Notion and its use of databases are superb for organizing and sharing information
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to start using. It is a superb solution for organizing work information for personal productivity and sharing it with teams. It connects to third-party apps such as Google Docs. You can organize and embed individual files in Google Docs, making it easy to share and locate files to support your workflow. It is very versatile and can be used for document management, task management, project management, and product management, to name a few applications. There are lots of documentation, tutorials and templates to get you started. Notion is a database management platform. When you create a database in Notion (no coding required), there are numerous ways to organize and view the data: relational data, view calendars, Gantt charts and a kanban board. You can include most types of files and code in Notion.
Notion is constantly updating the product. If there is a missing feature, wait, it may get added soon.

What do you dislike about the product?
Notion is deceptively powerful. This "dislike" is not a criticism. You can use Notion quickly; however, there is a steep learning curve to use its best features, such as databases, effectively. Notion has lots of helpful documentation and video to help you learn. There is a lot of control over the look and feel, but I would like more. You have three fonts to choose from, but it would be great to have more. These are nits. There isn't anything I seriously dislike about Notion. But I know what I'm using it for. If you want to organize personal notes, there may be better options. If you are in a shared/team workspace, Notion is in a class by itself to create wikis, databases, tasks, and notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing information with a team. Sharing information securely. We can include information created using Notion and add documents from other sources, including Google Workspace files, images, web links, videos, web pages, notes, meeting notes, contracts, document forms and more. The developers can create their workspaces, add code and connect to Jira and GitHub. We can also connect pages to Slack
We no longer use separate apps for project management, product management or notes.
Other benefits are fewer meetings, everyone is updated, communication is better, and we are completing projects more efficiently.

Notion is a fabulous tool. It's highly personalised, scalable and helps create transparency
What do you like best about the product?
It's highly personalisable. It's like IKEA for productivity. A 'do it yourself (DIY) productivity tool. It gives me a sense of satisfaction working on Notion cause I can tailor to my way of working.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of features being added is getting too much, and this might hinder increase complexity. Also, focus on improving the amount of integration would be better primarily slack and other startup digital tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is solving the problem of giving the user the power to solve their workspace problem proactively by letting them 100% control over UX design. No two users have the same Notion.
Great app for productivity management
What do you like best about the product?
The interface allows nesting of pages in multiple views (table, list, boards etc.) making for a streamlined way to save and organize data. Unlike some note organization apps where data feels scattered and cluttered, you can move information around in the most aesthetically pleasing way that works for your design and productivity sensibilities and preferences. It's a great app for work and life management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app is sometimes slow to load and sometimes it looks as if some of your data has been lost. This happens rarely and only with small portions of data, but when it does, Notion customer service is great at helping to solve and recover anything lost, in my experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is solving the problems that come with the information age, an overload of data that seems overwhelming to organize and keep straight as you try to get work completed. By offering a simple and sleek interface to put in any type of data and the ability to sort it to your liking, you receive some relief from this excess.
The Best Productivity System
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create an unlimited number of databases and link them together. Using this allows me to use Notion not only for work but also for personal purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hope Notion could add a more visible time management system, as many other applications do, as well as the option to create notes using the Apple pencil. The ability to choose custom colors for text coloring and highlighting will be an added bonus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a note-taking system, infinite calendars, unlimited databases, and endless levels of pages/databases. Having sophisticated filtering options also helps a lot in creating a clean and organized system.
Notion - One size does fit all, if you're willing to dive in
What do you like best about the product?
What I love about Notion is that it allows me to store information in various ways and share it in a scalable, yet safe way with team members, clients, and relations. I also love the fact that databases can be manipulated to be used in different views, something I have to pay for when using Trello. The last thing I'd highlight is the flexibility Notion offers when it comes to organizing information. It can be in databases, text, stored in pages, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to draw in Notion, especially when making notes I miss the functionality of being able to make drawings. Additionally, I'd like a better way to link stuff, like OKRs. I've attempted this and spoke with Owais multiple times - great guy by the way, very considerate and helpful - but we kind of ended up at the borders of what Notion can do. I want to set Key Results and than link tasks and experiments, which I can then score as "useful/effective" so it shows which tasks and experiments have helped into achieving said Key Result. This is probably a bit confusing to read, but I'd be happy to elaborate on a call.

