Helpful, User-Friendly, and Effective
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to see the impact reports on articles involving clients and setting up dashboards that cover all social media activity surrounding relevant topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the process of adding contacts and organizing them into lists. I feel like the process could be made easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love being able to see the real impact that my clients' work is making and keeping up with the most popular conversations in relevant areas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check out the impact reports! They are super helpful to those in the media industry.

What do you like best about the product?
I'm my estimation the best part of the Meltwater ecosystem is the ability to receive alerts as stories are published. This is critical as issues develop in the news. Working in a regulated industry it is critical that we keep abreast of developments in legislation and with our competition.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Meltwater included a larger number of included dashboards. A welcome change would be the ability to create a dashboard for every search or set of alerts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The greatest benefit that we have solved for is quantifying the reach of a story. This is crucial to communicating the value of earned media.

What do you like best about the product?
User friendly and you don't a la carte me to death!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes they miss the smaller pubs in my market, but when told to add them, it's never an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Demonstrating value and reach is huge; working with the team to create better searches is very helpful and really cuts down on the amount of manual work I have to do within the system.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of using the keyword search.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited dashboards and widget function
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily track a return on investment in terms of the potential to reach a targeted audience and gathering metrics to determine if the efforts put into a campaign paid off.
Meltwater has been easy to use, and very effective for my work
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use is wonderful. It allows me to get my information out to the contacts I want. I appreciate the fact that I can organize my contacts by groups. The feature that is most helpful to me is being able to search for news contacts in different areas of the country. I also can check with the local area to update old emails as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would say I dislike about Meltwater is the fact that there are so many new and useful features offered, but our budget does not allow to add them on and they are not included in the general package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting our stories, information, photos and news releases out to the appropriate contacts in a timely fashion. It helps me with scheduling out releases and allows me to see who is opening what and where improvements can be made to attract attention to our organization. It has also helped me gain a well-rounded awareness of when and where we are being mentioned on social and the news through the daily reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a program to consolidate your news marketing and managing needs that also implements social tracking, Meltwater has it all. Their team is willing and ready to help and walk you through all their newest updates as well as train you on any current features. Ask them all your questions, and they are happy to answer them!
Good customer service decent value product
What do you like best about the product?
I am able to have a good sense of overall media and social media around a topic we are looking into.
What do you dislike about the product?
I silike that the influencer database isn't updated on a monthly basis and also I don't like missing specific sources that are occasionally not pulled in by Meltwater.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking media and social media, crisis managment, building media relationships.
After using Meltwater for a year, we're doing everything we can to make sure this fit in our budget.
What do you like best about the product?
We love the daily social media alerts that we sometimes miss on our own. We also love the ability to send reports that highlight our activity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, because of the commonality of our faculty names, we have random people show up in our searches - such as professional golfers, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to prove our reach and share of voice - and find those social media mentions we don't see.
We have been very pleased with the exceptional customer service Metlwater offers.
What do you like best about the product?
If I need 1 on 1 attention, all I have to do is request it. Our Meltwater Rep. is knowledgeable of the product and leads us in the right direction.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times the dashboards are confusing to operate. Some of the graphs could be better labeled and user friendly. I would like to be able to easily transfer reports into a pdf that is easily explained and presented. There seems to be a disconnect when it comes to that. i have had a couple lessons with my rep on this, but it seems to be more difficult then we think. My time is valued highly and cant designate hours to putting together reports. Maybe 5-6 per year would suffice. Also, we don't have much room in our budget for additional expenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The media database is extremely useful as well as the TV Eyes function. This has been beneficial when sending recaps to internal dept. and external. Certain benefits are no doubt the media database. Being able to send out specific targeting press releases has directed impacted our red line and our sponsorship department. Supplies the needed answer of "What is success?

Make sure you know what your company needs so that Meltwater can help build out your profile.
Lots of upsides
What do you like best about the product?
The customer service is the reason we switched to Meltwater, and there still is no reason to leave. Also, the latest upgrade helped make the system more user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, design and layout are hard to format in the news releases. But that's a small problem, nothing that would make us want to leave.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are getting better and better new and social media tracking results all the time, which means we are more able to quantify our work to management.

This is a powerful system for tracking media and social media mentions, distributing information and tracking those distributions. It also is easy to use and the service is top-notch.
Limitless Potential
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about the Meltwater platform is that there is so much that you can do with it. Having an interface that searches the internet for the terms you set is amazing. Having a database of journalists to reach out to is also an amazing perk.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it has so many features and there are so many things that you can do with it, that can also cause information overload and there is a large learning curve to using the platform. It has taken us a while to figure out we can make this platform work for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem we are solving is that we are able to find articles and social posts that mention our company in them without tagging us. This is helping us make sure that our customers are having a great experience and that we are able to capitalize on mentions.

Make sure you have specific goals that you want to accomplish with this platform. Talk to others who have used it and get their feedback.
