate airtable with production tools that need reliable uptime.
Likely relatedly, the bases really tend to struggle when data gets "large". Even 10k rows in a base will cause things to slow down.
"Primary columns" are also pretty frustrating, they're very restricted, the only thing you can link records on, and its really awkward to search a table that has a unique primary column (like a record id or uuid).
I've also had pretty bad experiences with customer support, often dodging my questions and not really helping resolve these performance issues.
The pricing is also pretty bad, with frustrating restrictions on number of users allowed and per-table record limits.

Cross-platform data sharing and visualization. I use it as a developer/engineer as a platform for flexible workflows for the rest of my company. I create bases and leverage the no-code features to allow our executives and sales/cs teams to access our key data sets.
The best database / app building software out there.
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Airtable daily for 5+ years now and were blown away with the number of potential use cases for streamlining all areas of business. We are currently using it for Project Management, Accounts, Marketing and Internal Comms. The service has came a long way since we first started using it and comparing it to competitors & alternative software it is in a league of its own.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not uncommon to encounter roadblocks when creating bases, however there are always workarounds. The support team and online community are great in providing solutions and assistance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Communicating and disseminate accurate information from one source fo truth to all of our stakeholders.
- Implemted an internal invoicing and ordering system

I've loved almost everything about Airtable!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to use and teach. I've spent the past 3 years learning the more advanced parts of the tool but I picked up the basics really quickly. I also love the wide-ranging capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was super frustrated when I set up an email-based Airtable automation that ultimately went out from "Airtable Automations" instead of my email address. I learned I missed a "see more options" button far too late, which may have cost me recruits for critical user research.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enabled me to build out several interfaces for underlying databases that would have overwhelmed my clients almost immediately. They went on to share their experience with us and with our interfaces, which led to more business.
Can do (nearly) everything you ever needed from a spreadsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I use Airtable for everything – literally from content management to planning my wedding. My team has an enterprise-level account, and it gives us access to some really great features like automations, exclusive view styles (like Gantt charts and timelines with dependencies) which makes this platform one that's user-friendly but able to grow with each user. It's like if SmartSheets and Trello had a baby. If I could use this platform for task management (users CAN, just my team doesn't), I honestly think it would be my daily one-stop-shop for my content marketing work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some pretty serious limitations if you aren't willing to pay to play. It's useable, but you'll notice the limitations. I wish that the automations were compatible with the task management system my team uses so that things were a bit more seamless – right now, we have automations built in Zapier that move tasks from intake through to Basecamp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team can keep track of deliverables, product offerings, even freelancers and previous interviews we've conducted in Airtable. Instead of random folders full of files or lists, we can access this info anywhere we have internet and easily digest the information in each base.
Airtable's helpful uses in a post-secondary setting
What do you like best about the product?
I love that, as a person who's not typically considered very tech-savvy, I can use Airtable with ease for a variety of purposes. When I started my current position, there was already a large Airtable database which I needed to dive right into. It was a little daunting at first, but I found the Airtable interface extremely easy to navigate. A few months later, I was tasked with migrating that system into a brand-new Airtable setup and found that process easy as well.
For our purposes, we collect a lot of student data, as well as information about scheduled events, event registration, appointments, and projects students are working on. Some of these tables have thousands of records, with 50+ fields of data about each. The ability to filter, group, hide and sort in personalized views has been incredibly valuable as everyone on our team has different needs with that data - and for many of them, the sheer volume of information can be overwhelming at times. It's nice to have the option to simplify things for those people without removing the information entirely from the base.
Airtable has integrated with so many platforms including Calendly, EventBrite, Outlook, FillOut and Luma - and for anything that wasn't as easy to correct directly, we've been able to find a workaround using Zapier.
I check various parts of our Airtable multiple times a day. I love having all the data right in front of me, without needing to go to multiple sources and make the connections myself. I also love the additional features which have been introduced since I first started using it, such as dual-sync. So many of the things which were initially pain points have evolved over time, so you know they're great at listening to their customers' feedback. I'm excited at how far the Interfaces have come since they were first introduced, and can't wait to see what new features they roll out next!

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the help articles on their site were kept more up-to-date. Sometimes when I'm searching for a feature, the article will be several years old and the location of a certain menu/button has changed, or it no longer exists.
