Helps Me Track Down Media Mentions Efficiently
What do you like best about the product?
It helps me do my job better, tracking down media mentions for broadcast or news.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are certain articles it doesn't pick up (eg. Globe and Mail articles never show up on Meltwater), but I believe that may be due to the Globe, so might be out of Meltwater's control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Outstanding Reporting and Customization, Backed by Stellar Training
What do you like best about the product?
Outstanding reporting tools, Meltwater Academy and stellar training opportunities offered by our representative Cris Rice.
What do you dislike about the product?
I need to spend more time in Meltwater to master all the wonderful tools available there. Love the opportunities for customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us track share of content, produce campaign and crisis communication reports, and cull top headlines.
Intuitive UI with Room for Price Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the UX/UI interface of Meltwater is easy to use. The visuals are also attractive and pleasant to look at.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the social media monitoring were part of the central service instead of as an add-on. I think it's a valuable addition to your core offering, but the price point is too high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater for media analytics and intelligence gathering. It helps me measure impact and tweak my strategy towards what is working and what isn't.
Comprehensive Social Media Monitoring with Room for Reporting Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I use Meltwater for social media monitoring and find it super comprehensive and granular. It provides fast access to thousands of signals that I use for monitoring risks. Additionally, the setup of Meltwater was quick, taking about 10 minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Flexibility in the reporting is lacking, it's all preformatted and the boolean is not that powerful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater for a unified, bird's eye view dashboard and visibility, which offers fast access to thousands of signals for risk monitoring.
Easy-to-Use Interface with Exceptionally Supportive Team
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is easy to use, and the team does a great job of making sure you understand all the features within the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the methodology behind exactly what I’ve queried can be a bit confusing, but the team is consistently responsive and helpful when it comes to answering my questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It fits smoothly into my workflow, especially since it’s a product I’ve been using for a long time. They also keep rolling out helpful AI features that genuinely improve my performance and the ROI I get from client work.
Easy to Use, Flexible Coverage Additions but Could Improve for Canada
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Meltwater is easy to use and that you can add any missing coverage.
What do you dislike about the product?
It wasn't picking up all Canadian coverage or Canadian radio coverage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Media monitoring, insight reports and journalist searches, which make our work easier and back our work by insights.
All in one for media tracking & analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to search & gather articles. Also the ability to have an archive is great and analytics is top tier!

Not very Intuitive and hard to set up. Also, making changes and using functions beyond what is used daily is hard to get into. Also very pricy

Media montioring for sure, it helps to keep track of media hits and its easy to have the information in one place.
Easy-to-Use Dashboard with Robust Search
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use dashboard and searches. They are fairly complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes non-intuitive. When in the middle of an intensive search, failure to save properly can easily lead to loss of large amounts of work, requiring one to start over.

I use it to produce daily media reports. Best way to do it, in my experience
Great product for digital media success!
What do you like best about the product?
The Meltwater tool has a lot of features, so many so that it may feel overwhelming at first, but they are clearly demarcated in the software. Particularly useful for us are the Media Relations tool, which allows us to quickly find journalists active across the world, as we are active and invest in multiple countries. The other features that are incredibly useful not just for our stakeholder management team, but also other internal stakeholders, are the automated Daily news Alerts, which provides a comprehensive overview of where we've been mentioned in the media, so much so that we were able to cancel another subscription we used for media monitoring and allocate those resources elsewhere.
Customer support has also been great, the success managers (while they do rotate out fairly often) are proactive and have helped support our journey throughout, particularly with trainings, onboarding new users, and refining our media monitoring and searches. And the new AI Mira chatbot, while having some bugs, has made it much easier to search for contacts and journalists!

What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can sometimes be a bit laggy on web, so it does take a while to load at points, but given the amount of resources it provides it is understandable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing us a comprehensive overview of where we stand in the media and where we're mentioned, anywhere in the world. With a lot of local outlets writing about us (we're active in dozens of countries worldwide), it's impossible to manually keep track of them, so this easily saves us dozens of hours a month. And it's great for analyzing overall sentiment and reporting this info internally.
Flexible and Innovative, Needs Better Dashboarding
What do you like best about the product?
I use Meltwater for news and social media monitoring, and I love how flexible it is, allowing me to create as many search queries as needed, whether searching for information about clients as big as global listed companies or as small as startups. Another thing I really like is the pace of innovation. Meltwater innovates at a breakneck speed and truly cares about how its customers use the tool, always looking to improve it. The AI capabilities are also increasingly useful in getting relevant answers quickly. Meltwater allows me to scan the whole news landscape and effectively see all open social media networks, which is particularly useful. I appreciate their support in helping us get going with training and implementing searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboarding tools are somewhat frustrating compared to competitors. They are very rigid. I know they're working to improve them, and they have improved, but they are still too rigid. I wish the charting and dashboarding options were more like a business intelligence tool instead of being constrained by set combinations of metrics and dimensions. This primarily affects power users like myself. Additionally, access to platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram is limited, but that's common across the field, not Meltwater's fault.

Meltwater lets me scan the entire news landscape and see all open social media networks. Its flexibility allows unlimited searches without mention limits, and its AI capabilities provide quick relevant answers.
