Table functions are too simple. I think the “merge cells” function is necessary.

Game-Changer for University Research
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Notion for its ease of use and the chat function, which is available at all times to help format, explain, and guide me through features I might not know yet. It's very helpful for navigating different tools in Notion and for file organizing. I also appreciate having all my files in one place due to the PDF import feature, which has been a game changer for university. Notion has been great for shared working spaces too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion centralizes my files with PDF imports, simplifies understanding difficult topics, and provides a chat function for feature guidance. It's a game changer for university work with shared workspace ease.
Flexible Pages and Databases, but Class Recording Features Fall Short
What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility of pages, ai assistant to easily learn new features, database capabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
I paid for the membership to have recordings of my classes more seamlessly included in my project management. I found out afterwords that only notes are taken and there is no audio file saved. If I wasn't so busy I'd cancel the paid version right now and keep using the free features because that's a high monthly cost for something I can get elsewhere that includes the audio files not just an AI transcript. I would like to be able to listen to lectures again. Also, the notes don't show what is being written in real time I can't reference them in real time during class if I missed something the professor said. All in all ai transcript tool is not that useful for students compared to what's available at competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeps my to do list, notes, and calendar all together for classes. Makes it easier to study.
Finally, everything in one place
What do you like best about the product?
I love how organized I can keep everything in Notion. The integration with other platforms means I can pull in content from Google Drive, Slack, and other tools without leaving Notion. I also really appreciate how I can work on one piece of information across multiple pages - linked databases let me reference the same data in different contexts without duplicating it. And the flexibility of different views (table, calendar, gallery, board) means I can visualize the same content in whatever way makes most sense for the task at hand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile experience could be better. While it's great for viewing content, editing complex pages or working with databases on my phone feels clunky compared to desktop. I often find myself waiting until I'm at my computer to make updates rather than doing it on the go.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion solves the problem of having multiple sources of truth scattered across different tools. Instead of tasks living in one place, documents in another, and meeting notes somewhere else, everything is centralized in Notion and interconnected. This means I spend far less time hunting for information or trying to piece together context from different platforms. When I need to reference a project, all the relevant tasks, documents, meeting notes, and decisions are in one place - which saves time and reduces the risk of missing important information.
Simple Yet Powerful for Documentation Needs
What do you like best about the product?
I like Notion for its simplicity and ease of use. It helps me keep thoughts in one place and share documents with peers, while maintaining a history of changes. Commands like table creation and header toggle are particularly useful, as they save time on chores, allowing me to focus on writing instead of spending time figuring out formatting. The initial setup was easy with simple logging in and access to the workspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's tough to keep docs organized. I want to keep a personal folder and those docs in those folders so that I don't have to search for a document every time. For now, I mark it as favorite, but then there are so many of them it has become difficult to find within it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps keep thoughts in one place, making it easy to share documents and track their history. Its commands save time on formatting, allowing me to focus on writing.
Excellent for Documentation but Needs Better Search
What do you like best about the product?
I find Notion excellent for storing our library of documentation and appreciate its tools for work that can be done within the platform. I like that they continue to improve. I mostly just use its page building tools to create clear and organized documentation for my team and other teams in the company to learn about my team's various processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion needs to improve its search functionality. From my experience, the search tool seems to give page content the same amount of weight as page titles. This can result in the pages I expect to see at the top of results being pushed below irrelevant documentation that contains the same words but in out-of-context situations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for product and process documentation. It stores our library of documentation well and has excellent tools for work. I create organized documentation for teams to learn about processes, and I like their continuous improvements.
