No-code Database is powerful!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to write markdowns, the ability to collaboratively edit in real time, and many other excellent features, but the ability to create and manage databases with no code is wonderful. You can use the database for various purposes such as task management, project management, Kanban, movie impressions of your hobbies, photos of fish you caught, etc.
Another exciting point is that you can set icons and cover photos for each page.

What do you dislike about the product?
Although security aspects have been enhanced recently, at one time there were no features such as operation logs or allowing partial publication of web pages. This has now been improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to use a collaboration tool, but it was only a text-based information sharing tool, and by switching to Notion, we can utilize the database and no longer need to use other services to manage each team's tasks and progress.
Best personal note app with superb functionalities and collaboration features
What do you like best about the product?
Best of the best is the super flexible embedding capabilities that makes note organisation and referencing easy, thus it is great to put things into structures anywhere within the documents so you dont have to go back to find and add by copy and paste.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing particular, but to make the best out of the tool you need to be willing to learn a little bit at the beginning so you can free yourself afterwards by leveraging the shortcuts, the drag and drop, the tables and the filters, after all, they are all still very basic and intuitive ones.

Information clipping and organisation in a more flexible way for personal and business users or a mix, saving me time to jump between excel and doc for cut and paste in google and able to use and display anything anywhere within the documents.
It's the easiest way to focus on what matters
What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to the power of its databases, Notion allows me to quickly find any information, even if it's from a long time ago. This gives me peace of mind and allows me to move forward in other areas of my work without stress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Databases are currently very powerful, and having so many options can be overwhelming. It would be good if they could be simplified a bit without losing power and customization capabilities.

My Favorite Project Management Tool To Date!
What do you like best about the product?
I've been looking for a great solution to manage a $259k SBIR Phase I Grant we received this past June (2022), and I look at other products, but they didn't meet my needs. I luckily stumbled across Notion, and it's perfect for my needs. As a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2004, I've managed numerous projects, from small projects to multi-million dollar IT projects for Newport News Shipbuilding. One of the biggest challenges is communication amongst the project team, and another is configuration management. Notion helped me solve both of those, easily.
It's very easy to use - when I first found it, I initially looked at consultants on Fiverr to help set it up. But I didn't go that route because as I started using it, I realized how simple it is. I even found a few YouTube videos that helped as well.
I'm actually presenting what I've done with Notion to my government program manager this week, to show him that we're managing a project in a new and different way than he's ever seen. Anxious to hear what he says.
I also LOVE that Notion offers help for startups, and doubles the offer for those who have participated in one of their recognized accelerator programs. My startup received a $1,000 credit through that, which has been extremely helpful!

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much - I have been able to do so much with it. That said, there are a few minor things.
1. I hate to see Notion send out emails telling people how to manage a book club, manage recipes (I use Paprika for that – it’s a great app and better suited for this function. Why? Because it auto loads website URLS that have recipes, and downloads the recipe, separating the ingredients list, directions, photos, etc. – Notion can’t do any of that) and so on when it can do so much more. I have seen similar issues with other apps that try to do the same thing, tell you how to use a PM app to manage your life, when most people don’t really need that.
2. I'd like to have a better way to have team members that can participate in the project, and be assigned to parts of it, but without giving them the ability to do anything inside it so that I can get everyone involved without having to pay a license for everyone. I already have 12, and I have 3 people that I would like to add for this.

As previously mentioned, a Project Manager's role is 90% communication. Notion not only enables a much better experience for that (even asynchronously), it also enables storytelling, which makes it much more memorable for the project team.
A fresh look on database organization.
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Notion in my current company, and it's the most intuitive database tool I've ever seen. Notion helps our team organize work and projects and it is great for brainstorming new ideas as well. There are so many different uses to it, I have only explored a small part of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of pages that are created can be a tricky thing if teams don't know exactly how to track and organize them. At least Notion is creating new ways to organize groups and pages. One thing I don't like is the fact that some changes are sort of "imposed" like the new default split screen view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me brainstorm and keep track of new ideas. It also helps my team keep our database organized and easy to find.
Notion is easy and reliable.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of navigation makes using the software really easy. The speed with which I can build structure and build on information is a valuable attribute. The endlessness of my ability to create pages and store and share information is meaningful to me. I also like the ability to customize with emojis for expression and, again, that navigation aspect. Lastly, I have found the Chrome plug-in very convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not dabbled in the formulas capability as I do not intuitively understand how to build with it. Then again, I haven't had much need for calculations or macro-like functionality. I do not even use the template features. Still, that's one unintuitive factor of the software to call out as a Dislike. It would be great if the software worked with me 'old' iPhone 6. Maybe that's a sign I need to replace the hardware - definitely not the software!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge warehousing is important to me. Doing so in a database is unimportant; rather, collecting information and resources into sections and by categories helps me mentor others, store my own archives, and draft prose.
I've known about Notion for a while but I only just finally "got it"!
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is so simple to use and its possibilities are almost endless. I love that you can create as many documents as you like and quickly and easily style them and add to them. I love that you can use the different pages in multiple different ways, either as a journal, or to take notes, or as a repository for documentation about different workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love it if the free version offered a bit more features for collaboration, but I guess it's well worth it to just get the paid version if you're going to be using it with a team to collaborate on any conceivable project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me by being a quick and simple place that's accessible anywhere that I can use to track whatever I want, whether that's documentation for software that I use, or journal entries so I can see what I've done on a particular day.
Surprisingly a tool I can't live without
What do you like best about the product?
I can organize my thoughts, research and notes. I especially like that I can share notes with others.
I have used database tools which are very capable and advanced. I have other parts of my account, and the ability to have private and public notes and subjects are imperative to me. The Mac app, the iOS app and the web app work seamlessly and don't slow down my computer. I now have more research there than ever, and it is maintainable, scalable and sharable. It's also private, and I can trust Notion to keep my privacy intact and not mine or sell my data, unlike what we suspect with free services like Google Drive. I also reach out to Customer Service and they are prompt and helpful with any of my questions.

What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes get confused about managing the users who are part of the account. And it's sometimes unclear to me about the billing, but customer service always answers my questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is helping to maintain a research and note-taking notebook that is safe from being lost. With Notion, I feel confident that my ideas won't be lost or mistreated by myself or others. I will always have my thoughts, research and notes, which are most important compared to physical objects.
Notion is the future of docs
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is
- simple when you need it to be. No notion doc ever needs to be more complex than an Apple Notes note or a Word Doc
- flexible when you want it to be. Notion's different block types enable easy calendar creation & viewing data management, and even layout changes that make docs fun and easy to digest.

What do you dislike about the product?
Notion's biggest fault is that without widespread adoption, Google Docs is just a better competitor. Having my entire company switch over to a new Docs app is next to impossible.
While it's speedy, I do appreciate that some people prefer the bare-bones note taking experience that comes with things like Apple Notes.

Notion has been huge in
- planning
- creating documents with metadata (e.g. this doc is relevant from this date to this date or a doc with a completion status)
- replacing the absolutely terrible structure of Jira

Wonderful tool for organizing all sorts of projects
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has continued to evolve into a reliable structure for organizing information across teams. Its flexibility in templates and layouts makes it easy to adapt to new workflows, and collaboration feels more seamless as we expand its use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve remains the main challenge, especially for new users. However, once familiar with the commands and navigation, the experience becomes intuitive and efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration across different projects. We work with multiple development projects simultaneously, which makes it hard to communicate both the current status and what is left to be done in each project. It is allowing us to manage multiple projects efficiently, with less room for miscommunication.
