What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater's biggest strength is having social management, social listening, and analytics all in one place. It helps me monitor industry conversations, track performance, and quickly turn insights into action.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can feel complex to navigate, and reporting often requires additional manual work to get exactly the insights I need. Some workflows are less intuitive than specialized social media management or analytics tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps me manage social media, monitor industry conversations, and track performance in one platform. It saves time, improves visibility into audience engagement, and helps inform content and campaign decisions.

Useful for Media Contact Search but Needs Broader Article Access

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Meltwater allows me to find media contacts on certain specific topics. I also appreciate being able to look for articles that mention the topics I'm interested in, which helps me develop pieces and articles relevant to our target audiences.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like more scope in looking for articles behind paywalls. Also, there are many articles written in languages from Asia and The Pacific, that Meltwater cannot find. The initial setup isn't so easy because you have to study a lot of the features before you're able to take advantage of them or use them to their fullest potential. I also only want to search for articles and authors that cover Asia and the Pacific but Meltwater keeps giving me suggestions from the United States. I need Meltwater to refine this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps me find media contacts on specific topics and look for articles that mention topics I'm interested in, which aids in developing relevant pieces for our target audience.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Meltwater because it allows me to look across brands at sentiment analysis. It's very user-friendly, and I can easily look up articles. The tool really helps me understand my client's brand and identify areas of strength and weakness in the media and social media landscape. The setup was very easy, super user-friendly, and didn't take long.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think sometimes I'm a little curious if the numbers are all quite right. It feels like different functionalities give different numbers, and the numbers aren't always as clean as I would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater for sentiment analysis across brands. It's user-friendly and helps me understand my client's brand, highlighting strengths and weaknesses in media and social media landscapes.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to pick one thing, it would be the learning curve that can come with such a feature-rich platform. But I see that as a natural challenge of a powerful product rather than a major drawback.

Meltwater Makes Reporting Easy for Marketing Communications

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Meltwater is a comprehensive tool for our marketing communications team. We regularly use the media relations and engage (social media) functions. The reporting is much easier than our experience with Cision was; after the dashboards are set up, it's quick to grab the stats we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our organization's analytics reporting is niche and has a very specific format, so unfortunately we're not able to use a lot of the cool Meltwater features like sharing newsletters and interactive reports. We have to manually grab the stats and/or charts to put into our organization's Word document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We really struggled with reporting when we used Cision. It would take hours upon hours. With Meltwater, it's much faster...like 5 minutes. Our reps have always been very helpful with troubleshooting any issues.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Meltwater for media monitoring, and what I value most about the software is its ability to consolidate a large volume of media intelligence into a single, structured platform. The real-time alerting capabilities are particularly great for tracking relevant brand and industry mentions across news, social media, and industry mentions. I also appreciate that insights and media data can be exported to Excel for further analysis or integrated into visualization platforms such as Tableau.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a comprehensive platform, but it has its own flaws too. For example, the interface sometimes can feel too complex, especially for new users, and it may take some time to fully onboard users. Additionally, refining search queries and filters can require trial and error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater to solve the challenge of tracking brand mentions across many channels, valuing its consolidation of media intelligence and real-time alerts for brand and industry news.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is clear and straightforward, the Account rep (Owen) is great and super helpful, the dashboards improved significantly since the introduction of Unified dashboards, filters and custom categories are great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recent data restrictions and limited exports, the way engagement is measured (some things it includes, other things it doesn't, reporting on the overall impact of the piece tasks more time than it should and often some manual data collection
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a solid social listening tool, if you have 2 braincells you can get some solid insights from it.

What do you like best about the product?
They have great analytics! Annual, quarterly, monthly, campaigns, etc. very easy to define and find data for.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little difficult as a user at times. The flow is more robotic than smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measuring PR campaign performance, pitching to media, and media monitoring. We had no way to measure these things before. The software also integrates with Slack where we can track our progress as a team.

What do you like best about the product?
Our agency has found it to be an effective tool for media monitoring and social listening. It makes it easy for use to track news coverage and stay somewhat on top of industry chatter.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's maybe not as intuitive as I would like, especially at the high level where you would expect it to be most intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest client produces what can best be described as commodities, so it helps us to pare searches down to a level that are beneficial to us; not a lot of junk in our returns.