Notion helps me store information about my business - what we do, investment processes, deal memo's - and share it with my team, clients, and network. Additionally, it helps me keep track of what I'm doing and should be doing on a daily basis. Especially the latter gives me structure. Although I need to admit that I have an on-and-off relationship with the task list that I've created. I can attest that this has something to do with focus and discipline.
Great tool for asynchronous collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is simple and intuitive to use having previously come from using Atlassians confluence it is a breath of fresh air to use something that just makes communication easy
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the api was better as there is so much more notion could be used for but lacks api feature or plugins. Hopefully this will be addressed in the future. Notifications could be better would be good to have them in a central place
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion has helped to solve the problem of how we do asynchronous communication within a remote based engineering team. Which has allowed the team greater visibility across projects.
It's nice to be using a smart, customisable and highly usable product everyday
What do you like best about the product?
I find it incredibly useful as a knowledge base. It's easy to embed documents from various sources, create databases for storing valuable information or running projects. The whole blocks aspect is quite nice as well, it gives Notion an edge in terms of usability compared to other note-taking tools out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tables - I have gotten pretty frustrated in the past because of the /table not working as I thought it should. I find it hard to copy paste data from other tabular data sources, moving things around is painful, the whole experience is just quite rough. Databases are one way to go about it but if youre just wanting to drop down a few numbers in a table they often feel overkill.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use notion as a knowledge base, we keep company wide information, team specific information and I personally run my todo lists off it too. It's a very covenient way of having all the information that you need through a comapany in one place.
If I'm running a user research campain - notion database

Thinking of documenting a process within your team - notion

The one for all platform
What do you like best about the product?
The possibility of use and personalization for anything. I have an educational plan and use Notion to organize my intire life, not just college but my part time job, my essays and tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't have a summary for my pages inside databases and it makes my databases very long. All the issues and suggestions of my journey i share with the Notion support chat(which is amazing btw)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving speed its the thing that I need the most specially on mobile and at each update it gets faster and that benefits my process a lot when I am not home with my computer.
The most versatile and usable business tool out there.
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Notion is the variety of ways information can be formatted, shared and stored paired with clean communication tools. I love the various media types I can include and the number of useful plug-ins grows regularly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion doesn't have a true spreadsheet function and so far I've found only Google Sheets can be embedded, which means we have to go outside Notion for true spreadsheet capability.
Also, the breadth of what Notion can do is super useful but it's hard to grasp at first so getting set up with really useful naming conventions and search parameters could be better supported to save folks having to back and correct those things once it gets up an running.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On my team the biggest problems we're solving with Notion are daily task assignment, daily communications that we want to keep records of (as opposed to Slack which is just 'in the moment' and not great for tracking backwards, and recordkeeping. My team checks our daily page throughout the day and drops notes there for standups and to communicate with each other so we don't lose ideas and feedback like we used to. They're also more productive because expectations for each day are transparent and clear. In addition, we don't waste time searching through multiple sources for historical information. We've set up some great recordkeeping that we're all using consistently. I also love that these tools can be modified as we use them so as our needs change, it's really easy to adjust with very little work.
Great tool for productivity and small companies, great UX. Young but much potential
What do you like best about the product?
The user experience is excellent and smooth, with not many bugs and apps for PCs and phones with all major OSs supported. Sync between devices is fast and reliable and allows you to focus on what matters.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support is not that great. Customer-facing direct support, in my experience, has always been entirely useless, and the engineers you refer to afterwards are slightly more helpful. Still, they do not really provide solutions; they often say, "they will implement this or that feature in the future", and then that feature is never heard of again. Notion risks jumping into the Twitter model...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me keep track of my progress, objectives, sales, and whether I am hitting the goals I impose on myself every week. This is crucial for my job and helps me be more time efficient.
