We are manufacturing of Agriculture machine,for part modelling and 2d drafting solid edge make user friendly.

The software runs smoothly and fast with effectively designing and Modeling parts and Assemblies

I think it is difficult for amateur users but you can learn it.

We are making agricultural machinery using solidedge and model programming.
Solid edge: powerfull tool to stimulate the ideas and test it out
What do you like best about the product?
Software is quite easy to learn. We can prepare the 3D designs for different parts which are going to be used in the component/machine. We can easily build the virtual prototype and demonstrate the things.
What do you dislike about the product?
Software installation is quite lengthy process and if there is any issue in the installation then it is difficult to get it resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Below are the most efficient features from the solid edge:

It's very user-friendly interface with easy modelling steps. And drafting is time saving

Some advance features like surfacing need to improve to make more user-friendly

A Technology for Future Modelling
What do you like best about the product?
The most important thing about Solid edge is it provides wide feature to for processing assembly files post integrating windows indexing to provide outcomes on product lifecycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
It should have included to assemble all parts for desigining but sometimes it misses to add those and proceeds further. Moreover the UI can be more better as of now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most probably it helps in Simulation and manufacturing for my company. It is very helpful for us to proceed with 3D feature for modelling. Generally it helps us to get more efficient requirment for our company and teams.
Solid Edge: Easy to use CAD tool but not efficient for industrial use.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability of this tool to create different types of CAD 3D CAD models, 2D drawing models, Sheet metal design, and little bit of its ability of performing CAE of the parts. I like the simple user interface of this tool also.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I was in my previous role I was using it for industrial purposes, while using that time I faced mainy difficulty. Like, when we work on large scale CAD models, then it does not works well. Its FEA ability is vary week. So, we need to use other tool for doing FEA of the product. But its sheet metal design ability is very much appreciated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves many business problem related to the automobile industry. As I am a automobile engineer, I mainly used Solid Edge for parts modeling (CAD), 2D drawing, and Sheet metal design. I can do sheet metal design vary easily by using this tool.

What do you like best about the product?
The professional mechanical design system offers outstanding tools to generate and handle 3D CAD data effectively. With Solid Edge, projects are directed towards precise design solutions without errors. The software's modeling and assembly tools empower engineering teams to effortlessly create a wide array of products, ranging from individual parts to complex assemblies comprising thousands of components.
What do you dislike about the product?
They should work continiously to enhance the capability of performing finite element analysis of the parts that are designed. It does not work fine when we need to perform FEA, CFD, CAE, etc. But it works well when I use it for CAD.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Addressing important problems in sheet metal product design involves generating a flat pattern DXF suitable for laser cutting. We also used it for general purpose computer aided design.
Great 3D CAD, love how it manage visualization of big models
What do you like best about the product?
It is straight forward, I feel it is faster that other CAD programs and it has really good add-ins like the FloEFD for CFD.
What do you dislike about the product?
multi-body features and metal sheet environment, didn't feel straight forawrd to use.

Every design step, for drafting to manufacturing aid.
Solid Edge is good to have design work tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like utilizing various capabilities offered by Solid Edge, such as Synchronous Modeling, PMI dimensions, and motion analysis, among others. The latest version, V23, features an impressive new user interface, further enhancing the overall user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
When working with multiple parts in assembly mode, Solid Edge may experience crashes. However, this inconvenience can be mitigated by utilizing the auto-save option provided. Nevertheless, encountering such issues can still be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our clients, we use solid edge for analyzing existing models and assemblies in plants for mechanical work. It offers several convenient features, including XpressRoute and piping routing, which are user-friendly and simplify the process. Additionally, the sheet metal modeling functionality proves to be highly advantageous.
Not Practical 3D Cad software
What do you like best about the product?
Data Management, API that's all I like it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Poor UI, lots of bugs, not give confidence in work while using, Complicated commands, still using old technology in some command, lots of good productive features are already provided by competitor companies from last 10 yrs but still SE not provided those features, looks like it is 15 yrs old software and still in every new version it only updated very little, lots of advance features are still missing compare to other softwares, Some commands are high time consuming, Mates are very difficult to edit, delete and again mating is easy compare to edit. I found lots of improvements in SE compare to others CAD software, No VBA, you have to depend on other coding platforms.Smart Dimension are not "Smart". Lots of Maintenance Packs comes in year, that shows software is under development.

Solidedge is good for data management and API is user friendly, in some features it gives lots of customization.
