It is a good tool to work with
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Meltwater is how user-friendly it is in terms of its interface; it's genuinely intuitive and easy to navigate. I also appreciate its PR assistant, which streamlines certain processes and helps avoid starting from scratch. Additionally, it enhances overall efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about Meltwater is that you have access to only 6 topic lists to follow, and it lacks a preview of the news it displays. Additionally, this limitation can hinder the breadth of information you can monitor effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me connect with journalists interested in covering the field I work in, which is women and education. It also assists me in tracking topics of interest related to this and facilitates the distribution of information where I want it to be. Additionally, it streamlines the outreach process for my specific niche.
Helpful but overwhelming
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater offers a ton of monitoring and metrics, and once you learn the system, you see how valuable it is. There is a learning curve and that is daunting. They do have a ton of resources and classes though that make learning it easier. And our rep is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't love the monitoring as much, because I feel like that is one of the more complicated parts to learn. If you're not an expert in Boolean logic, it can be difficult.Our rep has always been extremely helpful though when it comes to helping us with searches though. I also hate that you can't monitor LI, but that's on LI, not Meltwater.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater makes it easy for us to build and update media lists, track reporters' engagement, and monitor relevant issues. It also user friendly once you understand the system.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy and simple to use and it has included a lot information about influencers for LATAM.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not consider microinfluencers that are sometimes important for our brands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time saving when searching for influencers.
Meltwater is a great platform for all things social media marketing!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Meltwater has a team dedicated to their cusotmers. If I ever have an issue or question, big or small, there is always someone there to walk me through it. Whether it be the live chat assistants, or my team's personal contact at Meltwater, they are there to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've notice that the resolution of our posts tends to be lower when posted with Meltwater vs. posted directly. I'm not sure if that's an issue with all third-party platforms or if that is specific to Meltwater.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater allows us to manage our social media marketing all in one place.

Top 3 benefits: News Summaries, Bilingual News Wire, Ease of Tracking Results
What do you dislike about the product?
Results from smaller and niche pubs and G and Mail aren't always captured and some content is behind paywalls, also the French outreach isn't as large.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Results reporting to the staff and board about coverage

The platform is easy to use and the client support team is always available to help with any questions

My company and I use meltwater to track current news, create alerts for any celebrities we work with, in order to make sure we're staying up to date with the latest information.

What do you like best about the product?
I'm absolutely loving how effortlessly accessible everything is, and the way insights can be grasped in a flash. This is seriously impressive!
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater changed it's interface recently and finding the areas needed can be confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TV Eyes and Broadcast monitoring. Also, knowing how many people articles reached.
One platform for all things data, including articles, blogs, twitter posts, newspaper articles
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very easy to use platform, easy to navigate. One doesn't need much training before using Meltwater, the rabs are self explanotory. It also generates insights from data by itself, that's super cool.

When you search for something in the search bar, sometimes it takes really long to pull out results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps me pull out social media results for my analysis. I like working with Natural Language Processing models and it gives me just the right text data I need for all my models.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how it integrates with Slack, so I don't always have to sign into Meltwater to get alerts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Analyze should be called "reports" or "analytics." It's confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I know what's happening with our brand and all our portfolio companies. I can easily celebrate wins and get ahead of bad press.
Database of press contact list is terrible, stinks on ice, useless
What do you like best about the product?
I like that its press release distribution feature lets you track who opened and what percentage open rate BUT its limited because your lists are incomplete, out dated and seeded with useless generic emails that do me no good
What do you dislike about the product?
Your press contact lists are useless outdated and irritating - i need accurate PERSONALIZED names of producers and reporters not the generic ones and the main switchboard phone numbers that compromise your lists. - A press release or outreahc note is no good unless I can do a person to person direct email or phone call to follow. For instance, there are 11 shows on Fox Business - I need the names and emails of those bookers for each of those shows clearly delinated in one place and you have none of them readily available. Start with JJ Smith from Mornings with Maria and work your way through the schedule through the Bottom Line.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
at present, it creates more problems than it solves - get better information like personalized update emails for producers and reporters -useless without it
